  1. Was he ok.. ??
  2. You don't need to turn it off when you go racing? I use AVG Free and i use Norton Personal Firewall.
  3. Anyone see the resemblance:
  4. My Dad is on Wanadoo and it has a download limit he frequently exceeds by upto 20GB and it has never been cut off. You won't use much in the way of GB gaming. Its hard to break it down and give you a figure but you wouldn't exceed it. If the people who are on ADSL want me to, i will research them a bit for you, i have been involved in serious gaming for a good 6 years and i have a lot of mates who play games religiously. A few of them are on ADSL and im sure i could see what they say.
  5. I wish it was a help desk i worked at mate, im just a SLAVE for AOL technical support. Best adsl provider is hard to say. I would recommend Wannadoo and BT. One thing i will say about providers is, you only get what you pay for. If it seems to good to be true, like sky and talktalk, then it is. I pay £45 a month for a 10mb connection, because i would crack up with a crap connection.
  6. it is routers mikey they are f**king gay i can get in server but cant host like i used to be able to and when sumbody goes on the house fone it loses connection for about 30 secs but it is quick for downloading stuff If it loses connection when someone uses house phone then its not setup right or the circuit in your house is setup wrong for the phones. As before "port forwarding" for hosting games...
  7. Google "port forwarding". Routers are hardware firewalls and they block most applications unless you forward the relevant ports.
  8. God damn this was posted quick, cheers boys.
  9. I am interested in joining season 2 if spaces are available.
  10. Hmm i usually find disconnections are either viruses/spyware on the machine, or a fault on the line. To get a line test you will need to go through to Level 2 support and have a One Shot Check done on the line. You can try pretend you phoned before and just say you need an escalation to Level 2 as you have previously called. Otherwise you can just go through some checks and then they will escalate it. You will need to be plugged into the master socket to have that done.
  11. Cheers, appreciate comments.
  12. Your diggin that hole deeper
  13. Not on our network its not, 2 filters is pretty much a nono, if it isn't strictly 1 filter per telephone socket we will not support it. I understand why 2 filters would work but thats just the way they work it.
  14. If someone phoned me 2 filters inline i would laugh at them Thats worse than no sockets but still works at times. Be safe rather than sorry watto, just keep it unplugged while racing, it affects your ADSL even with filters at times but shouldn't.
  15. Sky+ does not effect a cable connection like NTL, however if you have SKY+ unfiltered on an AOL ADSL connection it will cause all sorts of problems.
  16. You've clearly not been round the internet long enough.
  17. I work for AOL tech support mate. What Voyager modem is it?
  18. Thats the most sensible thing you've said on here coming from you erik ???????????? well said sash and tombo Had to quote this as its classic. Im pretty sure theres enough mature people on here to tell the difference between being a paedo and a stab at humour, get over it. Although Massage was THE WORST TYPO EVER. (Had to be capitals for proper emphasis on how bad the typo was).
  19. Thanks to MoR for the permission to render, and to Sparky for these 2 renders. Car may be subject to slight change but as it stands, this is the final look of the car. Tar car is to be started asap.

    Warp??

Your connection is good but ping is high for how far from the server you are. It could be the route your connection takes. Click on start, then run then type "cmd" and bring up a command prompt. Type "cd desktop", then type "tracert dfi.defianceuo.com >> trace.txt" This will put the text file on your desktop, copy and paste the results here and ill see what i can see from them. Also repeat all the steps but this time type "netstat >> netstat.txt" and paste results on here aswell.
  21. If you don't install the mobo drivers your pc will be like taken the turbo of a turbo diesel engine, it runs like a bag of nails. Since a mobo is integral to a pc, so are the drivers.
  22. These things are definitely possible and shouldn't be difficult to setup, should only be a small script.
  23. SSC World should be good, sadly working this weekend or would have made the trip.
  24. http://www.paperboy.nl/index.cfm?PID=0E7DA...2121D8AAA1F81EB
  25. Thats pretty much spot on but sometimes no matter what you do you still lose roughly a few gig. It is used for virtual memory and other things. There will be ways to use a whole driver and every little bit of space but its not always advisable. My 120gb shows as 111gb.
