BRING ON THE CONSI SEMI!!! Gonna do it Dribble style Nae luck in the Semi...in the wrong place at the wrong time and got wiped oot during someone else's battle That's stock car racing tho, was hoping for the traditional Skeggy pile-up but there weren't enough cars to allow me to sneak a top 10 finish. Final was a bit mental tho, for once my luck held for a top 10 finish...and dirty Dan did the business in the GN, showing me how to get back into the pits without opening the gate

Skeet #31 (Red) please.

What do you think I had booked in for???

When do I get my password for the secret Teamspeak server???

Brilliant racing on Thursday lads...luck deffo plays a major part in getting results at this track as I'm sure the reds and S/S will testify...if you spend too long battling with a bumper happy opponent it soon burns up yer tyres, so I counted myself lucky I didnae have to get involved in a bumper battle until the end of the Final! Got lucky in both heats...was battling with Spike and Liam in Heat 2 when Spike tried to avoid a spun car on the back straight which sent him spinning, and as I sneaked through all I could see in my mirror was a car flying over the infield and into the turn 3 wall! That left a big enough gap for me to be able to catch & pass Pusher, and stay far enough ahead to avoid any challenge from MoR. Had a stonking battle with DanSkin in Heat 3 as we managed to break away from the squabbling pack behind, staying nose to tail for over half the race until Dan's luck ran out when he got tangled up with a backmarker which again, left me enough of a gap to avoid an trouble. The Final was a classic...all the blues behaved themselves in the opening laps which saw DanSkin take the lead whilst I had a good, clean battle with Liam behind for 2nd which saw us swap positions a few times. Into the second half of the race, I had managed to get a wee gap back to Liam so started to reel in DanSkin and got within striking distance until I messed up my entry into turn 3 which allowed Liam and Mike through. On the next lap, DanSkin got tangled up with a backmarker again which took him out of the running and allowed TomD to join the squabble for the lead...on the next lap, Mike became the latest casualty as it all kicked off on the home straight, which saw Tom, Liam and myself all barge through on the outside to leave ourselves nose to tail on the last lap...we all went steaming into the last bend but couldnae stop the Jammy Git winning the Final...speak aboot luck and being in the right place at the right time!!! My luck ran oot in the GN...the blues went kamikaze on the first bend which sent me into a half spin and got me involved in the red top squabbling that helped burn up my tyres...had a good race with Johno for most of the race tho and managed to avoid the bumper happy Daveyboy as I climbed back up to 5th, mustn't grrrumble! Will cya'll next time.

Awesome stuff tonight lads, what a way to start the season. Wasn't sure what to expect from my "proper" debut from blue and the first two heats were real eye openers...bumpers were flying in everywhere and by the time everyone sorted themselves oot, the right rear tyre was cooked. Got lucky eventually in Heat 3, the Final and Grand National...managed to get the early breaks away from the kamikaze pack and was chuffed to be able to keep up with the leaders and look after the tyres. Mustn't grrrrumble...was a grand way to vent some frustrations after a tough day in the new job!

I'm sticking with the 2010 Wee-Winged Wonder cheers

Any chance someone can reset the server to F1 please?
-
I'm no fussy...can make it "Winner Picks" between tracks that do not feature on the F1 Fixtures, which would give us a choice of 7 tar tracks below: Crimond (+ Crimond Fog) Taunton NEC Onchan Posterholt Barford St Columb Would save having to make car swaps for different surfaces, unless folk want to make it an hour of tarmac and an hour of shale? I'll be in the server from aboot 8ish anyway so will cya there.
-
Anyone fancy an evening of Old Skool style 10lap bumper-filled sprint races tomorrow? I need to test my new GFX card under racing conditions, and will have a couple of hours free from around half 7ish tomorrow evening if the server can be set for real-life skins again? No graded starts, no practice sessions...simple 5min warm up then as many sprint races your arms can handle!
-
Retaining my 2010 skins aswell please
-
Had a quick blast in the practice server last night in order to test my new GFX card and have to say, the tarmac physics are a marked improvement...no more chronic twitching if you got the back end out under power on corner exit...now you can glide the car on the throttle but if you give it that little bit too much, it will still bite and send you spinning. Top marks lads, and the setups just seal the deal perfectly...it was very interesting to feel how different every individual's setups were, yet still be able to set similar laptimes. Well done UKSOM and the Beta testers, a job well done

What a difference 12months make...this time last year I was causing havoc with numerous spins in traffic and now I find myself winning a race from blue AND being able to spin out the way of the traffic lmao. Superb fun last night lads...the Winter Series Shootout being a particular highlight despite the finish outside the top 10...it was worth it thanks to some stonking hits between myself, Trav and Spike for most of the race, epic stuff. Enjoyed top races all night with almost everyone (the battle with Johno and Corny in a heat was hard going, as well as just managing to avoid Tom's last bend lunge for the Heat 2 win). Well done Aub and Tom, they both take some beating on this track...roll on the World Final.
-
Well done lads, I look forward to sampling the improvements and setups...sounds like you really have gone the extra mile, top work.
-
Epic stuff lads, just like the good old days I predict some post-meeting frolics tomorrow...10lap sprints, winner picks the next track hehe.
-
Cya'll there shortly
-
I'll do an offline check first anyway but I've got a couple of tweaks to try so would rather do it whilst connected to a server...if the server can be set so that the race time is under floodlights, all that needs to be done (if there are no administrators in at the time) is to make a vote to "Advance to next session" and do a handful of races...just like the Heat days lol.
-
Anyone gonna be around tomorrow evening for a wee thrash round NIR? I need to do a GFX test under the floodlights if possible otherwise I might no be able to join y'all on Thursday.

Suggestions made earlier in the season can be found Here but to summarise suggestions I support... Non National-Point scoring Whites & Yellows races at every meeting for a separate championship with the points perhaps counting towards a White & Yellow championship race, but still have the bona-fide W&Y Championship being determined by National Points scored over the whole season. This would give these drivers the chance to develop their skills in a more evenly matched race without the worry of blue and red tops coming thumping through. Non National Point scoring Blue & Red top races at every meeting, perhaps counting towards a Ben-Fund style championship race. Non National Point scoring "Accumulator" race at every meeting, where scores are multiplied x4 for white tops, x3 for yellow tops, x2 for blue tops and normal scores for reds, again counting towards a separate championship and indeed an Accumulator Championship Final. Mixed meetings i.e. F1's with F2's or Saloons in support No nonsense stewarding...for example, if the start is duffed or develops into an unnecessary major pile-up...restart it. If a rookie is proving to be a bit of a handful, politely suggest more practice and to try again next time.
