  1. My Dad has a 550w sitting in his house, i will stick that in the machine for the time being, my Antec will do as a spare. Enermax are still awesome PSU's Pete.
  2. You also have to remember though, some psu's quote 650w, when in reality they will probably only give out about 450-500w. At least with the antec you are guranteed the full 350w. I am definitely going to upgrade it though, my system needs a bit more power for its spec, but rFactor is an extremely demanding game.
  3. If its like the other mods, i had to extract all the files separately. I have to race all cars from the cockpit when i am using a wheel. Getting rFactor locking up just now and then getting a message from my graphics card saying it wasn't receiving enough power. Probably right as i have pretty much everything on max. I am on an Antec 350w which is an extremely good psu, even though its only 350. I will just upgrade it though to something slightly bigger.
  4. Thought it was Banana to Banana You not mean peer2peer Have u been throught your processes? typing every single one in google and checking that way? I thought it was "through" your processes?
  5. i didnae think you'd get serverd beer yet alan , ive a couple of strips o velcro for the side burns maybe put a few years on ye Eh, at the cowdie bar the age limit is like 13, so im fine
  6. Aye hutch, i invite you to racing and your already bumpin me ahah! See you all there.
  7. Yep, cheers mate. Tryed to join online servers before but it kicked you from them for being in the wrong car etc.
  8. Where is the best place to get a game of rFactor online? I want to race online!
  9. Don't you goto cowdie every week?
  10. Anyone at Newtongrange when my cousin (Stephen Henderson Ministock#46) got put under the ropes at the pit bend and the top rope sliced the first half of the roof right up the way narrowly missing his head. Think it was around 1983. I was even born, i have only seen the videos. Either way they hammered it back down in the pits with a sledgehammer and he won the final, fencing the guy in the process.
  11. People always assumie its programs. My first port of call would be making sure nothing that hogs memory is open. I would also make sure the machine is virus free. Who is your internet provider? In this day and age most pc's can run msn and various other things in the background and heat will still play fine. Still without the pc specs just make the assumption that the pc isn't top of the range. MSN only becomes a hassel when about 35 people add you into a multiple conversation, that will lag your machine stupidly.
  12. No, I think the F2 boys refer to the hitting as being ''over the top''. There is a difference between nudging some wide in the corner and being jacked full chat ending the person in front's race. Just a question, have you ever raced Uk Dirt? i must admit i dont think i would race f2's properly mainly due to not wanting to ruin some ones meeting with me being to heavy handed with the front bumper as i have been told in a few praccy sesions i have done in jolt, pity cause i would like to do them but feel its best not too,one thing i would say is though plenty of peeps were kind enough to help setting the car up though so thanks for that Everyone does people in F2's, no one is asking you not to use the bumper, dont be stupid with comments like that. You used the bumper plenty LSF. who was that too me or lsf? if that was to me how was i being stupid?? comments like that defo make me not want to race f2's Sigh, considering LSF's name was mentioned, do you think it was for you? Getting a bit frustrating, were not asking everyone to act like little girls and pussy foot around each other, were asking them to be sensible when it comes to putting the bumper in, rather than a steam train follow in first corner when a tap wide would suffice. Theres times when the harder hit is needed, last laps and other times. What were saying is most people should know when it should be a hard hit or a tap wide. As previously stated by Ranny, its the lap down follow ins that are getting to people more than anything. I was followed in from 2 lap down in this years world final by the only yellow who made the world final grid, costing me a place in the process.

  14. Just to let you see this from my perspective. Last year i would make a setup, it would go half decent and i would do a decent time. I would practice a bit, leave it and do quite well in meetings, keeping up with everyone. This year, i have spent a little more time offline on my own, making adjustments to setups to see what differences changing things makes. This is how i learnt to set the car up a bit better. I have in no means mastered setting a car up but i am a lot better now than i was last year. Practicing offline is the best thing you can do, i wouldnt suggest making a setup online as its totally different, get a setup goin offline on your own and try and be as consistent as possible with it. I was a white roof when i joined last season, just takes perseverence and practice to get the car handling right. Another tip, make friends not enemies. Too many people in the F2's make themself far too many enemies. Its better to get to know the top guys and learn from them. If you ever have a question about a setup in chat most will give you straight answer because if you go better then you have less chance of taking us out while your on a tank slapper down the straight. Bottom line though, just stick in, keep practicing offline and it will work for you. Races are only lost on the first corner, not won.
  15. No it's not, its dynamic, therefore changes at the will of your ISP. When you run a server like jolt you pay for a static IP, hence no change.
  16. Yep mines is used for holding the wire for my mouse, to stop it falling off the desk.
  17. Do you sit on the toilet to race or is your PC under the stairs? It sure looks like a small room to me. It's the corner of my front room, i sit on an old scabby chair to race.
  18. Download the rFactor demo a few weeks ago. First thoughts was the engine was excellent, great handling and so much potential. The let down at first was i was too lazy to get my wheel out the cupboard. Finally bit the bullet today and what can i say. Gobsmacked, absolutely superb response to the wheel, so good i just bought the game. The good old trusty MS Sidewinder FF wheel came through on this game and i can't wait until we get the Stock Cars on this. Anyway i thought i would use this thread as a "post your setup sort of thread", so heres mine.
  19. As previously stated, you get what you pay for. TalkTalk are the WORST ISP going, and i wouldn't touch them with a 50ft barge pole, steer well clear.
