Wish I'd looked into that. I was flying from Luton, but getting from Ipswich to there is just non stop roadworks. (M25 etc). I'll know next time. P.S. Yes David...I'm still alive!

Just back after wachng my firs Ipswich Speedweekend. Boy it was hot! Came home very sunburnt. Ipswich certainly is a great rod track. The 2L rods were great on Saturday night. Possibly the best race of the weekend was their National Championship. As for the big race....well I thought big 'doughnut' deserved it for keeping his cool in the last part of the race.....BUT, I do think he put the squeeze on 41 on the back straight. He didn't need to do it. It would have taken a miracle for Carl to make the pass on the outside within one lap so I guess the decision was the right one. First time I've seen the 1300 Stock Cars and I thought they were great. Certainly thought they were a good option for Cowdie...until I saw the Spedeworth 2L saloons. That is the way forward. Superb entertainment. Think the National Saloons days are numbered. Thought the classic rods, saloons and thora thingies were great entertainment as well. All in all a really good weekend, although flying home to Fife actually took longer than if I'd driven home from Ipswich. Away to look out the calamine lotion.......

Now, I'm wondering how you get the back up chat and also, is this the right screen I have for chat (attatched)? Do I just cancel that mIRC favourites box? Dunno about the problem with valve seats but I know Soaps has a problem with a bent Kirkey seat! Glad you're ok Soaps. Shame about Danny. Deserved the title for the way he drove all weekend. Next time.

As I was reliably informed by a GMP scrutineer (Hi Andy ) Robin's bumper is actually six inches within the rules, so I think it's definitely the rules for front and back bumper heights that need looked at. Surely they should be much the same height. Hope the head isn't too bad Soaps.

Couldn't agree more Andy, and if the Moodie team were to say, "Right, sod this, we don't need this s**t" and go and play somewhere else, we'd all be standing there on a Saturday night saying..."Aye the racin's jist no the same withoot Gordon to cheer/boo/love/hate" etc Anyway, aside from that, thought the racin was no too bad over the weekend. Seen better, seen worse. Highlight for me was in the 'loon final at the 'wall when Darby took a last bend lunge and stole second from Alexander. You could almost hear Gogs saying..."Where the **** did he come from!"
