No its all force based, so it is literally if RFWheel hits something with force x then bend. If it hits with force x then break etc. The force is calculated, by speed, angle ETC

The problem is the trigger in rfactor for damage is force on certain areas of the cars, mostly the wheels. If you decrease the force needed to damage a wheel, bend suspension or knock something of then the car in front getting followed in cannot carry on and the car behind that has had no contact on the wheels just carries on as nothing happens. I can also tell you, if we straighten the cars up just makes things worse I speak from experience. As you say the discipline being defined by admin is at an all time high and quite frankly the solution is for the drivers to look at themselves, and decide if they want to sort it out.

This frustrates us as much as you, rFactor should have the capability to have moveable objects like tyres but it does not work properly its either solid or has the mass of a cone and bounces round the track. It may have been fixed in rF2 to be honest I don't know, but not much we can do in rF1. I have to say especially after some of your driving on Monday Mike, and your comment to me earlier in the season that you always keep your foot to the floor until you make contact with the car in front I find it highly ironic you posting this thread.

The main problem we have is that we currently have 21 tracks in use (15 tar, 6 shale) and all are tracks that F2s currently run at with the exception of Sexberium (And now Westworld with the fixture change). Fitting them all in to only a 38 meeting season is hard work, we are looking at ways to run more meetings in 2013. If your going to do another track make it shale, it would get far more use Maybe do two meetings a day and start them earlier? and if you cant do one then just book in for the one meeting Yea we have done this in the past and will try it out again over the winter to see what reaction it gets. The issues being 7:30 can be a bit early for those of us that work and 9 is a bit late for our Dutch contingent so less people can actually race over the course of an evening than usual

The rules on the website say any car in the semi final and always have done. Don't ask me why and I would think it will change for next year

Due to the issues with the walls down the straights at Taunton, we have decided to change the venue for next week’s meeting to WESTWORLD. The track is available in the downloads section of the website, and this will not affect the meetings English Championship status. We hop to see you all there.

I don't seem to be able to grab any luck in finals after winning two back to back. Generally a very good meeting on what is a tricky track. Again one or two rejoins to look at but all in all not bad.
