  1. NTFS was the only option available to format with, so im pretty sure it's right. I think it might be easier just to install windows onto the enw one and go from there??
  2. I beleive you normally lose a certain amount of Hard disk space because you install windows on to it (or it is pre-loaded onto it when you buy a pc). But I havent got windows installed on this and I think 32gb is a little too much to loase if it is supposed to be 160gb. Wish I hadnt of bothered now Dazza
  3. Ok, thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions (you know who you are ), I have formatted the hard drive and it is now shwoing up and is usuable. However, it is only saying 128gb not 160gb! Why have I suddenley lost 32gb! Dazza
  4. Hi all, Im back with a hard drive problem! Luckily the old one still works fine but I have bought a new 160gb hard drive (IDE) and have set that as the slave, but when i boot up, the normal one (with windows on) works fine but the other one (Slave) wont show up in the My Computer display. On the top of the hard drive it has 4 different settings for making it a slave, I have tried all 4 but none have worked. Now im sure the new 160gb would work if I set it as the master and whacked windows on it, but ideally I wanted to keep it as a slave. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance Dazza
  5. I have heard a rumour that Ringwood will be back, but dont hold me to that
  6. Add me please Aus!
  7. Searching 'spywarequake' in google brings lots up. Read this for full removal instructions m8, its a trojan - also read here for general info and another method to fix. gd luck ........ Wrighty Nice one Wrighty, the first link fixed it for me Cant thank you enough mate Thanks for those links to other threads as well Mart, as you can see i had the problem before in Yorick's thread although the SmitFraudFix that worked last time didnt work this time. Dazza
  8. The other hasnt popped up for a minute or two so i cant get a link to that. Thanks for looking Thats happened before Rik so good idea!
  9. Thats the one for Critical Error one - http://www.spywarequake.com/?aff=240
  10. Hi all, Im sure I've had this before but a small popup box comes up about every 5 minutes saying I have a critical system error. All it is though is a popup to get you to buy an anti virus program. Does anyone know how to get rid?? Also, a pop up will flash every couple minutes or so saying I have a virus (Networm or something??) but that is also just a popup to get you to buy anti virus software. Any help on that too Thanks in advance Dazza
  11. Correct Hazy, this isnt possible at the moment
  12. Rik, If you have a mirror, it will only come flying of and whack you in the side of the head when I T-bone you mate! Mirrors are junk, as you spend too much time looking at what is just about to fence/jack you, just sit back, keep looking forward and enjoy the ride! The capri now looks the mutts nuts Dazza, now youve done that you can get back on with the track mate. Who said anything about it being finsihed! I've still got all the damage and Lod's to do yet, and im on holiday next week!
  13. The track is definately gonna be next Jamesey! Im glad Nick has started Aldershot because I can start pestering him again (Only joking Nick!) And Rikard, no mirror's im afraid! They are crap in real life and there is no way I would ever model one for a banger online! I always thought you should concentrate whats going on in front rather then behind!
  14. Oops forgot the pic!
  15. A little update, this time all skinned up! Thanks must go to Marcy for making this excellent 202 Kilf skin for me so I could render it [attachmentid=8550] Marcy also adjusted the template for me with some editing here and there, so another thank you for that Also included is a shot of the car in game! [attachmentid=8551] Cheers Dazza
  16. I have a good idea on how the damage will be, 341 Andy Jones had a Capri at Smeatharpe which looked absolutey sweet when wrecked, it probably still would have gone aswell if the prop hadnt of snapped off! Anyway, some 3d plates
  17. I was thinking about this aswell. Each 'plate' would work out at 10 polys each meaning a minimum of 30 which is possible I suppose
  18. Bit further with it. This is using the old front pic from the old template, it doesnt look to bad when rendered so will test properly to see what it looks like in game to see if it can be used Hope you like
  19. Nice one Jamesey, but similar to Wrighty's pics, if only there were bangers! Ive got a sort of template half knocked up which is suitable, Im just gonna wait and see what Rodder can get for me, of if there are Capri's down Bonebuster which are suitable. If not Im going to go ahead with the template I have got at the moment. Dazza
  20. Nice one Crewie, having never stripped one out I would never have known that!
  21. That was no women in that car hitting that van. (2nd Vid). It was Kev Wilsher on holiday in America! Some wicked vids though Rik
  22. Gr8 Job dazza so far As I mentioned in previous post I still think the shape of the driversdoor window and the side window is not 100 % , allthough most of you have other opinion.. I'll try to explain what i meant in attached image... the "tango" capri is almost the same in angle and size as the "in-game" capri but where the green arrows are I do see some difference in the shape , i think that minor difference makes a lot of difference for the total shape of the model... just my thoughts , for what its worth... keep up the good work. Frank I can see where you coming from mate. However, my model was done to an absoultely dead square photo, everything from the height of the roof to the placement of the wheel arch lines up with the picture I have, it was not a road going picture but a banger so maybe its just the car?? [attachmentid=8416] [attachmentid=8417] Take a look at the 404 Rob Mills Capri from Bristol, then look at 969 Jamie Pickup's from Hednesford. Then take a look at that rear window. This is one thing I have noticed when modelling this Capri is that some seem to have 'extra' metal inside the rear window and some dont. If you then look at the size of the window beteen the two it would give the impression of the roof looking 'lower' then what it actually is. Im not sure if this came with the higher spec Capri's or not (or maybe its on all Capri's but some drivers take it out, can someone please say!) but I think you will agree it certainly makes a difference. I cant say the same for the side window however so maybe thats just down to the photos?? As I have said, I just wanted to get the 'shell' of the car into game to see how it looks, and I can guarentee that the car is not the right length or width in that picture, it was just a rough estimate (which is why the wheels etc look way out of place). Maybe when I have it all mapped etc and ready for damage, I will stick the car in game properly with everything all lined up to see what you lads think?? I appreciate the kind words and comments and anything like this Ernie helps to make a better model in my opinion. Dazza
  23. Thats is Mitch's site mate, not that it makes any difference Ok, when on the homepage, go to Dazza's workshop. Then click on 'How the 280c was made' and it should show up the steps I take to do a car Dazza
  24. Im sure Nick uses 3 and 6 but all versions of max have the same principles, maybe just the layout is slightly different. They say that the later versions of max are better then the earlier ones but I have used 3, 4 and 8 and there really isnt alot of difference in them. The new Capri I have modelled was started in max 8, when I was happy with the model and made any changes, I exported the model from Max into a .3ds file so I could import it into Max 3 so that I could put it in game. I have made a slightly less detailed tutorial (if you can call it a tutuorial) on www.bangerskins.cjb.net that may be of some use in the order in which to do things, they may or may not be right the right way but they seem to work alright for me.
  25. Thanks for the pics Wrighty, but road going car pics just dont suit banger model's in game but I appreciate you looking. Was thinking about that strip myself the other day and there is a good chance im gonna whack one on anyway a couple shots of the car in game using a very quick mapping with the old template which im not to impressed with! (My mapping that is!). Ignore the placement of the wheels, just wanted to put it in game for now until it's mapped properly. [attachmentid=8219] [attachmentid=8220] Bonebuster in a couple of weeks with a few drivers bringing a couple of cars so hopefully there will be a Capri in amongst it
