UKDirt F1 2013 Rule Changes Hi folks! For 2013 we have masterminded some rule changes, and had a general tidy up of the rules page itself. I would ask everybody who plans to race this season to read and follow the rules - it will take 10 minutes of your time and should be nice and clear. One of the big changes, in my opinion, is an amendment to the meeting point scoring system... After moving to a three heat format for 2012, I was left with the impression that a final win had been devalued (as it became possible to score nearly as many points with good heat performances). As a result, and after much negotiation we have tweaked the point scoring in meeting finals. There are also some other smaller tweaks to the point scoring system to reflect the number of cars racing, and the relative difficulty/merit of certain races. This is a big change for the league, and has not been taken lightly. As discussed in the fixtures post, there have been some changes to championship formats and again a lot of this is clarified in the rules. There are no major changes in this area. The disciplinary section has also seen a tidy up, and I will reiterate my simple mantra, “if you don’t do anything wrong, then you won’t get in trouble”! The last significant change for anybody getting ready for the 2013 season is around skins and skin painting. Specifically that roof grades should be obvious, and numbers should be easily visible from both sides of the car (and rear if a rollcage mounted number board is available). Honestly, stuff like this should go without saying, but it is now listed as well. So… Please read and follow the rules the rules, and please let me know if something is not clear or erroneous. UKDirt F1 2013 Season Prequel Meeting (BOOKINGS) Arena Essex - 20:30 Thursday 21 February 2013 Thanks to Tyler Wilkin for the neat poster! This meeting will be run using real-life skins and will not score points for the normal season. This meeting is for paid members only. Please book in below stating your UKDirt F1 racing number and grade (if you have not raced with us before then please state your highest grade on any other leagues for rFactor F1/F2). Please also indicate the driver which you would like to use… note of course that this is a tarmac track so you are limited to drivers with tarmac cars in game. We are pleased to let you all know that Crewesader, Jack and Spike are now members of the F1 Admin team. There was quite a reassuring response, in particular from some of our newer members. In many cases I would hope we can re-assess the situation in a few months time, when we know a little more about some of you guys. Thanks to everyone who took the time to drop me a message.

Hi folks! It’s nearly race time all over again, I hope everyone has recharged over the close season (or at least had fun crashing a different variety of cars for a few months). The winter SuperStox and NZ series have seen wins for a variety of UKDirt old hands, while the Grasstrack series has drawn in a new and fresh crowd (hopefully some of which will join us for the F1s this season). The fixtures this season are nothing unusual - where possible we have replicated real life fixtures, while retaining traditional UKDirt series like the Tarmac Masters and Whites & Yellows Championship. Our World Final falls on the 26 September around the Norfolk Arena at Kings Lynn, so clear that date in your calendars! We have made revisions to some of the championship formats for this season, please note... Tarmac Masters and World of Shale qualification will be based on your best 10 meeting scores on tarmac or shale respectively (the multiplication system still applies). The Shootout Championship will be contested by the top 8 in the national points for the first 4 rounds. The bottom 4 of these will drop out of the series after 4 rounds. Please see the UKDirt website shortly for full confirmation of championship formats (and all other rule amendments).
