For me it was the opposite of last weeks results. Belle Vue is not the best shale track for me, its awesome when your practicing on your own or with a few others but the grid is so compact with no room and drivers steaming full on into back of you every bend.

Managed a good result of second and was about to attack for the lead but got caught with a backmarker and then Mr TomD showed up and i managed to get a 5th.

Got spun in another heat and whilst racing back to catch up with the pack Ali P 65? Decided that he wanted to battle for a pointless 12/13th! Why - god knows, should of just let us try catching the pack!

Rubbish in the final and GN.

See you next week.

I know Southy.. but been so long since I have had the thrill of putting the bumper in didnt even know it was for 12th place.. apologies!

Although I only scored 5 points I did start to enjoy it.. (once I got that hitting the car in front out of the system! :)

Apologies to anyone else whose "race" I spoilt, but it was good to be back...

ALi P 65?

Had a good meeting! enjoyed every race of it!

Best race was final (cause i had some good battles in that one), until lapdowner mike fired robin into me, spinning me while leading race. Recovered for 3rd though.

Well done to Dode on final win.

Well done for running meeting.

See you all next week at NIR

Thanks as always to admin...dunno what it is aboot Belle Vue but I can guarantee that something will always happen when I try to race UK-Dirt F1's here...2 years ago it was the steering wheel, last year it was the graphics and now it was a phone call and the graphics again!

Despite spending the first half of the race on the phone, I was doing well in Heat 4 battling in the top 10 until I got the dreaded back corner hit in traffic and spun down the order. Went a bit better in Heat 5, daring to mess with the east end hardman Steppy before Kane duly obliged by nailing Steppy on the last bend giving me two free places. Dunno why but my graphics were shocking in Heat 7...severe jitter all race long...sounds like Matty suffered the same problem and ironically we spent most of the race giving each other clumsy hits. Wasn't massively fussed about missing out on the A-Final as if the gfx were struggling, it would have been pointless for me anyway...thankfully the B-Final was a good race tho, bad luck again to Matty who was going well until he got collected by a wayward backmarker. Luck stayed with me for the GN as well...couldn't get a break in the pack and feared the worst when Dode joined the battle from his handicap, but then things unravelled around me and I eventually got some clear track space for a top 5 finish.

Great racing as ever lads, hope to catch up with you all again next month sometime.

:5: Added some pics to the results post (and last weeks Sexbierum results post too).

For me, similar to last week, was very pleased to see a strong bookings list and very pleased with how most of the racing went (for me and in general).

Nice to have the Parkinson's back racing also!

A mixed meeting for myself, had a strong first heat and had good speed but seemed to get caught up in everything in all the other races. The final in particular where myself, Robin and Mike got all tangled up which cost all three of us a lap on the field in the end.

Well done to Dode for the final, and as others have said, it's good to see some old faces back again...

Very enjoyable. It was good to be back, and especially with such a healthy grid. I was impressed to find no nutters or idiots out of 30 odd drivers, so the racing was excellent.

Belle Vue is a tricky track and needs plenty practice, and as I was lacking the latter, I was just happy to be on track and hopefully not mess too many others up. Only had one real mess up when got crashed out on the straight ending up sideways facing the fence and had a difficult job getting clear as had to go on trying to hear if anyone was coming (which button would be best in these circumstances - apart from Esc lol??).

Had one or two decent battles at the back of the pack.

Good to see new faces and also good to see some faces from the past (distant past in some cases).

Hoping to be back on track as a regular again now.

Very well run meeting Dan, well done. Nice photos too.

If you're racing from in car view Al, you can set some buttons to look left/right in the controller settings which is often very handy when you're stuck, or even during races.

Thanks Dan. Yes I am in-car so will try to set that up (could be handy for getting out of the pits at NIR too I guess - I usually use "can't hear anything coming so floor it and hope for best"!).

If you have the look left and right mapped and then press tab to get the names above the car you can see what's coming at every track
