Just to add to my above post, when you do the extruding, drag the mouse down instead of up, that way your car shouldn't be inside out.
-
Thats looking 100% better After you've got to the stage in picture 3 above, switch to 'face sub-object' mode, select all of the faces on your car, scroll down the edit mesh menu and click 'flip' that should fix your inside out problem. If it still doesn't look right, let me know.

I just did a quick search on Google and found a link with some pictures, I still need more though. The link I found.

Thanks to the very helpful Biffo, Splinter and others I've started work on the Aldershot track, there's still alot more to do, here's a couple of pictures of the progress so far, the textures you see in the pictures aren't necassarily the final product. [attachmentid=8454] [attachmentid=8455] I could still do with some more pictures to get a better idea of the trackside scenery, so if you have any or know a location on the net please let me know. Cheers Nick

Spot on, no such thing as an accident anymore, it's always someones fault ( never the person that had the accident). I also agree with Rikards post.

Looking good Boogie

If it was a football stadium, I bet it wouldn't get the restrictions placed on it. It's always sad to lose a track, specially as it's very rare to get a new one opening.

All I can say is keep trying, you will get there in the end, I can't really add any more than whats in the tutorial. If you still can't figure it out, post up a pic of what you have and an explanation of exactly what you did and I should be able to tell you where you are going wrong.

Yep interesting program, good luck Eddie.

Thats the sweetest thing you have ever called me
-
This is not necassarily the opinion of everybody that has worked on it.
-
Good luck with trying to use it Ernie, it's the most unstable tool I've ever used, click in the wrong place and it crashes losing all of your work Save often Ps. have u got the Bemax exporter? it allows you to do alot more work in max and less in Plaything2.

You have to bear in mind this is an old game.

This is only a .jpeg so not the best quality and it is nowhere near finished (no Specular lighting, no bump mapping etc) [attachmentid=8329]

Looking good Dazza and so is the track, so get it finished NOW! There you go Nemesis I'm hassling him about the track again for you

Are you offering now? If so what sort of help can you offer as from previous posts I know your time is very limited? TBH I've not touched rFactor for a while as I've been and still am decorating the house, hence the reason my 'team' of modders are currently working on another project, once the house is done I'll have more time.

As far as I know you still need the original Carmageddon 2 game. this link will take you to a Carma 2 website form there you may be able to find a SoD download, through the links.

Been folowing the progress of this F1 management game for years as I too have some of the older ones and really enjoyed them, the project is looking good and should be great when it's finally finished.

Think I had the Indy 500 game on the pc, was it the one that had the copy protection that consisted of a picture that came up before the game loaded, you had to look through the manual, find the picture then type in the page number, if you got it wrong it wouldn't let you play?! Spent many hours crashing into the AI in that game, nudge them going into the corner and they'd wipe themselves all over the wall, then next lap you could bury another driver into them After that game I moved onto the 1st Papyrus Nascar game, in that one you could paint all the cars, of course I painted them all in real banger driver colours and spent my evenings following in the likes of the Suicide Squad, Cream Team, Motley krew at Martinsville and Louden Was gutted when my hard drive crashed and I lost the lot After that came the original Destruction derby game, I brought it not realising it required a 'co-processor' which my 50Mhz PC didn't have, I had only one option...upgrade!!!! I brought a new 'state of the art' motherboard and a 90Mhz Pentium 1! I also spent 300 odd quid on an extra 4Mb of RAM, it was expensive back then. The game was worth it but it was very limited. After several other racing games including Destruction Derby 2 and Nascar racing 2 and 3, Carmageddon came out, all my dreams had come true, this was the game I had dreamt of, I could wreck the opponents and be rewarded for it and whats more they would wreck me! with the aid of a 3DFX graphics card it had graphics to die for too Carmageddon 2 still rates as one of my favourite games, I still play Freddy's banger mod for it now, it was also the game that started me off modelling 3D cars, so I have alot to thank it for. Well that turned into a short story of my racing game road to Nascar heat, sorry , anyone care to share theirs?

I couldn't see any way of doing it, no, another reason I've stopped making a banger mod for it.

The damage has potential, it just depends on the car model.... [attachmentid=8250] [attachmentid=8251]

Make sure you are working at the Edit mesh 'Edges' sub-object level then by clicking 'Select Open Edges' it should automatically select all the correct edges for you, you will need to de-select the door pillar edges by holding down 'Alt' and clicking on them as you don't want to extrude them at the same time, if that method doesn't work for you, you'll have to select the correct edges manually, holding down 'Ctrl' whilst clicking will add an edge to your current selection.
