Maybe I have been lucky up till now, maybe it was worse tonight I don't know. I do know I did not enjoy it though, nothing to do with the mod or the track but a very small few who are just there to drive like banger drivers. I know I am going to get moaned at for throwing the dummie etc. But I really don't see why a couple of people should spoil the racing for everyone else!! Two things I would like to suggest 1.) In real F1s drivers have to complete 5 laps to show they can drive, I think its about time that was introduced online. 2.) Any Novice driver doing OTT the hits gets 1 warning and then a ban for a stipulated amoun of time. Would control peoples expectations even before they booked in to a meeting

Xpert Eleven football management game
drumbstick replied to Tricky88's topic in Non-League / Off Topic
Yep more leagues and cups sounds good to me. I have a bit of a run going now, could come to an abrupt end against the league leaders next game. -
Kruiz When you press ctrl alt delete click on new task and then type explorer.exe and see if that starts windows.

I cantthink of any really Pedz, Wedgeway has more background scenery that most tracks but less in the foreground should make up for it. My graphics issue is almost like tearing, except some textures load, some in the wrong place an dsome not at all and only when there are over 14 cars on track. Rebuilt my PC last night and just waiting for more activations to see if it fixed it. If not it is a new MOBO and chip which will have to wait until after xmas

Great work as always Splinter, although as Dan said 4 screns at 1 AM after a couple of pints did confuse my poor brain.

I actually enjoyed the racing I managed to do last night, despite not liking the track and no idea how I managed to score so many points only doing 3 heats. I have no idea how to solve my graphics problem so hope to see people next week but who knows.

Looking in that rfactor config option, you can play it in a window instead of full screen - is this a bad idea in terms of using pc resources though? Does everyone play on full screen? I don't know anyone that plays it in a window. It has to slow is down as it is not only redrawing the game every frame but part of the desktop as well

No you can just click on the download link.

Drumbstick 41 booking in as long as my PC and connection hold together

I'm waiting for somebody to reply to this? (I'm assuming that the answer maybe a little biaised with it being posted in the rFactor part of the forum) The most no biased view I can give is it depends what you are after. If you want to be able to sit on your sofa and play the game on you laptop with the keys then no. Otherwise there is no contest

Autumn Series Round 7 - Wedgehill Raceway 2/12/07
drumbstick replied to splinter's topic in F1 (rFactor)
Aye not sure what he was taking during the mid season break but, he has gone from facing the wrong way to winning races in a short space of time good job mate -
For anyone that has read my setup guide(Yes it will be updated again soon) you will notice that for every adjustment I have discussed so far all we have done is controlled where the weight is and how quickly it moves. If you hit another car side on all it does is move all this weight very quickly to places you dont want it causing you to spin.

Its something you just get used to mate I am afraid

Gutted I missed last night and cannot wait for splinters video As for contact this is how I work it out. On tamac I try to get a better run out of the corner and then just brake a fraction latter than normal just enough to nudge the other car a car or 2 width wide and run up the inside . It is possible to hit from futher back by braking half a second latter, any more than that and you risk either spinning the car infront accross your path or gettig loose yourself On Shale it is a different story, I only ever hit when I have a run and I am within half a cars length and then only when I can get the hit square on. Any other hit can be a bit unpredictable although with a wheel and full lock you can hold most of them. It is possible to run up the inside and hit someone side by side on the apex but only if your car is understeering, if you are sliding at all any contact could result in a spin. On exit if you are the inside car do not hit someone side on as you will spin more often than not.

If it is Fareham then the tar version would be better, or I can make a patch to take the bumps out of the shae version

Some of you may remember TGG starting this track some months ago. Well it got passed to me a couple of weeks back and I have got it to a state where it can be released for online use. The AI file is not complete so I suggest you do not try and race the computer but it all works fine online. I will release a patch at a latter date for the AI and camera files but as I probably will not get a chance to work on it between now and christmas there did not seem much point holding onto it. Thanks to Genie for laying the basic track and to everyone that helped test. Hope to see you on track soon And finally the link HERE Arron P.S if you were a tester you will nede to delete your previous version
