  1. Not raced for a couple of weeks and even then i was getting annoyed about being dumped hard into the fence when there wasnt anything riding on it or need to steam into me. Have always tried to race fair, move aside when quicker drivers are coming through and earn their respect that if the time comes they wont be too hard on me if they need to move me off the line. As an addition to Aub/Southy/Stumpy, why do some people feel the need to win the race on the first couple of bends with huge hits (i know some will be from a train of cars due to a bunched grid)? Really making me think about how many meetings i do this year and if i join next year.
  2. Name: Pistol Number: 205 Grade (overgraded) Yellow
  3. Really good preview. I'll be rolling out the old 'un for the final blast of 2012 - might try the big push at the start but probably leave that for Spike to do on the first corner.
  4. To let admin know i wont be racing on Monday, something about a wedding anniversary and a hotel or something was mentioned - ah well, better listen to the other half more... Good luck to those in the WF and to those in the cons semi. May the best man win.
  5. Knew i wasn't on the pace completely so let the fast guys passed and picked up 3 mid-low places, fairly pleased about it considering i didnt get involved/make any incidents! Congrats tto Allan on the final win, Stokie for top scoring and Ricky for sheer pace and points.
  6. i bought a dell dimension 5150 in 2006 and have upgraded the power supply and graphics card (GeForce 8800 GT). Bet someone will tell me it wasn't worth it now...
  7. Only did the W&Y race so might seem a touch harsh. Firstly, i thought the rolling lap was 20mph max, being front row outside of yellows - 2thirds down the back straight i was going 25mph and still unable to keep up with the pole yellow, when go was called the second row inside was also past me. In the race itself got taken out by someone cutting the corner - what annoyed me more was that no apology was forthcoming in chat afterwards. Probably best i wasn't able to do the whole meeting as i might have ended up being warned or banned for bad driving.

  9. congrats Martyn, yellow just means the reds are on you one turn earlier! God luck this week, i'm not around to race though will have to get ready for Brum the following week instead.
  10. All in all a good meeting, was amazed in the final to have started the final in 25th, and coming out of turn 2 on lap 1 in 15th!
  11. Cheers Dave, odd but it worked!
  12. Hi all, I'm trying to join the server but when i've entered the ip address, it's coming up with "No Games Available" and not listing the UK dirt server. Any help would be appreciated. I did reinstall Norton Internet Security 2012 a couple of days ago, but have turned it off to access the server but still no joy. Pete
  13. i've used that guide myself and it does translate to ftooz.
  14. late booking if possible please Pistol 205 white
  15. Many thanks for the congratulations, after the w&y when I span on the final lap whilst 4th I thought it would be another of those nights. Tried too hard in the heats to recatch people but in consi tried to get into the flow and it worked. Got a break in the final as every seemed intent on hitting everyone else (in one way or another) then played safe and let others through - being rewarded with 7th. Again got a break in the gn and concentrated on that flow showing that the cons win wasn't a flash in the pan. Well done to lew for heat and final, plus top scoring. Congrats to Martyn for the w&y win too. We'll see if shale suits me next week.
  16. Ok, so after my low feelings of last week, thought i'd give it a go - not realising how tough this trac can be! Thanks to drumb for his advice over the weekend - definitely made a difference, meaning in practice i could do 16 laps without spinning or collecting the tyres. So heats went as i thought except going a lot better in my second one then hit the edge of the armco into the turn, losing both front wheels. Apologies to everyone for the start of the final, it was this muppet (as Tom P so kindly described me in chat) who caught the tyres before turn 1, and main apologies to Frank B who was right behind me, nowhere to go and ended with no front right wheel - sorry for ending your race before the first corner. GN - not too bad then span into the inner tyres so sat and watched the rest from there. Maybe back to white will be good, at least a bit more breathing space at the start of the race and less pressure on myself to do well.
  17. Not a good night for me, seemed to be wrong place at the wrong time. Even when i was leaving room on the inside for people, they were still slamming me into the bend or when going for a place and alongside them, people cutting into me. That's why i left after the consi. Not sure if i'll be doing as many meets as i thought as i try to be fair, leave people room and still get put wide, ruining my race and therefore red mist starts to descend and my enjoyment goes.
  18. if you search the forum using "decal" you'll find all the threads that people have attached decal sheets too.
  19. My 2012 F2 skin: Shale car is in same colours/sponsors. edit: resize photos
  20. Pistol #205 white please May be on server later tonight or over the weekend - mainly loooking for tips on how not to be lapped by everyone.
  21. Firstly, Congratulations on the winners on Monday (meeting hts/final&shootout) and congrats to alltitle winners this season. I only managed to race ion the last month and at that 2 times but did enjoy it - hopefully kept out of trouble and everyones way, i know more time needs to be spent over the winter to fully understand what does what when changed with regards setup. Looking forward to racing over the winter and to next season (maybe change the unlucky green body colour to something a bit more lucky)
