  1. I don't know what gave you that idea m8, I'm actually a 14 year old girl... Thanks lads. Celebrating with my pipe, slippers and a glass of mild.
  2. Its normal, the oval tracks used in brisca heat don't have pits so qualifying will not work. I'm afraid there is no way around it, as far as i know
  3. I'm on ntl 600k (or whatever that is now) bb and had no problems at all. Raced all 2003 on the 150k (300k as was) bb and that was fine as well. I know people who have horror stories to tell about ntl customer services, and I've had problems at other houses but since moving here they have been excellent.

Agree with Wrighty there - you should be doing a lecture series on BBC2 John.
  5. Dragon gets a large apology from me here. I think I've been watching too much JFK and come up with a conspiracy theory that ain't really there. Sorry. I'm not sure where I was standing to pi**, but the wind was definitely blowning it back into my mouth.
  6. Dragon I'm not a member of admin, and whenever I read a post from yourself it makes me glad I'm not. Whether its ' racer in the god and brian league', 'its not the same anymore now there are rules in brisca legends', 'we need to elect the chairman', 'where is the feedback to our suggestions*3' or 'no time for nz heat on jolt', my perception reading the post is that it is a dig at somone. When you add them all up it looks like a manifesto for radical change. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, youe exceptional work shows you are clearly a perfectionist and expect the same of others around you. My problem is that UK Dirt in my eyes is getting better and better all the time. AndI think we should spend more time celebrating what we have not trying to fast track change. I'm intending to be here in 30 years time running the wednesday afternoon retired old gits league. Don't leave because I've said what I think in response to your posts. I'm no-one. Thats it for me as well.
  7. I think you'd make an excellent chairman Dragon, you are extremely talented and you obviously care a lot about the league and the way it is run. I'm also sure you would be capable of working with other admin members and seeing that decisions taken affect everyone to no-one's disadvantage. Which is why I'm surprised that you consistently take the route you do to get information out. If you made a suggestion for when to put NZ Heat on, don't you think perhaps it would be an idea to put that in your original post? and why Wrighty or admin rejected it. I'm still not clear from your post if this was admins words on the issue or Wrighty saying what he thought when pushed on the matter. I can understand your frustration with the pace of admin, its come up on another thread, but at the moment you seem to me to be trying to corner or embarrass them into action, and I don't see how they deserve that. If you wanted the correct word for 'crappy' perhaps asking Wrighty would have sensible, and polite. As you say he's a jovial kind of guy, he'd have probably released a joint post with you. What I'm trying to say is why not get in the tent with admin and pi** out rather than stand outside the tent pi**ing in.
  8. Did you suggest a specific time or jolt session that NZ heat would be replacing Dragon? Looking at the timetable I think most of the mods that are already there would want to guard their time. Once the season gets into swing your only really talking about Friday (after brisca legends), Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday night is a bit of poison chalice as people are at meetings or out. I know andymek points out Sunday but during the season I know I and many others go in to practice f2 for the monday night meeting. I can't speak for the rods or banger boys but I can't imagine they would terribly impressed with another stock formula taking a session. I haven't raced the NZ Heat mod so perhaps I'm missing a subtle difference but aren't they essentially the same ethos as Brisca Legends? I have to admit that I can't see that we really need another league of any sort whether it is on jolt or not Maybe Friday night after Brisca Legends would be workable, F2s are on jolt 2 but as they have Sunday and Monday it probably wouldn't be greatly missed. I agree that jolt seems to spend a lot of time empty and may benefit from being more flexible, perhaps a booking system, although this is more easily said than done. Of course once you have been elected chairman you could put it on wherever and whenever you wanted... I would hope that you don't hang your admin members out to dry like you have Wrighty here. Regardless of what was said in your chat I can't imagine that he would want to be quoted calling anyone's work crappy
  9. I was going to apologise to Jamie and MC for dragging them into this by mentioning them, but what they have added has cleared some things up I think. Jamie's point about prompt decision making is amply illustrated by this thread. I think MC did a great job as chairman, and I have been defending the system which put him in that position. I'm sure whoever takes over, however and whenever they are appointed, will do just as well.
  10. They are my words mate, and I still think it needs answering... Just been over to RSC and done a search on the word chairman. Jamie G announced he was stepping down as chair on 10/4/03. A new admin team and MC as chair was announced on 10/10/03. Its worth checking because I can't believe we went that long without a chairman either. We had 1 jolt for the 2003 season, MC brought in the suggestion thread as one of his first acts, and under his unelected chairmanship Admin made the decision to get a second jolt server for the 2004 season. That's 2 years of jolt payments without an elected chair.
  11. YAWN... Could someone build a ring for Dragon to throw his hat into? Here's one to occupy you in the meantime - posted on the old forum 29/11/04 I don't recall having this 'democracy' imposed on us when MC became chairman - are you saying he did such a poor job the members should seize control back? Why do you want this change of policy? Come out into the open and stop sniping at admin from the book depository Perhaps we should have a referendum about an election... If we have a referendum/ election who can stand/ vote? jolt payers only, kev149 members, rsc members, uk dirt site members. I've got 2 accounts in each at my house can I have 2 votes?
  12. Thanks gaz - for some reason I thought he was 524. Damn, I thought it was just my short term memory that was knackered!
  13. Looks great, another top sign job as well. Thanks for putting the link up trav, just wasted 3 hours at work looking at the westcountry f2 pics on the site. Can anyone tell me who f2 528 was I remember the car from meetings as a kid but can't get the drivers name.
  14. I know its for charidee and everything but you may as well ask Which is better? 1) rubbish christmas song by talentless gits or 2) the same rubbish christmas song by different talentless gits vote now The only reason to not get a gun and shoot everyone involved with both is that Bob Geldof (and possibly Bono) actually understands and cares passionately about the long term problems of Africa as a continent, and he won't let people or governments forget about it. The rest of them were and are on the good will bandwagon.
