Doubt I'll ever have a drive like that again! A little less so when I got taken out of 2nd in the Final by a back marker, but you gotta take the rough with the smooth I guess! wardy515 Posted July 20, 2015 Report Share Posted July 20, 2015 Got to say a big well done to leek he deserves a championship for the all work he has done for ukdirt , really got back on my feet tonight after a lot of bad results in f2 in recent weeks , but not blowing my own trumpet , I think I had my best drive ever in the grandnational, passing threw the traffic with real control and consistency it was a shame I got stuck behind 718 in the closing laps and couldnt challenge for the win on the last bend ! Stumpy Posted July 21, 2015 Report Share Posted July 21, 2015 Massive well done to Leek 39 cruising round in 5th place letting leaders scrap it out,then using all his experience to take the lead on penultimate lap and bring it home for a very popular win.Such an exciting race for the Euro final i was getting carried away commentating on the race on Ts sorry about that. Well done Shay 182 for winning the meeting Final,and of course the legend Danskin 236 for topping the points. See you all at the ice rink Mildenhall next week,last chance for WQ points. As practice went on I actually worked out how to drift the car and improve my lap times, so I was happy that I could handle the car. Only downside was that if I drifted too much my backend was available to hit and I'd be spun. Euro race started really well, actually got to 10th from 23rd but it was short lived as I was half spun and lost several places. Nevertheless happy to have finished in 14th and not be lapped!!!! LeeK39 Posted July 21, 2015 Report Share Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks for all the congratulations, been a long time since I won any titles in F2s, dont think ive won a race of any kind in F2s all season Like has been said previously, after the first few laps of enevitable hard pack racing I found myself watching Kane and Ben driving away only for Dan and Jake to turn up and drive away also. Looked tasty so I sat back and watched them all slow each other down just in time to nip inside of Ben and Dan near the end and avoid them all to steal the win. Also Well Done to Dan for top scoring...as usual and Shay for the Final win. Thanks for Dave and Stumpy as per usual, nicely run and enjoyed the commentary of the race Stumps, Im not one for concentrating while racing anyway so the commentary is always a good laugh.
