I've got the same problem as you, Al. I have the skinpacks (I deleted last years etc) plus I have the novice skins and I still see oddities. There are a bunch of whites with orangey-red skins and "temp" written on them; also, some other cars appear to have skins that are corrupted. Last year, only Ayrton Smith's car appeared corrupted to me but this year there are probably two or three. This is a dir /s of my shaleOL folder (F1) - does it look OK? Volume in drive C has no label. You don't need a top end gaming PC to run this game. This also applies to what rfactor will be superceded by - rfactor 2. Therefore, if you aim for rfactor2 recommended specification hardware, you've got a future proofed setup. rfactor 2 recommended specs are: Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista 64bit, Windows 7 64bit Processor: 3.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or 3.0 GHz AMD Athlon II x2 or better Memory: 4 GB+ Video: nVidia 250 GTS or ATI/AMD 4870 or better 512MB Hard disk: 4GB DirectX Version: 9.0c If you want to play other PC games, like Crysis etc, you'll need a better computer. Basically, anything i3 or better with a dedicated graphics card is going to run rfactor for you. 2GB RAM is OK for now; you could always add some later. Precisely why I didn't race last night, can't be bothered to race tar which seems to be the preferred surface for banger racing and can't be bothered to race again next year. It's exciting and enjoyable when people want to race like real F1s but a complete waste of time otherwise. Well done Boostman for a top notch performance - great to see your 1st win, too.

I wouldn't use Wireless for racing unless you have a solid wireless N connection and you're close to the router. Have you looked here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852 Particularly the 'Prefer IPv4 over IPv6' item? It looks like you install something to change your network preferences so it's best to do a system restore backup point before you apply it just in case. Otherwise, you could look in your local network connection properties and try removing the IPV6 item from the list. Again, do a restore backup point beforehand. Failing that, I wonder if your router is configured to dish out IPV6 addresses in preference to IP4? If you have any trouble, PM me. If I don't know how to sort it, I know someone who will.
