Fantastic gesture lads!!! I'm Sure Debbie , Davy and all the family will be very gratefrul for extremely kind donations!! GOOD ON YA'S !!! In relation to who all is coming up Samson, aint sure exactly but i'd imagine we'd get 499,402,425,382,2 , hopefully more plus some Irish lads as well as for the 2's, cant honestly see many visitors coming up at all unfortunately what with the likes of coventry on the Saturday and sheffield W/Q on the Sunday With a bit of luck we'll get a far healthier turnout for the august weekend though!!

Apologies firstly if this question has been asked previously!! I recently updated my MSN Messenger to version 7,( not a great deal different from previous versions that I can see) The problem I'm encountering is that, when someone on MSN tries to send me a file it is blocked and the message "This file has been blocked because it is potentially unsafe" It seems to be .jpegs that wont come through as mp3s seem fine I can send files ok to anyone back I initially thought it was because the person(s) sending me the files werent on Version 7 but folk on 7 sent me files with the same result!! jpegs MP3s During the course of me writing this out, Ballbreaker was good enough to help me out and sent files in various guises AN MP3 sends ok as I said and a jpeg will only come through ok if its zipped up, Can anyone tell me if thats how Messenger 7 operates now as it seems a bit of a nightmare if folk have to zip up everything they have to send me? Any help gratefully received!! Andymek.

I'd image because there aint a load of English actually intending coming up for that particular weekend Sparky? Personally I think the August weekend will attract a healthier grid of visitors as its the Scottish Championship on the Saturday and the Ben Fund on the Sunday. I've no doubt last nights meeting was "Crap" to our UKDirt visitor from south of the border, given the fact that the 2 prior meetings he attended was Brum and the Hednesford W/Q. I'd also imagine Racewall would have decent enough meetings "if" the same cars turned up there as turned up @ Brum and Hendo, but with us being located so far away it kinda looks like we'll have "crap" meetings more aften than not.(Didnt think it was all that bad myself, but pffft! what would I know)

Nice one Pete!! As Nightowl says you certainly didnt hang about!! Youre right in sayin it didnt last long though!

yeah, PBP managed to capture the follow-in a cracker!! A decent enough meeting I thought last night with an equally good turnout of cars. not so much "unusual Tin" as such last night as perhaps the drivers realising the Racewall is a quick track opted for the trusted Grannies and Jags etc which seem to be more suited as a pose to a DS Limo or a yank for instance. One of the best follow-ins Ive seen, and I must admit, initially when I saw the aftermath of the incident I did think to myself the lad was in trouble but by the time I'd gotten over to the car he was climbing out and whooping with delight at being part of such a hard hit!! After he'd came back down to earth as such, I think he realised just how lucky a lad he really was when he went back to the car to survey the damage!! Spoke to a few of the lads racin during the course of the meeting, a all were impressed with the track,Maverick especially enjoyed himself and said he'd come back and Andy Davies enjoys the place for obvious reasons and reckons the atmosphere of the place is hard to beat, with the punters giving them a good response on their colourful parade lap!! 50+ cars in a big banger race is obviously gonna cause problems and this was indeed the case with the track becoming well and trully blocked on turn 4 and taking some time to clear, but overall i think the meeting ran well. SSC were up again on numbers with 23 racin last night, and they provided a crackin "support" formula to the bangers with some hard knocks being taken last night with 650 in particular suffering heavy damage after he ran over the bootlid of the 05 Hire Car and slid straight on into the wall on turn 1 resulting in him being a bit winded and suffering enough damage to see him retire from the remainder of the meeting Great to see 17 Kenny Purdie back out again and he went as if he hadnt been away!!, Also the return of 71 Gordon Alexander in a nice lookin 2 Door Sierra bodied car and 490 jammy Jarman in the ex-Williamson motor!! Here's hoping the "tide " has turned in respect of SSC numbers now as with 22 locals racin last night and a few others missing who have raced previous, along with the impending new cars on the way, we can only hope that numbers racing every week now is on the increase. Ive attatched a picture of the Granny estate after its massive follow-in, have a look and see where the water tank ended up!! andymek.

Whatever you do Willie, dont light all yer candles on the cake as the Fife Fire and Rescue Service are down on resourses at the present moment!! HOPE YA HAD A GOOD DAY!!!
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
-
How does that work then BB? Is it a case of anyone who wishes to race the car pay a set fee above the hire charge to cover any repairs? And if the hirer doesnt choose to pay the said fee, then are they then liable for the whole cost of any repair?

Great to see ya back at it again Kevin!! T'was a decent enough meeting again tonight I thought, with 607 having his first meeting of the new season tonight in the 'loons but he didnt have too good a night however, when he blew a diff on the warm up lap of heat 1 and retired from the meeting after damaging a gearbox in heat 2.Car was looking the bizz with a fresh set of panels and some nice signwork Heat wins tonight for 241 and 501 takin the other heat and yet another final!! Also a first meet of the season for 36 who too had a neat, newly re-panelled car. 689 livened things up again in heat 2 when he nailed the leading car of 501 from a lap down!! Mr Moodie was the man to beat again tonight in the 2s, taking 2 heats and the Final, and returning a decent 5th in the GN.281 took the other heat with George Mac jnr takin the GN. Here's hoping for more loons again next week!!

Certainly was hard to forget it!!! What ever happened to the car then Chops? Wasn't the reg. used for the bus? I seem to recall it was sitting along the coast at Alan Stirlings place a few years back? What car was the Bombay taxi originally then? You mentioned it was Gordons chevette, was that one of the 3 or 4 cars that were all built at the same time and were on view at the show at Livingston From what I recall there were 3 or so cars in various stages of construction on show and were getting displayed as something along the lines of "Scot-Stocks" That correct? Would be great if you had more pics from that era we could look back at again!! P.S, A few old pics on my site(link at bottom of thread)ÂÂÂ
