  1. Just seen that LiamB didn't have a choice to make, he is banned for Sheffield Semi! Both 411 & 79 both banned for Sheffield also. Think LiamB would've pick tarmac anyway Lucky Lucky reserves this season!!!
  2. Same for me at Buxton That's the whole row spare If 691 & 236 don't race that's 4 lucky reserves!! Shame for Rev and me as we put so much effort into getting there.
  3. You drive so smoothly Walker!! I would love to be able to have a car that handles like that, must be very pleasurable to drive. I see from the video that Stijneman start pole in his first race at red, Shocker!
  4. Welcome to our world Simpson
  5. Not a good night at all - mainly thanks to 468 - what a guy!!! That's my month of blue done and a grand total of 31 points scored, all in the heats, no final nor GN points - Be nice to be downgraded to yellow but I don't think it will happen. I await DP team to conclude their investigation on whether I rode the wall to take the flag in the B Final, but even if the win was fair and given, I don't think it will cheer me up!! Truly depressed at trying to play fair, put the effort in with practice etc and have stupid incidents take it all away, when I finally get a break. Up to 5th in heat 1 with 5 to go then 468 (whom I had just passed cleanly) starts to follow cars in that's in front of him on each bend after letting 1 & 39 go without touching them! 800 joined in and even when I passed 468 cleanly again, 800 put me wide and back into 468's range! 9th though and 2 points. Next heat top 10 when passed 468 down straight so he turns into me mid straight, and into a tyre. Out of race. heat 3, was just a hard race after Wardieeee had finished with me but too far behind to get anywhere - Lucky that 246 & gang we having a bumper fight allowed me to sneek past on last bend but I was passed myself by 117 & 237! 9th place and another 2 points. B Final sat behind 589, then 454 passed me so waited then made my move. It worked but I was watching my mirrors too much and 589 caught back up, then had a last bend attempt. We'll wait and see if it paid off for him. GN and good old 468 waited till I came alongside then turned into me again mid straight spinning my car into the fence, and bang went my 9th place. Seriously chuffed off!! Rant over - sorry to have wasted five minutes of your life, you can now continue with your lives now, safe in the knowledge that Mav's just an old moaning _______ (Fill in as appropriate!)

Sorry Grasser I don't agree, have you seen the replay?? You hit my left rear corner as I was entering the corner, it was no where near square on - you went in for the hit with extra speed, nothing wrong with that, but you hit me after I had turned - miss timed (or a lunge as I call it ) nothing more.

I'm not quite sure which category drivers put me in, but I honestly believe myself that I am a fair driver but prone to bouts of anger whereby I do daft things! Now if I am considered to be a "Fair" driver then I must be the most unluckiest "Fair" driver around!!! I knew as soon as I saw the MI, that the heats would be difficult as I was paired with 589 in both. Heat 1, 589 was pole so I followed and we got away, however I started making mistakes and 233 caught up. One lunge later I was spinning but TomD straightened me again but momentum was lost. Finished 7th. Heat 2, 589 lines up behind me and the second "Go" was called he was hitting me and barging his way past, putting me immediately in the clutches of the blues. I was then spun and down to 11th. I raced hard catching the tail end who was having a battle of their own. Two laps to go I made a move on the inside when they all went in towards the fence. I came out in front of them and in 7th. Survived the shoves of the next lap and half, then went into the last bend trying to stay straight as possible. When I was over half way round the bend I thought I was safe, so started for the line. BUT oh no! 92 decided to drive at my rear end, clip it to spin me and I record a DNF. What had I done to deserve that move? Replay clearly shows he wasn't under pressure, he just drove for my inside rear corner. Its not that he gained a place either, as he was passed doing it, so really perplexed as to why the incident happened That put me in the consolation, but by now I was ready to call it quits and go do something less meaningful in the house. I got away and drove well catching 68 & 627. Was surprised that 68 didn't fire me in when I passed him, then just sat behind 627. I wanted him to win as a just reward for his efforts in the racing so far, so I stayed behind him. But that just allowed the others to catch up!! However it worked and 627 took the consi and I made it to the final. - Well Done Pete Again I knew that with 589 nearby things wouldn't go smoothly, and again as soon as the go was called, he tagged my rear and swerved me into a tyre!!! That was my race screwed seconds after it began!! Then it was all about staying out of the way, but I was actually making progress. Once again I caught up with the bumpering bunch, went past and was fired in hard by 117 breaking my rear wheel on the fence. Upon reviewing the replay, 92 put us both in with no regard to either of us doing anything to him to deserve it. So for the second week running the leading National Points front runners, whom I had just passed fairly, fired me in the very next bend - The exact thing they complain that others do to them. Now if I am one of those drivers who does it, then fair enough, but I honestly don't believe that I am, I just try to race whoever is around me, often coming off worst through no fault of my own!! So again wrong place wrong time for me. Had I not quit the race due to my car being broke, I may have been tempted to stop 589 winning Grand National was my last race in F2's this season, as it is not enjoyable to race loosing out to things that seem so needless and pointless, especially when its the top drivers who are doing it + 589. I had a bit of revenge on 589 by passing him as he started with the lap handicap, knowing that if he touched me it would be from a lap down! But after that I opened a good lead and was never challenged, so I went out with a win not a whim
  8. The THREE BLUE AMIGOS only scored 9 points between them Proves that a lot of practice isn't the answer!! If we are not going to score the points anyway, maybe if we can't beat 'em (Race 'em fairly), we should join 'em (Race 'em hard!) - What do you think DanW & DBecks???
  9. Not my night despite plenty of practice and being near the pace. Can't legislate for those mucking up in front of me and taking me out, not learnt how to avoid that bit yet but very frustrating. I cannot seem to hold station when I get myself in a good position, but I guess it will come in time. Congrats to Ricky, did what every low grader dreams about, storming the European! Depressed and disappointed, but I think I already knew that NIR is not my track! Back to shale next week thank goodness

    Internet Outage

At home we are with Virgin Media. At work we are with BT Infinity, and they have been reported as having problems nationwide. Its not been good lately but hey ho!
  11. We are experiencing Internet outage in our area today and have been told it could be nationwide also. Our own internet went down several times last night and was off for a period on Monday evening although it did stay connected to race F2's. Therefore I hope to be racing tonight, but if I am not then it will most be likely that I have no internet connection. And if I am racing but suddenly disappear, then again we most likely would have lost the internet. Fingers crossed all is well for tonight!
  12. Was pleasantly surprised that I was on the pace in practice and thought going from yellow I would go well. LCQ was a routine race, but the "Have a go hero's" made no sense when we all qualified bar one! Should have been third but settled with fifth. EURO race I was just hanging on for dear life and it paid off, finally finishing 8th from starting 20th - a definite success! HEATS were straight forward apart from one racing incident in first heat which really wound me up and I drove some of the best laps to get back to 10th. FINAL was going really well, holding my own and enjoying it until a big incident took me out of the race totally. Not sure if it was intentional, or a move gone wrong but will watch the replay again before possibly taking it further. GN got away with Stinjneman and just decided to settle for 2nd unless he went wrong. I knew if I passed him he may then ruin it for us both, so just stayed behind, even not attempting a last bend lunge. Was getting concerned how close Tsajlle was becoming, so I was watching him in my mirrors more than Stijne ahead. A decent meeting, my first F2 meeting in several weeks, and mostly enjoyable apart from the final incident. WD Tsjalle for becoming the Euro Champion, and TomK for winning the final (Hope I didn't put you off in the final laps, but I was desperate to stay on the lead lap and I was proved right as I went from 18th to 13th on the last bend!) Thanks to Admins.
  13. Internet down at the moment hope it will be back up in time for meeting if not apologies for my absence.
  14. Do you want to buy your wheel back PeeWee???
  15. Having seen the replays, I don't know whether to be chuffed or disappointed! I think I would have done well from yellow, but blue was tough especially the all in races, but I have made progress and enjoyed the challenge. Passed TomD in one race Don't get to say that too often Was miffed at the time with Kane for the last bend spin in the GN for 12th, but watching the replay had a good laugh at my "Disney on Ice" impression!!! Well Done Lloydy, did want to follow you in the final like Walker did, but my car was to arsey right from "Go" and I just went backwards. Your getting to be a shale expert now Lloydy, going to make it three on the trot at Kings Lynn???? Well done TomD for points, still cannot understand how he makes so much progress during the race - unbelievable Nice points haul this week Harold
  16. If you insist Ben, I'll keep trying I am away though for the Semis, so you should be ok
  17. Was that only last year! Thought that was a few years ago! That wasn't a deliberate act to take people out tho unlike some! Hopefully, I am a better driver now - if left alone - but I have no urge to attend the Euro at the moment so you are safe for now As I am such a liability to you, I won't race my F2 Semi, and therefore won't be in the F2 WF, and pray you get Buxton F1 Semi, as I won't be racing that either if I am drawn there. If we are both in Sheffield Semi, then maybe I will be ill that night, and therefore not qualify for Consi Semi as I haven't raced the semi, meaning I won't be in the F1 World Final. So I think you will be safe from me in F1 & F2 Championships for the remainder of the season I have achieved my aim for this season - Blue Roof - Took longer than I thought but those who wait etc etc
  18. Tough Night!!! Fast Track I told you it would be your fault!!! Having been convinced that I would do ok in pre-meeting practice, I thought I would give it a go - My first meeting as a blue since 2012! Lined up full of optimism, crossed the line with maximum pessimism! Was up to 4th in Heat 1, then 589 struck, never recovered, out of race when DanW put me and Lloydy in, and we tangled trying to get going again. Race over. Doing ok in my next heat when, 80 piles into a clump of cars behind me, of which I was the front car and end up being tagged and spun into fence. Managed to get Ricky for 10th place in end. Heat 3 had a free run and held onto 3rd, so really chuffed with that Final ended as the GO was called. 589 cut right across me straight into the tyre. I had nowhere to go and the reds then thundered into me. Ended up racing the reds and Superstars and was holding my own but exiting a bend 589 on outside chops into 800 who was in the middle, forcing me who was on the inside into a tyre. Broke suspension Well Done DanW for 4th place! Grand National and that man 589 again tags me whilst recovering from his previous incident, then follows me into a parked car with the help from 82. Race Over. So I now realize how enjoyable racing is when 589 isn't in your grade or your race (I was 3rd when he wasn't racing - coincidence?). Would like to try the European Meeting but honestly don't think it would be worth my time practicing all week just for someone to blow it all away FakeWardy won final but a disastrous Heats and GN (GN at the hands of 589!) - Well Done when it mattered tho! Congrats to LeeK who scored steadily all night - Top driving! Commisserations to DBecks and myself - lowest scoring blues
  19. The Three Amigos!!!! More practice required now guys!!!
  20. Its not a criticism Stumpy, just an observation based on the points I scored last night, compared to others in my grade. My aim is to finish in the top ten in any race I take part in. Therefore to me, its irrelevant what race it is, I am joining in to enjoy the racing and do the best I can. I make no special effort, like putting on brand new tyres for the final, Its just another race to enjoy and take part in. I don't pump myself up just because it a final, yet drivers seem more annoyed if things go wrong in a final than a heat, is this because there are more points on offer, as points are some drivers priority? Maybe they do believe the final is everything, especially those that are chasing the points titles. 50 points is a lot to catch up. However, last night I had one good race out of five and I ended up with 40 points for it, just because it was the final. My good race could have easily been the GN or Heat 3. DanW had three good races and one bad one and ended up with almost half the points I did. I scored more points in one race than DanW did winning three heats. This to me also gives a false impression of my capabilities if you look at the national points - I am not a 35 point a meeting driver, I have just been fortunate in finals!
  21. My heat results were better than expected (apart from my third heat!) as I couldn't settle on a setup that was consistent enough to be able to do competitive lap times. So having scraped into the A Final, and starting pole yellow I feared the worst. Starting pole yellow meant I was the worst yellow driver on the grid from the heats. I took a gamble and loaded a totally different setup, changed all four corners and a gear ratio and went onto track untested. As with so many pole yellow drivers, I was able to get in front and avoid the haggling behind. The setup seemed to be working. Was happy to sit behind HGR all the way to the flag if necessary, but he started making mistakes and slowing us up. I went past and couldn't believe I was leading another final, could this be the one? Two laps later Lloydy caught up and I dropped to second. Race then nearly ended as Shay recovered from a spin right in front of us and we went all over the place. After recovering, still in second, TomD loomed large in my mirrors and by now my back end was starting to come out further. Fearing I would get spun, I let Tom go and followed but could see Liam in my mirror. I started to panic and the last lap was driven the worst by me, but I managed to cross the line in 3rd. Happy with that but disappointed it was just the one race not the whole evening and the GN saw me go backwards after pole man DBecks got away. The points system seems odd to me that DanW can win 3 races, go into the final as top scorer, yet me least point scorer heading into the final, then manages to finish the final on the podium, and after adding GN results I am then top point scorer in the yellow grade by just under double the next yellow grade driver! It seems a lot of emphasis on one race in the evening? No wonder the drivers growl after this race when it goes wrong for them Well Done Lloydy and Tom
  22. Looking at the results and points for the Whites & Yellows, it seems not a lot went right for them! Was tempted to race but tarmac, tight and no room for error, so No! - Seems to have been the right choice
  23. You can check the Grand Nationals fuel as I ran out for that race Nice to do well for a change, shame about the GN but altogether not a bad evening WD Tom & Lloydy - Both filled my mirrors every race - Thanks to Dan & Stumpy.
