Well, first meeting back in UK Dirt for a year or two - happy with taking 3 points. WD Spiro - on heat and final wins. also WD to other race winners - you make it look far too easy. Firstly, apologies to anyone i got in the way of last night, i tried to move over as often as i could to let those evidently faster than myself through (basically everyone else!). In the heats i just tried to find my feet and keep out the way so to come out with a 9th and 10th was really pleasing. The final and i almost avoided Mav across the straight but clipped his front end putting me well onto the infield. Can't really remember the shootout race but guessing everyone was on me in a flash! I did enjoy myself and will certainly be back for more, not sure if i'll venture onto shale next week - lets see how practice goes.

Echo Si comments above, even if i was one of those on the slower pace! My first F2 rfactor meeting and enjoyed it - hope i didn't get in peoples way too much. Hopefully get to do the odd meeting through the season depending on work, may even get practice in for next week and try the shale.

When i initially got rFactor, i'd only got an old serial connection on my wheel. I tried to find a serial-USB adaptor only to be told it wouldnt work with the wheel due to to the speed USB 'runs' at. I'm sure someone more technically minded might be able to give a better explanation or correct me if i'm wrong.

The quickfix worked for me too, thanks Drumbstick. For those still unable to run NIR, which NIR folder did you extract the files in? Inside the Locations folder is the NIR folder. Within the "locations\NIR" folder are the folders "NIR" and "NIRHR" to which the files should not be extracted. Sorry if i sound patronising, i had to double check which NIR folder to extract the files to. Recap - extract to C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations\NIR

rFactor full install, patched to latest version. Same error messages as stated previously XP sp2, tried DX7,8,9 settings. Display settings in-game Low/Off to high/max altered. rFactor_video_settings.zip

Hi, I've been gradually getting more time to practise RFactor but still need a couple of pointers. Would someone be able to suggest what settings i should have set for FFB sidewinder? Hopefully if i can get it sorted and might even join in on a Thursday night a few times. Thanks, Pete

Have booked in for the Barford F2 meet next monday, and tried to download the Barford track from the UK Dirt website, but it stops and states that it contains invalid data. Hence, i have no track to practice with or to race next monday. Any help welcome!
