New stripe added to the lid if it's not too late... danskin236_f2_update.zip

Because the monkey typing things in for the website did it wrong... Should be sorted now. If anyone else is paying particular attention I think that one of the tarmac masters rounds points has got lost somewhere between the results and the website (my fault), I will check that out in the next few days. Thanks for the meeting Mike. Slickly run and some decent racing. Not my favourite track at all, and a pretty slow start to the for all of us Shootout points-wise really... but it was some excellent racing!

It should work fine without the shifter... I do use the gearstick and extra buttons on the shifter (brake bias, display options, pit button, etc), but imagine I could easily get by without it.

UKDirt F1 Stockcars Shootout 2012 After the Lelystad 23 August meeting the top six drivers in the national points have qualified for the UKDirt F1 Shootout. Those drivers are - DanSkin #236, TomD #112, Mike #1, Dode #151, Green #115 and Dodge #560. The Shootout is comprised of 8 meetings during which these drivers will all race from the superstar grade and any points that they score (as per normal scoring) will be counted towards their shootout totals (all drivers start the Shootout with zero points). Meeting finals for these drivers will be gridded in Shootout points order (highest at back). The final round of the Shootout will be double points (for the Shootout only, not national points). The driver who wins the UKDirt F1 Shootout 2012 is entitled to the silver stripes. A few other points to note: Drivers who are not currently graded superstar (Dodge #560 and Green #115) will continue to race from the red grade in non-Shootout meetings. Drivers who are currently graded superstar, but are not in the Shootout (e.g. Aub #188) will race from the red grade in Shootout meetings. Tied points at the end of the Shootout will be determined by best individual meeting score(s). The UKDirt F1 National Points Champion 2012 is still entitled to the full silver roof. Thanks, and good luck!

I was surprised by how good the racing was (or certainly what I saw happening around me on track). I really enjoyed the feel of the track and the balancing of the car out of bends knowing that you couldn't just slam the barrier on exit and ride it to the next corner. There was the odd incident (as always), and the track is what I would call a "novelty" track with the massive risk that someone can choose to end your race with a swipe or a decent poke deep into the corner. Personally I tried to leave room all night (that speed bump and the hidden grass launchpad terrified me!), and it often ended up being to my own detriment... but that is how I would like to be raced so with the vast majority of drivers it is how I will try to race. The final seems to be the biggest dollop of luck I can remember receiving in a long time (and I am regularly reminded of how lucky I can be at times), after a long and close chase to the end James even decided that a last bender wasn't on the cards! Thanks for the meeting FT, excellent job.

Stumpy, as has already been said it is a pleasure racing against you again and I really do hope this is not the end (see me, Mav or Spike for some inspiration as to what "retirement" actually means on UKDirt... hehe). But, from a few cars behind you in the final it is very obvious what happened and why you're frustrated... and it did lead to the quick call to remove that driver (although that does nothing to recover your race). Additionally, yes I expect some Disciplinary Points to be issued... except this time it will result in a ban. I had a quick look through our disciplinary thread - so far this season there have been 24 disciplinary actions against drivers from the 24 meetings so far that investigation has been completed for. And that doesn't include any warnings, or words of advice issued to drivers where we felt disciplinary points would be a step too far (and it also of course does not include the complaints that needed looking at, but in the end lead to nothing). Arguably there could have been more actions if every single incident that takes place was reviewed, but I think/hope we are striking a good balance (dealing with complaints as received and reviewing stand out incidents observed by admin over the course of a meeting). The system we have in place allows people some room to make a mistake or have a busy meeting without necessarily getting themselves banned straight off. But those striving to make a big impact will achieve big results (i.e. a decent ban)... with repeated problems resulting in larger and larger punishments. For what its worth I wholeheartedly disagree with Mike's comments in an earlier thread about the racing being the worst ever, but I appreciate everyone's opinion can change on a meeting by meeting basis depending on who shafted who and how badly! I do however agree with sentiments elsewhere on the forum that some drivers fundamentally lack respect for others on track (using tactics fully inside the rules, but amounting to poor racing etiquette)... in that respect "as you sow so shall you reap". All I can do is repeat my words from between the heats and final last night really. Take a deep breath, maybe even a week or two off if you feel so strongly, but don't let "them" win please.

Please see this post: http://www.ukdirtforum.com/index.php?showt...mp;#entry226923 Unfortunately the updated Sexbierum is yet to be released, but we will be using this same version again - you can see instructions for how to install it, etc. IF YOU RACED AT THE START OF THE SEASON MEETING - THIS IS THE SAME TRACK VERSION, SO NO ACTION IS REQUIRED... OTHERWISE... READ ON... I WOULD RECOMMEND CHECKING BEFORE 8.30PM ON THURSDAY THAT YOU HAVE THE CORRECT TRACK.

Well done hoggy, a dominant evening! We had the coin toss before the meeting, which TomD lost... Mike chose the inside, so the grid for the World Final lines up as follows: 1 112 115 236 560 249 98 184 39 291 600 137 527 151 277 391 48 41 305 238 lc1 lc2 lc3 lc4

He won't be classed as scoring no points, it's just the way for me to pick them out that involves least effort. He will get a messer strike in this instance as I had to waste my time rearranging heats (4 times in total, culminating in giving up and drawing new heats based on a headcount in chat). We have the messer system for a reason, repeatedly mess about the RMs and get a ban, it's simple, I've been fairly lenient this season as it hasn't impacted heat grids/skewed race amounts... but in the last month or so it has got out of hand with a few members. Running a meeting the way I had to last night is not something I want to do, nor do I want to be asking RMs to cater for no shows/late cancels every week. Hence the action is taken. Of course it's helpful when a driver can let me know if they cannot race / will not race / will be leaving the meeting, and I will always be thankful for that.

StoxSigns (Madmatt) Accumulated messer strikes - 1 week ban all mods. He will be able to race again 11 August. Combes Accumulated messer strikes - 1 week ban all mods. He will able to race again 11 August.
