    HELP

I believe its the ui.res file that is missing and causing some problems.

    HELP

I've heard a few people having problems trying to run our mods with just the Essentials pack, It doesn't contain all of the files needed apparently, I'm not sure which files it doesn't have but I'd recommend getting a Nascar heat cd if possible. I think the JamieG still has some copies available.
  3. While on the subject of Ringwood, if anyone can get pics of the track and its trackside scenery (food wagons, fences, toilet blocks, armco etc etc) for modelling it for the league I'd greatly appreciate it. Cheers in advance
  4. Have you got all of the banger update patch's? Patch 3 was released yesterday. Also which drivers.txt is causing the problem, unlimited,2 litre, etc?
  5. Glad you got the memory installed ok. I use a sidewinder steering wheel, I've had it for about 3 years or so, does the job for me. The quickest GTR drivers also use pedals so they can feed the power in and brake without locking up, It is a very realistic game and takes time to get the hang of but once you do its brilliant fun.
  6. I hope it is true, but that demo release date is a long long way off!!!
  7. Thanks Andy Too right Pedz there are some very quick drivers out there. I've got to get my soldering iron out now 'cos I bust my wheel too! I'll keep my eye out for your server Capri, it would be great to race against some UK-Dirt-ers
  8. I've had GTR for a couple of days now and I must say a huge well done to AndyG and the rest of the SimBin team. Its a truelly awesome game, very realistic. My favourite bit so far was whilst racing online flat out along the straight at Spa when someone blew up right in front of me, It was so realistic I couldn't see a thing for smoke! From what I've read so far its not very mod friendly, I've yet to try myself but was wondering your stance on it AndyG? I realise your hands are probably tied to some extent on what is considered by some as a touchy subject. It's brilliant at what it was designed for but would it be any good for UK-Dirt formulae? I seem to remember you having one of your own tracks and an F1 working in a mod of it a while back? Thanks SimBin
  9. I'm only 29 but I seem to find myself talking of "the good old days" alot lately! ÂÂÂ
  10. Microsoft have released their own version of spybot/ad-aware, for those that don't know its a program that searches for hidden spyware programs that get installed on your pc while you are on the internet, these programs can slow down both your pc and your internet connection, so its worth searching for and removing these every now and again. I've only read good reviews about Microsoft AntiSpyware so far and have been using it myself for a week or 2 without any problems but if you know different let me know! It can be downloaded here. Cheers Nick.
  11. My Arena essex track is around 4600 polys, I feel that that is very close to the online limit, I've been told that it is too much for private servers to handle. The other factor is texture sizes, these should be kept as small as possible, If only the guys in the know could figure out how the level of detail works in the original Nascar heat tracks ie: when you turn down the detail slider you lose some trackside objects, all our problems would then be solved.
  12. Yep I watched it Stu....very spooky, whether you believe in it or not it was brilliant entertainment
  13. Brilliant stuff, cheers Cap
  14. 67% Clear-headed Some could call you spontaneous, others might say plain disorganised - but planning ahead has never been your strong point! But at least you’re not the dribbling mess in the corner, you manage to make sensible and rational decisions when it comes to the crunch. I think the meter must be broken 'cos in reality 7% would be nearer the mark!
  15. excellent

  21. I cant download attachments unless I turn Norton Internet Security off, just need to figure out how to add the forum to my allow list in Norton.
  22. I had this problem on my Linksys wireless conection when I installed Windows SP, If I uninstalled SP2 everything was fine, I tried several patches but nothing worked so I uninstalled SP2 for good! Not the ideal answer but it works.
  23. OK Here's an easy one to get you started Stu Who did Gizmo 287 dish out a huge hit on in an all yank race at Ipswich in the early 90's?
  24. Thanks for another one of your top quiz's Stu, Shame I didn't notice it before most of the answers had been got. Maybe I should start a new thread called Challenge Stu where peeps try do the impossible and catch you out with their banger related questions
