Danny17 Posted July 21, 2014 Report Share Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Wooo yeah 3 point's I was going well in my heat's but got took out in both due to spinner's but that is racing so I go away from tonight happy. I didn't even take anyone out which is a bigger bonus. One thing that was annoying was in the cons an GN the yellow's were sat on my bumper on the rolling lap. in the cons 2 yellow's and a blue came past me by turn 1. If grades are held how can this be? as I was no slouch by any means tonight. All in all I really enjoyed the racing an well done to all who took part in the main event tonight. Stumpy Posted July 22, 2014 Report Share Posted July 22, 2014 The start was held in consi because the whites decided to try to cheat by going early so i held the start until they slowed then let the race go.If you don't try to cheat before go is called then it would not happen so before you start bitching about my race starting you need to look at yourselves. If you don't like my race stewarding find someone else to give up there time for no reward,i can quite happily do something else.Many congratulations to Danskin for winning the Euro after great battles with Josh and earlier with Tom until he was taken out by a back marker. There's no need you have just as much chance of winning from the back as you do the front on rfactor due to the epic mindset of most drivers. I said in teamspeak at the start the back rows would win and that was indeed the case. As for my night the European was a non event really as I expected so was not that much of a shock to be followed in turn 1 plus I was getting told all day that would be the case. After the first bend I had some damage somewhere but I was still kinda mixing it. Was sat in 4th on the last bend not really thinking about it tom came flying in and then I rolled ending up 8th but hey ho 8th is as good as second. As for the rest of the meeting it was ok until I caught the blue tops. Every race I had I cleared the reds only to be stopped by the the blues. I still dont get what thought process goes through these peoples heads, they think getting in a bumper battle will help them? I really dont want to lower myself to putting people away everybend but im getting very close. Anyway that coupled with a few unfortunate bounces of other cars made for a very mediocre night. So shale next week a strange mysterious surface where the rear bumper simply doesn't exist just a inside rear wheel. Well done to Skinner is that every championship you have now? Also well done to Josh who put up a great fight I could just about see it all going on in front of me. Also well done on winning the Final. Cheers to Dave and Jamie Top job chaps. As for last night I was in all the chaos all night and if I wasn't being followed in I was rolling over, but I guess that's Stockcar racing! I can't thank Stumpy enough. People seem quick to jump on his back however we are running from 2 servers at once and if I'm in .45 I have to totally rely on stumpy to keep .48 as consistent as my server and he sure does a top job of it. I'm not too sure who has complained in his direction but if you want stumps to not bother, trust me he won't. Last night we had a 10 race meeting (a double header only usually has 8 races). If it wasn't for Stumpy at 10pm when we finished we would of literally only been half way through the meeting, and tbh we weren't holding back last night.... samson Posted July 22, 2014 Report Share Posted July 22, 2014 Not once have i complained about the starting of a race but the consolation was a joke the whole grid was near on closed up now I'm sorry but I would see the point if it was only 1 admin in stewarding the start but there were 5 admin in the server and not one of them were racing. I was caught between a rock and a stone as I was not the lead car. Do I keep pace with the inside car or hang back to get battered by the yellows. I wasn't trying to cheat it's a decision I had to make at the time as when I looked behind the yellows were there so really I couldn't have slowed up anyway. Cheers Danny. Stumpy Posted July 24, 2014 Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 looked more like a banger DD than a stock car race Have you even watched the race.The race at the front with Dan,Josh and Tom,(until Tom was taken out) was epic.Personally i don't know Josh but he has been impressive and has pushed the World Champion all the way to the finish in many races it has been some of the finest racing i have had the privillage to watch and long may it continue.It just shows if want to race against the best drivers the only place to race is UKDirt the home of Champions. Yeah it's been great to race along side Dan, he's definitely one of the only people you can have a fair race with (Until the last bend!) lol, but yeah, it's been an amazing experience so far, coming from racing with 5-10 cars to racing with 20+ and being able to get through the grid so fast is a massive achievement for me, I've always wanted to be as fast as Dan and Tom if I'm honest, I used to sit in practice and watch every line they took etc and took it in, the latest F2 update is fantastic, it is definitely one of the best mods to drive, some people don't get on with it because of the 'sideways' action, but Dan etc prove that the mod doesn't just need to be driven sideways to be fast, hopefully soon I can bag a title just so Dan doesn't get a clean sweep!
