Tragic. Thoughts are definitely with families and friends of what seemed to be a very popular driver.

Lol @ Chops. Here's my next conquest, though she doesn't know it yet! As soon she gets back from Fiji, I'll convince Jayne Middlemiss that I'm better than any of they prats out there with her!

Happy Birthday BB. All the very best.

Website is great. I've stuck it in my favourites. Worse thing about these kind of sites is the updates seem to get bigger and bigger gaps in between. Hope yours is regular as the ones there so far are quite humorous Well done! Good luck for the rest of the season. P.S. Didn't see Cowdie in your fixtures. I'm sure Tugs wouldn't say no to the chance for some nice warm Cowdenbeath weather that she's bound to be missing!

Car looks well smart Phil. Fascinating photo diary too. Lots and lots of hours spent in that garage I guess!

Can see exactly where you're coming from Mav. For the first, and probably only time I had the cash to buy some decent kit this year and give the tooz a real go, but when you sit down and think about all the ins and outs, it just wasn't worth the risk. There were a good few bad injuries last year and if I was unlucky enough to get a dull one, I don't get paid for being off sick, so then you're worrying about mortgage etc In the end, I decided to plough the money into a better house and a better road car and I'm happy with that decision. At least I can say I've been out there, albeit tootling round the outside. You've done it as well Mav and can always say you've given it a go. I was thinking of having a go in the hire car at racewall but Chewy has thoroughly put that idea out my head!

Lol @ Ham and Scrappie. Reckon Chris should have been sitting on the roof of the hire car as it was about the only panel that didn't get a pumelling from the rest of the pack. I'm sure the cat scan will prove there's nothing there... Hope all goes well. Turns one and two have never been lucky for you Chris! Worse bit about the processions...I mean racing, was the huge delays in the races as GMP tried to fill the time with only nine races on the card. e.g. In one of the F2 heats Lee McGill's car expired and he quite sensibly parked it at a safe place just past the pit gate. Five laps later they decide the race is running a bit smooth so call for a yellow. Big surprise to see quiet man Neil McLaughlin teach James Strath a lesson by taking him for an inspection of half the racewall. Even way up on the terraces you could hear the laughing coming from Biff and Stevie Honeyman!

Reckon if they're getting those sorts of numbers, he'd be a fool to drop them, and he'd have an army of angry drivers banging on his door! Hope you get to race.

You didn't hang about Pete!!! Nice one.

Well done Magpye.  Your enthusiasm oozes out of your description there! Glad you enjoyed it. Watch for the sore bits tomorrow!! ÂÂÂ

Aye, you certainly don't see much saloons like that these days! Nice to hear the story of the Chevettes, though you can't help thinking it's sad the drivers are no longer with us...present company excepted Chops!

Ah...memories. Good pics Gordon. Have to include one of the 'loon that had the old body on it. Nice looking motor that was.

This happened a few times with my Norton 2004. The reply I got from Symantec was that this itself is a virus, but nine times out of ten if you reboot, it solves the problem. Hope you're not the one out of ten.

LMAO! The kind of clip you never get bored watching. The more I watch it though, the more I wonder why the numpties didn't simply drive forward.

Car certainly looks the biz m8. Good luck for the season.

Think Lee McGill will get minus points after Sat night at the racewall Popped his engine on turn three and dropped his sump contents on a patch of water that had been sitting there. Result was ALL bar one car piled in and hit the wall, including Bryan Forrest who tipped on his side and was then hit by Keith Brown, resulting in the top of his seat being hit by Keith's bumper. A lot of very bent motors towed off the track, many needing a tandem tow. A very sheepish Lee looked on. Only joking Lee, you weren't to know, despite the engine rattling like a stone in a steel drum waiting to come on track!

Quite an impressive site for race stats. Hope it's updated every week.

Took me ages to get my high score. Doubt yours will be beaten.....but you never know!

Here's the old penquin game with a 'messy' difference. My high score is 1195. Get it here

Absolute Quality Deserved their dinner for free for the trouble they went to.

Thx lads Surely with this lot, the viruses and adware will find someone else to pick on!

Thanks Phil. I've just d/loaded it and had a bit play about on Heat. One question...are you not constantly thrown back to desktop when it asks do you want to allow/block this that and the next thing? It remembers to allow heat, but it's always asking about others. Kevin..on Sunday there, I tried leaving Norton switched on, but, as expected I couldn't get into server, so had to disable the firewall, though everything else was left on. Personally, I think the viruses and adware bugs form an orderly queue outside my door at 9pm every Sunday!

Raced in BWS for the first time since formatting. Disabled firewall just before racing and a couple of pop ups appeared saying Norton had detected and deleted intrusion attempts, but the racing went fine. Afterward, couldn't get on the net...Spybot detected a whole load of sh*t and tried to get rid of them but got kicked out whilst trying to delete them, by the old faithful..'This 'puter will shutdown in 59, 58, 57' etc. Did a System restore to the day before and a Norton scan which detected a load of spyware cr*p that Spybot or Ad-Aware doesn't detect. Getting relly fed up with this now. If I can't sort it out, then unfortunately it'll be me against the AI cars from now on, which is a pity as I've been a supporter of BWS since the start. Any help GREATLY appreciated.

New cars...New season...New year...
NightOwl replied to Badura_Racing258's topic in Real Life Racing
I couldn't stand him, and was always shouting for Strath (or anybody else) to fire him, but I hope he gets back soon as at least it was great entertainment, which is greatly lacking in the 'loons just now. -
I've recently had to do a format of my 'puter as I couldn't get rid of a nasty virus that was disabling my Norton anti-virus. For a few weeks, everytime I switched off my firewall to race in the BWS I was getting bombarded with Norton pop-ups telling me there were Trojans, intrusion attempts...you name it, it was coming in. I was a bit concerned, to say the least as the last time I raced it made me warpy, but I was also concious that I was at the risk of spreading my virus's to others. Now that my 'puters all better after the format, updates installed etc., is there anything I can do to prevent the same happening again? It really was as though the viruses were queing up, waiting for me to switch the firewall off! Thanks
