I think you should finish it mate, being hand made signs they look really good. I could possibly shorten up a Mk2 in max for you just for a render if you wanted, you would have to finish the skin first though

To be honest, the principals of Paintshop and Photoshop is the same, but i find Photoshop much easier to use yet it seems more powerful then Paintshop. For instance the wavey text, in Photoshop you type a word, then click warp text, and there are loads of preset styles that you text will go to, without having to draw lines all over the place first. Although maybe some people like PSP better, suppose its down to personal preference, who am I to say As for the Dh420 hearse, what i originally thought isnt there, so you will have to put it in game and see whats what, sorry about that. Cant say for sure without looking (on laptop at the moment) but is there a layer you may have hidden which explains what is what. If not, ill take a look for you and post up what they are I dont use Paint Shop Pro because i think it rubbish! so i cant help you with that Dazza

Think its Gough's skin and he asked Chops to render it (maybe wrong), both done nicely though

Scrappy has got renders of Trash's World final winning 280c, although i have now re-done that car, and if Scrap wanted to, he could do Trash's skin onto that, let me know

Been messing abit more, not to dis-similar to the other one, but i have learnt alot more with this one, and i think it is better the the other one. The pink in the picture is the catch fence, which is an alpha texture, basically in game you would only get the wire fence (see through like real catch fence) but when rendered Max needs a background (Thanks to hooty for the help on Alpha textures) and think this is the one I will try and get into game first. Had a few problems with getting the old one into game (thanks to James for the help) But i have got files all over the place, which means my folders need a good tidy up before i attempt that again. Also need to find my Microsoft Office Disk which has Excel on it, another problem I have stumbled across!

I havent got Mod Launcher, but would have a guess as to all it does is save some space on you desktop really, and all the files are in one place???? If you are that desperate to race mate, why not just use the UkDirtBanger icon that gets copied to your desktop??

In theory , you wouldnt have to alter the speed of the car to make it faster, all you have to do is perhaps make the tyres slightly wider for example and it would give you more grip in the corners, hence more speed. There are plenty of little tricks you can do to a car to make it quicker, but would almost certainly result in a cheat message, so if he didnt have a cheat message them im pretty sure it was a good,clean, honest lap. Quite possible that it is a pukka time, especially if its one of Cunny's setups, however it would really take some doing i feel to get that sorta of time online. (For instance i have never seen Cunny getting those sorts of time there, and he is a fast driver) Were there any cheat messages then?

Ive had 14.0's in a Mk1 and 280c Edit: Sorry mis-read post, I have had 14.0's offline, quickest online i think were in the 14.1's, havent really race Unlim 1 cars there much so cant quite remember Scrappy is probably the quickest about so i think he would know best. Who set that time online?

When i finally got my 256mb card installed, Polygon Rate was still bottleneck so to be honest I wouldnt read a great deal into that.

yes dazza they are very similiar,they do handle better but it takes a gd driver to drive the old tinas and capris and better to watch imo Definately! Would rather watch 20 Cortina's/Capri's racing about then 40 Bluebirds!

Thanks for the kind words. At the moment im still very much in the learning stage, so possibly be a week or two until i have a track you can 'race' on so to speak. The track is called 'Basic', appropriate i think seeing as thats what it is! The Wet track is a tricky one. I beleive that it isnt possible to actually make the track wet was such, the only was you can really do this is make the grip levels of the track lower. I know Nick looked into this on the Mod Squad forum as I have read the post! and im sure he had the idea of trying to make the track surface look shiny, although im not sure what Nick and Oleg came up with, the physics part of it went way over my head as i have limited knowledge of what is what on tracks. Im also currently trying to get 'insides of the cars working, you can see what i mean from the pic. Just trying to make the bangers look abit better if nothing else!

sorry i ment Mondeos common as muck but never used sierra are very soft imho,built and good few pro stocks for cowdie and thats only tap and spin and they dont last long at all  as bangers noway  there has been a mondeo used think at kings lynn it was I have seen a few Mondeos used at Crimond. From what I have seen in the Crimond bangers, the Sierra's handling leaves alot to be desired. They seemed to have that "snaking" effect. The Cavaliers are better. Vauxhall know how to make a car with half-decent handling. I personally would have thought (although maybe wrong as i dont have the chance to race bangers, but people have said this to me) that a Sierra handles better then a Cortina or Capri as they have independent suspension and not a solid axle, similar to a Granada. But who am i to say

Too true mate, was still a hard hit, still cant get my head round why people take out Sierra's in unlimiteds

One of the best I have seen was 162 Brett Ellacott on the Figure of 8 at Smeatharpe a few years ago. 556 Pete Hollis dared to take out a Sierra and then stopped just before the cross over, as he got going again Brett picked him up flat out with his Granada and followed him in, the impact was something else, both cars going into the air, the Sierra snapping nicely and Brett driving off. Hollis got out ok Got a pic somewhere of Hollis's car, will try and find it. Another was 57 Basher Broad, also at Smeatharpe. He followed in 170 Dave Brown's Sapphire into Smeatharpe's pit bend plating so hard that it snapped the top of the fencepost off. The pic of the car is attached.

Would you have a link to the DOS where you can put it on a USB stick, just incase we wanted to format the hard disk if something did go wrong? Or is it the same as the normal floppy disk stuff, only save it to the stick instead?

Ok, thankfully, its not my computer/laptop this time! My Mum bought an Acer laptop from Tesco about 3 months ago, which for the money looked fairly good value. We have had no trouble with it what-so-ever until last week when it froze. Now, whenever you go to turn it on, it just comes up with ''Operating System can not be found''. I have tried running the System Recovery disk's from BIOS, but as usual they are about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe. Any ideas as to what it could be lads?? Sounds like a similar problem I had with my PC, the only way i got over that was to buy a new hard disk drive, so does it sound like mum will have to do the same with this? Any help would be more then appreciated Dazza

Just to ask, Hog has mentioned he downloaded the demo to which he is trying run the game off of. I didnt think it was possible to run any mod unless it was the full version of Nascar Heat. If it is why the hell did i pay 20 odd quid for my disk! Or have i missed the point of this thread?
