  1. Well done to Dan again. A terrible night results wise for me but I had the pleasure of watching the best world final I have ever seen from the server and it was a great drive by all of the top guys, Dan having to fend off multiple attacks to take the win. Drive of the night has to go to the one and only Mrs Ward, and then a final win too! Cheers for the meeting as always!
  2. Spun it on the last corner in the escort and got a 15 second penalty other than than it went smoothly but not lighting quick
  3. Well done Reece a great track that I think we should visit every year. To the novices: I know we were all new once and its hard to begin with but I have some advice - get a wheel.
  4. The biggest race of the year is finally upon us the top 24 drivers will battle it out over 25 laps at the fast and furious Hednesford Hills Raceway, for the first time ever the venue will host the world final! But before that there is one final chance for those who didn't make it through the semis in the consolation semi final, where the top four finishers will find themselves at the back of the world final grid. The drivers that raced a semi and did not make the top 10 will make up the main part of the grid, and then the drivers who qualified for a semi and did not race will have to start half a lap behind the leaders. The consolation semi grid is as follows: 488 - GAP 117 - 82 653 - 84 182 - GAP 848 - GAP 474 - 274 GAP - 396 758 - 566 *HALF LAP DOWN* 397 - 167 691 - 711 249 - 394 415 - 641 356 - 103 146 - 122 276 - 511 527 With a lot of unpredictable drivers in the main pack and some quick ones in the second pack it will be interesting to see who manages to steal a qualifying spot at the last opportunity. Then we come to the main race with most of the top drivers making the cut the race could be anyone's THE GRID ROW 1 800 Ben Chambers - Taunton, Somerset - 236 DanSkin - Newcastle-upon-Tyne In pole position Ben chambers is the current national champion, a title he won on the tarmac up at Cowdenbeath in June. Ben has held superstar all year and will surely be among the favourites to take the gold roof if he can avoid the first bend carnage. Outside front row is the current world champion, going for a record breaking 4 in a row DanSkin. Dan has again proved that he is the best driver ever to race F2s by dominating the national points once again and taking no less than 32 race victories so far this year. Dan is the favourite but he is every year so the pressure won't get to him and anyone will do well to beat him. ROW 2 329 Tsjalle - Franeker NL - 238 Kane_M - Leicester Inside second row, said to be the favoured position on any championship grid belongs to Tsjalle in the 329 machine. A fast driver but very hard hitting and he has made enough enemies to have something to worry about when it comes to the first bend at Hednesford. 238 Kane is a driver who is never the fastest but has a talent for getting through the traffic and always getting a good result, which is why he sits at superstar a long way clear of the lower graders in the points. He should manage a good finish in the race. ROW 3 39 LeeK - Faversham, Kent - 184 Jack Ward - Hope Valley LeeK sits 3rd row inside, after winning the European Championship in a dramatic closing laps battle he will be hoping for an equally dramatic conclusion where he can capitalise and snatch the gold roof. Jack ward has had a good year and over the last month he has been making use of his red grade status and scoring good points whilst avoiding the chasing superstars. Both of these drivers are capable of a good finish and both would deserve it too. ROW 4 315 Mike - Baarlo LB, NL - 58 mintom - Accrington Mike has managed to qualify even though he has raced just 5 times this year, showing just how good he is, a former F1 World Champion he knows what it means to taste glory on the biggest stage. Tom is currently the highest blue graded driver on the grid, subject to the September grades of course so a special well done to Tom for that, he is a consistent driver who should get a good finish in this race. ROW 5 455 Kbarker - Grimsby - 380 Liam Powell - Sileby Kye Barker makes the world final and will start row 5 inside alongside Liam Powell, both of these drivers float between red and blue so they could be ones to watch although it has to be said for either of them to win it would be a mssive upset. ROW 6 981 MartinB - Rossendale - 718 MartynR - Derby Row 6 sees two opposites who coincidentally have the same name. MartinB has raced for many years and is an established red grader. MartynR has returned after a break and currently is graded as yellow but he does this for fun so I'm sure he will be pleased to make the world final grid on his return to racing. ROW 7 411 ReeceWinch - Peterborough - 41 Drumbstick Fareham, Hants Row 7 and inside sits the ever improving Reece Winch who is steadily climbing through the grades and looks to be heading for red this month and outside sits the 2010 World Champion Drumbstick, who rarely races now and will be looking to make a charge up through the grid and take a surprise win. ROW 8 267 DannyGrady - Bromsgrove - 246 Stox - Sileby Inside row 8 is a surprise qualifier Danny, who you wouldn't expect to make the biggest race of the year but he managed to avoid trouble in his semi and is rewarded with this grid slot. The second of the Powell brothers is Stox, who heasn't had the year he might have liked but he has still managed to make the world final grid which he should be proud of. ROW 9 212 Pedz - Perth - 237 rickyljames - Sheffield Pedz had a brilliant start to the year but since then he has sipped down the grades and currently sits at blue but he should manage a good finish. Outside row 9 is the Ladies' favourite Ricky James who has done well to qualify and should be proud of himself for doing so. A finish would be a good result and I am sure Ricky will try harder than anyone else in the race. ROW 10 93 Twisty - Preston - 180 Wardieee - Bolton The 10th row of the grid features Twisty in the 93 Machine qualifying for his first ever world final so congratulations to him and last but not least of the qualifiers so far is Wardieee who suffered heavy damage in his semi and did well to come home in 10th. Wardieee will definitely be one to watch as he tries to make up lost ground in the World Final. So make sure you get booked in to secure your place on the world final grid or the consolation semi. BOOKINGS FOR THE MAIN RACE WILL CLOSE AT 7PM SO GRIDS CAN BE SORTED ETC. ANY LATE BOOKINGS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO RACE IN THE REST OF THE MEETING Videos of previous World Finals! 2014 WORLD CHAMPIONS
  5. Really enjoyed tonight, thanks for the meeting!
  6. Just done my run, after three weeks of trying I finally made it to the end and with only one off through the whole 6 stages too, so I'm pretty pleased
  7. Had a terrible run through the Welsh stages, got through stages 3 and 4 without issues and I felt pretty fast. Towards the end of stage five I flew off a cliff and that was that, maybe next week I will finish.
  8. Reserves in order: 758, 283, 544, 17, 267, 142, 599, 429, 363, 566, 189, 188, 8, 505, 503, 132, 897, 550 So the qualifying rounds are complete, the top 48 drivers in the points chart have earned their place for the next step on the road to gold! Skegness Stadium is the venue for this year's world championship semis and the track always produces action packed racing so this big meeting is one not to be missed. First of all well done to all of this years qualifiers! A look at the top of the table sees the usual favourites. DanSkin tops the table and starts pole position for semi final number one, he will start as one of the favourites and will be looking to capitalize and get the best possible position on the grid come September at hednesford. Completing the front row in semi 1 is Kane, is a quick driver but will he have enough pace to beat Dan it will be interesting to see. At the head of semi number two sits Ben Chambers in the 800 machine, another very fast driver and one to watch although his lack of bumperwork can sometimes let him down. Outside front row is Josh Hampson, one of the fastest drivers ever to race the UKDirt F2 stockcars he will be looking to make a good start and pull away at the front for sure. Another look down the list of drivers in semi one throws up some big names and ones to watch; Such as CB, Wardy, Wardie and crowd favourite Ricky James. As well as some drivers who would have liked to do a bit better such as Ryan Simspon and real life BriSCA F2 driver Ashley England Semi 2 looks on paper to be the more explosive with most of the hard hitters lining up near the front of the grid; Including Jake Cameron, MartinB, Tsjalle and Jack Morgan mid pack, all of these drivers will be looking to battle their way through the pack and get the best grid slot for the world final at Hednesford. Other drivers making the semi include Tim, PaulE, Mav, Kye Barker, Mike and the last qualifier, and a surprise qualifier too Fast track. Whilst many of these drivers do not start as pre race favourites every one has an equal chance of making it to the world final. And for the drivers who haven't yet qualified there is still a chance to make the grid as a reserve depending on no shows. Every driver that races and fails to qualify will get one final chance in the consolation semi on world final night at Hednesford So make sure you don't miss this, one of the biggest meetings of the year. Bookings will open after next week's World Cup meeting at Posterholt, with the Semi finals taking place place in two weeks time on Monday the 24th of August at the usual 8.30pm start time, so get booked in and good luck! One Final note, non-qualifiers are invited to race as there is also a normal meeting after the semi finals open to all paid members as per usual
