  1. Excellent clips, thanks for those
  2. this thread just gets better and better, thats got to be the strangest example ever!
  3. Yeah you are spot on Mitch, thats the only known way to get anything back from a .tex, if you are going to use that method set your screen resolution as high as you can before you do the printscreen bit, the results are far from great still though.
  4. I've never agreed with a forum post so much in all my life As for me not knowing who good old Bill is, I can only apologise and hide back behind the sofa
  5. Which ones do you want Si? I have most of them I can upload if need be.
  6. No disrespect to the man but I wouldn't have known who he was either but then again I'm only interested in bangers so why should I know.
  7. Thanks for the video clip Cap he certainly caught the post nicely didn't he! lucky it wasn't lefthand drive. I can't believe how clean that coupe was, hardly any rust visible in those pics!
  8. Thanks for the pics and vids The best of swaffham DVD has to be one of the best banger DVD's ever! if you haven't already got it, go get it NOW!
  9. Excellent pictures on the website, some properly bent cars too Thanks.
  10. I thought Dazza's original quote was spot on! lol If you download the car from my website it comes with the wheels and no damage!
  11. Very very very very nice looking model FBF, well done
  12. I've posted your renders in the 2006 Banger section of the forum gallery.
  13. If you post your .tga on here I'll do it for you if no one else has already.
  14. I'm more than happy for anyone to do whatever they like with my banger models just credit me with the original model is all I ask, 3ds files for most of my models are available for download from my website.
  15. Thanks for all your hard work Kev
  16. It could possibly be an over heating problem, try pointing a desk fan at it while it's doing something intensive such as rendering, see if it makes any difference. Also make sure all the holes where it draws air in and blows it out are free from obstructions.
  17. I'll do a render of my 2 Litre Banger world final winning car and whilst on this subject I'd like to see a render of every car somewhere on the website, as I've said before the website is superb at doing what it does (the technical side) but IMO it could really do with some extra visual stuff, hopefully thats what you are undertaking now , I can do a render of every banger if needed.
  18. I've got several projects on the go at the moment, once I've got them out of the way I'll try to add some more to the tutorial. The next step is to cut some faces about to give the panels some roundness and shape.
  19. There certainly used to be an F1 stockcar type formula a few years ago based on Mardave petrol powered models, I used to subscribe to a radio control model magazine which had a section every month on that formula, it used to show you how to make your own home made box section chassis for them, looked great fun but after looking into it there were no tracks near me.
  20. Not enough display memory either I'd say, a laptop is it?
  21. I've never had much to do with Sparky but when I have he's always been pleasant with me, sure I've read some silly things that he's posted on the forum over the years but they have almost always been in reply to someone ridiculing him or his modelling skills, so what sort of reply do you all expect from him, he is just a kid afterall trying his best at something that is extremely difficult to learn too many of you seem to knock him for no particular reason I think everybody within this league appreciates the huge amount of work that AndyG, JayW etc put into it to get it started, probably me more than most as I know just how much time must have been spent modelling the tracks and things, as Dragon said himself alot of the tracks were modelled just from peoples explainations of the tracks, to get things as good and as close to real life as they did makes their work even more incredible, we have more resources available to us now such as aerial pictures and high quality digital cameras as well as lots of people that have driven the tracks in real life, their opinion is the most valued of all and is something that I'll use in the future if I model any more tracks, we also have much better pc's that are able to cope with more detail, so basically what I'm saying is that people are bound to talk about making a track better, more realistic or asking about fixing minor bugs, because pc's and games move on and with it expectations get higher, to me that in no way means they do not appreciate the work the original modellers did. BTW Happy ChristmasÂ
  22. Consider it done!!! Don't bother getting the pics Mek, it seems those who have driven the track say that it's already lifelike.
  23. Nice one Mek
  24. Having watched this years world cup dvd the other day it does appear that the real life track drives completely different to our online one, the model looks as if it has all of the bits in the right places but from watching the dvd something just isn't quite right, it's hard to tell just from a dvd but the straights on the real track seem shorter and the corners less banked Without the original modelling files the track cannot be altered, it would have to be completely remade, that goes for making reverse versions or making sticky infields too. We have a couple of people currently learning the art of track modelling so if someone can get lots of high resolution pictures of the track mainly from the inside looking out then you never know someone might have a go at doing it.
  25. The only way this can be done is if you can get the original max files from whoever made the track, as far as I'm aware there is no way to extract anything usable from the in-game tracks.
