Johno3 Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Hello Guys, Last night I mentioned how I had changed the settings on my steering wheel, and this was thank to Hutch #331. Having just had a breif discussion with him, he has sent me a picture, which may well help some of you. Its about adjusting the rates, and what it did for me was help me to cure my understeer. So thanks very much to Hutch for the picture, and obviously the work in finding the settings. I hope it can work for you like it did for me.
Grasser233 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Ok, after a discussion in chat on Thursday and after what Johno has already said above....I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread were people can post how they have their particular wheel setup as a bit of a starting point or guide if they are new to racing rFactor and are having trouble setting their wheel up So if anyone else wants to post how they have their wheel setup or anyone has a question about their own wheel and how to set it up...this is the place and hopefully someone will have an answer Mine is a Logitech G25... in the Logitech profiler I have my wheel setup like this below In game I have the same as Johno above and my force feed back like below And I also use reelfeel plugin, which an addon for the force feed back and is available HERE at rFC Hope this helps, this above is by no means "how to have it" and is open to change lol
Hutch#331 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 (edited) If you untick your centre spring grasser you'll get on 100 times better Mine acts funny if its still ticked Edited August 8, 2008 by Hutch#331
chevy11 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i know all wheels are different but has anyone got anything for a microsoft sidewinder? plz.
Hutch#331 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 On sidewinders the feedback should be 100%, feedback should be on full for normal rfactor feedback setings If you use real feel put it to low other than that the settings above are the same
Pedz 212 Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 rfactor is like rl like grasser man......does your wheel have any feelings at all?? will post mine soon
The London Allstar Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I have mine very similar to Grasser, i started off with no centering spring at all so it was completly free and took no effort to turn it, now i have turned the spring up to 24% to give a little resistance but not so its anywhere near to hard.
Guest Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I've got a thurstmaster Ferrari GT Experience wheel, PS2/2 / PC compatible Set it up as johno has his, but dont know if good or not lol
RobertL Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Ok, after a discussion in chat on Thursday and after what Johno has already said above....I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread were people can post how they have their particular wheel setup as a bit of a starting point or guide if they are new to racing rFactor and are having trouble setting their wheel up So if anyone else wants to post how they have their wheel setup or anyone has a question about their own wheel and how to set it up...this is the place and hopefully someone will have an answer Mine is a Logitech G25... in the Logitech profiler I have my wheel setup like this below Can somebody tell me where i can find this window?? RobertL Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 what wheel u got? LOGITECH WINGMAN FORMULA FORCE GP
Nezza46 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 can someone bring the pictures back please as i have just got a saitek r220 wheel and could do with the help setting it up correctly. I assume these pictures wiped with the hack? cheers, nez
The London Allstar Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I'd also like to try and re setup my wheel, as i'm sure that i could get more out of it. As i said preveiously further up in the thread i have my wheel so that the centering spring is set low (takes about 1 second to go from 90 dgrees of lock back to the centre). I think my pedals are fine, got the sensitivity on 50% and then throttle rate to 20% Using a logitech formula force ex
Kruiz 136 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I have steering sensitivity at 20%, other than that I've changed nothing. FFB at 100%, full effects, everythig else at 50%.
The London Allstar Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 I have my FFB turned off completely as i really didnt like it, i might try it again though and download the real feel plugin just to see what it's like
Kruiz 136 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Think Ive got real feel didn't really notice a difference lol was ages ago now though, when I couldnt keep it in a straight line so I guess I wouldn't have noticed any differences in the handling back then.
JK16 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Photos dont work from Johno, Pedz and Greasser
The London Allstar Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 They were posted before the forum went down JK, therefore they have been lost.
Lee Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 sorry to bump this up, got realfeel working and was wondering what settings you are using (hutch and grasser etc) please could you re-upload the screenshots?
