chuffed to get the meeting win tonight. vue is not one of my favoured tracks on the slippery sliddy brown stuff but managed to work through the field in the heats using the mashed in front bumper on the front.

the final was a good race between myself trav, cowie, johno and a few yellows along the way. the plan was to try and keep it neat and tidy instead of being agressive with the bumper this time and it paid off for me for a change.

i battled with 2nd place for a while think it was #61 and began the chase down of trav. he was unlucky to be held up by the dutch contingent but i got hampered slightly myself with personal battles. i managed to get up the inside of trav who was musterd outward onto the fence. i then managed to keep a gap from murf till the flag.

coming 5th from the lap handi in the gn was an acheivment again for me, typical that it wasnt for points tonight as i would have scored 43 .

wd to corny for his coc win the 1st lap was a bit of anyones race and turned into a bumper fest. but looking forward to next year, new cars, new number and the new wheel is working out just fine for me.

the one i have is a johnston which was the older first type to come out.

found this hiding away in the loft when i was storing stuff. last raced back in 2001 in-between when i was racing touring cars. still in working order.

reason being due to chipped consoles.

Set time to race at 9pm.

Was really looking forward to lastnights meeting as i was rather good on the pace but with us in the dark and lights turned on etc my computer didnt like it one bit and started to lag quite a abit making it rather difficult to drive. I was going to leave after the first race but just thought i'd stick with it.

 

Hopefully next year my computer will be getting upgraded with more RAM and much better Graphics card (can anyone recommend a good one to have?) so my computer will be much better while racing in the dark.

My pc is on max RAM and cant accept a dedicated graphics card so I'll need a new pc before I can get on better with some of these tracks. Having said that, Hednesford was no problem for lag etc for me (Baarlo is the worst for that) although I would have much preferred racing in daylight, I'd never done a lap in the dark round this place, so it's just one more obstacle to being competitive in the meeting.

 

Like one or two other old boys, I am driving a conservative style which seems hopelessly slow now, hopefully next season with surely a certain downgrade to yellow for me plus maybe these cars being tweaked I might be able to get back to enjoying racing as it's a drag being on my own a lot of the time with very little close racing after the first couple of hectic laps (I've usually been spun or crashed by then lol then I am on me todd and trying to get out of the way of cars as they lap me after that).

 

If not, it'll be Brisca Legends and not a lot else for me next year, as it's the only mod I have enjoyed the last 3 months or so.

dont worry al new physics for 2010, none of this sliding it round. think youve done well, just keep at it.

some heat faces are joining in now so 2010 should be a good year and on the pc front a much better pc will make life easier aswell gameplay wise.

aye was a good catch as we werent hanging about....gsxr 600s cant mind if hutch had the 750 engine in his though at that time, but that ended in tears anyway.........
