Cheers Kev, I built a new PC over the winter and planned on doing as many meetings as I could this year (here and other leagues/games) but various visitors and work trips mean I've hardly raced at all. Was miles off the pace in practice, then tried my Buxton setup and suddenly went 2 tenths faster, weird! Got a great start in the final and was leading very early on, was tricky avoiding all the spun cars and I had a lot of luck, rear tyres were shot and Tom was catching me fast but he got held up and I managed to hang on \o/.

Where can i get the track from? Apparently I have an old version??

Just uploaded mine. They have the sim-stox .veh files though I'm afraid as I wasn't sure what to put for UKDirt.

cancel me too, for some reason only half the keys are working on my keyboard (writing this from laptop) so i can't type the current password in!!!

It's a very hard track to race at cleanly. I got a bit fed up of JK constantly hitting my left rear and half spinning me so gave him a hit that was probably a bit too hard, but not a follow in. Fair play to him next time he was behind me there was no huge hit. Don't like the track as you never get close to winding the cars up.

It normally takes a while practicing to get used to a wheel. Stick at it - most people move the wheel far more than they need at first to and end up understeering into the wall. Make sure you've turned your steering lock up as far as it will go in rfactor.

I let my subscription lapse in 2009 but I'm going to race again in 2010 - when's the best time to send payment? Should I wait until January? Ta

www.34sp.com They aren't the cheapest, but the service is superb. Been with them since 2000 without problems.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but if anyone is struggling with setups give the default ones a try, I think they've been updated with the latest patch. I used my own for 2 heats last night, then switched to the default and was a good 2 tenths faster by the last few laps of the GN. One of the things I didn't like about Heat was the secrecy of setups. Although its not as critical in rfactor (a shale track will always need to be driven differently unlike heat) the new defaults are a good second a lap faster than the old ones, so give them a try. Thanks to whoever made them too!

Cheers. Like I said, I never really expected to make contact but went in fast anyway just in case, then as you got tangled up I realised I could so just went for it. Obviously I realised it was a very hard hit, bordering on being too hard otherwise I wouldn't have posted on here. And like you, I'm all for clean racing in a normal situation, but the last bend is different in my opinion. I'm not apologising for the move as such, but I am sorry if it ruined your evening as I know it leaves a bitter taste.

Well thats it Kruiz, I saw the win there for the taking and I don't win many races - that was the first sniff of a victory I've had for months. I've been taken out from a lap down, been caught up with backmarkers many times before and I know how frustrating it is so I apologise to dave and allstar if I annoyed them, look forward to the next race and any payback peace
