Hi all, Im sure I've had this before, when a box pops up it's just a 'computer generated noise' instead of the genuine XP sound. Im also sure it's and easy fix of updating the sound drivers for the mobo, but I cant rememebr how to find the details of the mobo through the comp as I cant find the paperwork for it at the moment. Any help appreciated, Dazzler

I agree with that quote Sparky, there are quite a few 'bog standard' issues wrong with that car and it doesnt surprise me it folded that bad after the hit. No taking away from the follow in, it was bloody hard and bloody fast and would have left it a mess anyway but I dont beleive it would have been quite as bad for the driver as it looks had a few things been in place.

I thought the tractor incident was a Champions of Champions meeting at smeatharpe in 95 with the sadly missed Polo. After the antics of some of the squad drivers including Polo, they were loaded up but due to the crowd/drivers demands, they were allowed to race the next race! Shane Brown won it, the Suicide Squad wrecked it! enough said! Ah, the good old days.......

Have you tried updating your BHCM when going to test the car??

No you're probably right it wouldnt be hard, but without the original track files it's impossible to change it without re-modelling it!

Ok, I havent bought a DVD recorder yet as I have been told I can do it through my Mini DV camcorder?? Just connect the leads to the back of the video with a scart adapter and then record the footage onto the tape without any loss of quality.? Anyone heard of this? Dazza

There is no font for that, it's something the signwriters just paint themselves.

Hello all, I have some old VHS tapes and wondered what I need and how to go about getting them onto the pc for editing and then burning? I've read about something called Dazzle, do I need to buy this type of product for the transfer? Dazza

I think you need to go to Gamedata then Vehicles Tom. Amazing track there, I race the V8 Super cars round there (Nearest thing to a banger ) and it really is awesome fun. Very well done to all concerned. Now, regards that Lada, I wonder if he would let someone strip it and whack a cage in it ............

You cant have fin plate interchangeable on cars as far as I know as each fin plate would need placing in different positions for the size of the car, E.g a fin plate on a Mk2 wouldnt be in the same place as a Ds420 limo, and there is no option in the physics.txt that will let you do this (been said already) As been said by Rik, a ''fin pack'' would also be needed and messing around with any sort of part.res changes is a very bad idea, especially if you want to race online.

It's the original hard drive that came with the computer Muns, I havent changed the jumpers on it so im guessing that it's still ok, although it's still booting up like that I think I'll just leave it alone as it seems to be working ok Dazza

Cheers for the advice so far. Dino - Downloaded that program and went through it and it seems to have got rid of the error message on start-up ( ), but it's still taking its time, although I admit it is slightly quicker. I went into bios and the hard drive is shwoing up to be connected on Slave 2. It looks a little bit like this: Master 1 Slave 1 Master 2 Slave 2 - This is where it's saying the hard drive is connected to, is that right? Master 3 Slave 3 Could there be a problem in there andifso, can anyone give any pointers on to what it should be? Dazza

Have just read somewhere that it could be something to do with the 'registery' files, would that also make sense on why I keep getting the error message on startup?

Hi all, My computer has got very very slow on start-up, once booted it's fine but it will probably take about 10 minutes before its fully functional (Not on really seeing as its not very old!). I've tried scanning for viruses through Norton, spybot etc etc and I have also used C Cleaner and changed the startup process on msconfig to cut down the amoutn of programs running on stratup but it doesnt seem to have made much difference. The hard drive really sounds like it is working hard when starting up for some reason, like I say, when its loaded it's A1, but its taking too long to get there! Any ideas to what I could do? Managed to cure the pop-up problem with NAV2007, so thanks for that suggestion. Just need to sort this error on startup now

IE spam pop-ups And that doesnt sounds good courty Ive got AVG running flat out and although it picks some things up it wont seem to cure the problem

To create a .car file, you will need a version of Max 3 or use the converters (although I have no experience on using the converters). There are some tutorials about, and some related to how you are modelling a car aswell, I will have a look and see if I can find them. Dazza

Hi all, Anyone know why I get this error message on start-up? It will flash up 3 or 4 times straight after each other and im not sure what to do about it (If anything?). Also, Im getting some really annoying Explorer pop-ups, I havent had chance to search back through the pages here for some suggestions but does anyone have an easy fix? Many thanks, Dazza
