congrats mike, well done

Another very good meeting, with some nice racing too! It's a year ago since I was superstar for the last time, and i'm really happy with my points and results from this grade.

The final was a great race I managed to get through the pack quickly, but could't catch Mike, he had a 3 second lead over me.

Thanks for meeting, cyou at Kings Lynn

Well done to Mike, an enjoyable evening but what is it with Skegness? I had three heats wiped out & analysing the replays shows the merest of taps on my side rails whilst cornering making my smith chassis spin or fly into the barrier as if id been flat out hit, usually with the associated broken suspension. I noted one or two comments in chat about Skegness being "unique" shall we say in terms of mod physics & how the cars respond to hits, anyone else find these kind of chassis responses / wild reactions to hits that just dont seem to be realistic or happen at other tracks?

i was same matty my smith chassis was all over place with a tap :042: or maybe it the driver :king: like me

Yeah well it did cross my mind spike given my limited tarmac skills lol! But seriously the chassis reaction to small taps seemed wildly over the top to my mind

There's no difference between the chassis and the track also has no 'physics' differences.

The shape and size of each track will have a baring on what sort of racing you get on it - in the case of Skegness, it's like a roundabout so racing line and setup dictates that the cars are going to be entering the bends at more of an angle than others and the lack of any notable banking isn't going to help either. Therefore, hits on the inside rear and nerf rail are always more common than other tracks. The open kerb also makes you particularly susceptible to this. The 'roundabout' nature also means that people are generally carrying more speed into the bends compared to those tracks where there is a more distinguished need to brake and turn-in.

If I've got somebody behind who I suspect might try a shot like that, I find there's a knack to judging the way you enter a corner at Skegness to ensure you don't become susceptible - it's not the fast way around but it's faster than facing the wrong way :)

Don't forget to factor in a bit of the latency factor Matty - until everyone's ping is zero there will always be an element of contact (and the effects thereof) being accentuated by this - you only have to see how the NZ lads' cars react to contact when hitting them to give a clear example.
