BWP Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 Hello people, I am thinking about getting a copy of Dirt track racing - Sprint cars and was wondering if any of the uk dirt lads have played it and what you think to it compared to Brisca heat etc? Thx
Pedz 212 Posted November 25, 2005 Report Posted November 25, 2005 imo get your rear end on ukdirt i have got WoO (world of Outlaws/sprintcars) its good but just return to f1's all the time if u get it lad ere a helpful LINK...
JohnMid Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I really enjoyed DTR:Sprint Cars, but I'm glad the league moved to Nascar Heat all the same. The dirt physics are a lot better in DTR (to be expected) but the online element was never as good as Heat.
big al 515 Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Online is abymal in WOO/DTRSC compared to Heat. You can't make contact in any kind of a consistent way. DTRSC is a fun game. End of.
Dragon 428 Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Does DTRSC run on XP as well? Havent tried it yet but maybe one knows? I tried to install Colin Mc Rae Rally 1.0 on the PC again the other week but had no joy with it. Seems that XP and the newer grpahics cards don't like the game I got it to work only on a resolution from 320x240 pixels and after a stage the gane crashed out. I have looked at a couple of forums and stuff for answeres but no joy. I also had some help from JohnMid but we couldn't get any further either. Someone has some more ideas how to solve it? Dragon

Dragon Have u tried to run it as a "windows 95" game ??? U can set this in XP Install the game. Right-click on the shortcut. Choose properties Choose compatibility ...................... or however u spell that .......LOL Pick the modus that u want (95, 98, ME, 2000 or NT4). And reboot. It might work. Give it a try. Cheers MC
JohnMid Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 We tried that, oh and Dragon, your gfx card is very much not "newer" I think Colin McRae would run perfect on your PC if you were on Windows 98 with that card. The alternative is to get Colin McRae 2. It's as good as #1, should be pennies (cents?) to buy and I think is more likely to work in XP with the patches etc. #3 onwards, I wouldn't touch with yours.
JohnMid Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Oh, and to Al, about DTR/SC, I do wonder what it would be like online with everyone on broadband.
