Yes, it seems Boxer Jack and Paul Whiteman have left the Runners (possibly one more too, maybe Matt Fuller?) Also rumours going around that Goodearl/Rubble have had a falling out with Overy/Cotty which may see Team Black split.

Really enjoying driving with the wheel now, amazing what a couple of days practise can do for you ! MaxForceAtSteeringRack=1500.000000 SteeringDamper=2500.000000 FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000 SmoothingLevel=4 Just out of interest (and I cant make much sense of the stuff written on the forum regarding the plugin), any idea on what some of these values should be for a big difference? (I.e sharp steering to slow steering etc) Also, when i select a controller profile, every time I re-load the game I have to reload that profile and re-adjust all the mappings, any idea why lads? Re-install of the game maybe? Cheers again in advance, Dazza

Cheers for all the info guys, got the Real Feel plugin and have messed about with that abit and im getting a lot more consistant with it

Had my wheel a couple of days now, and yes, I know im not going to be mega quick at first but I still cant really get the car under a close control let alone go fast. It just seems like the front is very 'light' and has very sharp precise steering, whats the best way to deal with it?. I had this before when I used a pad but managed to sort it and throw the car about almost at will but now it seems like starting all over again. And this is just on tarmac, havent gone near the shale yet ! Ive got a Logitech DFP and have had some good help from LeeK last night (Cheers Mate ) but after messing about some more today I really seem to be at square one again. Are there any tips and tricks you lads with wheels could give that would help? I know practise is one of them Cheers for any info Dazza

Just done a hundred or so laps and must say this track is really really good. Attention to detail is excellent, love the pit area and the fact you are able to drive through the pit gate when joining but not when racing is a good idea too. Congrats aswell must be said for leaving the posts on the straight as normal armco and having proper post on the bends only, some people wont like it but I feel it will produce better racing in the long run. This mod is getting better and better, a wheel has been ordered now too so hoping to get faster as things progress. Well done UKSOM yet again, Dazza

I always found heat easier to play on keys to be honest, I've never really bought any games where I thought a wheel is essential until Rfactor

Yep, really good meeting last night, I threw in a real quick lap at one stage (well quick for me!) but I think I tried to hard after that and just couldnt get it going. Just cant seem to get the pad setup properly with any combination, I see a G25 coming on soon if things dont improve Cheers for running/organising it Drum, Dazza

Can I make a provisonal booking as im at Bangers all day again on Sunday and may not be back in time. No problem if thats not allowed Cheers Dazza

Was just about to post whether it was done in BTB until I saw the last post I've created a track in BTB as well (as well as a couple for heat using max) and whilst the detail isnt brilliant sometimes you can certainly have some fun doing it then racing on it minutes later. Well done mate

Thanks to everyone involved, it's an excellent addition.

Well done Tads/Nick, looking very nice indeed!

Thanks Drum, good fun I thought. The track is brilliant, fast, tight and SKILL involved (Many thanks for creating/letting us use it tonight), had a couple of cracking races with Murph aswell amongst others Was a shame when Scrappy and LeeK lost heart abit after some 'silly' hits, If only you had stayed Scrap you would have thought it was good. Thanks again Dazza

Is it too late to book lads?? I wanted to race the last meeting held but as I was at bangers all day I never got back in time, but I've got chance tonight so would love to race if I could. Many thanks, and no problems if not Dazza

I use a pad and still get loads of fun playing this mod, you make it what you want it to be after all. You can still 'hang it out' with a pad just not from the start of the bend from my experience, I usually let the car drift half way around the bend under breaking and then boot it out in a big slide. My fastest laps have been: Ipswich Tar - 15.321 Ipswich Shale - 15.811 Sexbierum - 14.415 I had a few laps with HaaDee a couple days ago who was on keys and he wasnt a much slower then me 9not saying im quick) so maybe it is all in the driving and setup? On a different note, on the player stats, when you look at the lap times, for Ipswich Tarmac it always knocks a second off of your fastest lap time. Is that the same for anythign else?

I personally love this mod to bits. I think the cars, tracks, handling, shale in your eyes are really really good. I dont think the cars are to hard to control either, I appreciate peoples views in saying they are (hey I often spin out ) but I find that having to concentrate and 'feel' the car through the bends makes this game probably one of the best I have driven. I've watched Hutch at Sexbierum, proper controlled sideways drifting whilst still going at a really quick speed, it is possible but I think a wheel is a must if you want proper full lock sideways action. Both tarmac and shale are totally different which is really cool aswell. Keep it going guys, looking forward to more tracks aswell, Ipswich Shale remains my favourite at the moment though Dazza

Cheers for the suggestion Lakey. I've got a 19 inch widecreen monitor so the reslution is 1440x900, and I had that set on 32 bit. A little while a go I changed it to a medium (lower res) 32 bit setting, a high 16 bit setting, and medium and low 16 bit settings and it still kept on doing it, so I figured that if it's going to happen i may aswell have good graphics whilst it's doing it! So far so good with the side off the comp Scrappy, hasnt happened once, so the problem looks to have been overheating?? Dazza

My Tarmac and shale skins! Thanks MR for the guide, would have been in a right mess without it! Great Mod! Dazza 684_Shale.zip 684_Tarmac.zip

It can be very random, sometimes you could do 10-15 minutes without one then have it freeze 3 or 4 times within 5 minutes. I'll have a go with the side off an report back anyway, thanks

I keep getting trouble with the game freezing, pausing for about 10-20 seconds in the same place, then playing on from that same position. It will do it offline and online and never kicks me from a server but its very annoying. It happens in any RFactor mod. I've tried changing the settings at to the different Direct X settings but it still happens, the last thing to try is a new driver install for the graphics card but has anyone else had any problems with the game freezing? Any suggestions appreciated to! Dazza
