  1. Is a Fiat Seicento the same as a Yugo 145? but both as bad as each other?
  2. I seem to remember a conversation about hairdresser's cars on the way to Brum on Saturday night (when we should have gone to Ipswich...or even Ringwood for you!) and you said Boardley's looked nice....... They look like womens cars on the road and sorry but worse on the track!!! What a mistake....where is the image of boy racers going?
  3. OMG - this is not Ludlow's old car is it? Carl Boardley has gone down in my estimations now, he has got a hairdressers car now!
  4. Jason Cooper's new 482 superstox as featured in Short Circuit in May....cost a reputed £20,000+ to build. And unlike Poulter's sorry Minime's superstox Cooper's was not on the pace from the off! Go F2 racing if you have that sort of money, or even F1s!
  5. Its been announced that the 1995 Hot Rod World Champion Ian McKellar Jnr is making a one off comeback at Foxhall this Saturday in the spare Audi TT of Chris Haird. McKellar jnr turned his back on Hot Rods after on a couple of seasons in order to persue his racing career ambitions. He has on his way to SCSA driven in British GTs, TVR Tuscans (champion), Eurocars and a few other cars I can't remember (lol) Shame I'm racing at Birmingham so am unable to go and watch the action at Foxhall, whcih kicks off at 6pm. On another note the top 4 qualifiers for the World are Ricky Hunn, Malcolm Blackman, Steve Thompson and Simon Bentley. I fancy Bentley as an outside bet for the title, after a cracking season, though the perfection and 4 new tyres (allowed for race) could see a procession of perfection with Blackman and Thompson nose to tail. Has anyone got any views?

  7. I like it Mav!!!! How about " Is that what a yellow roof looks like?"
  8. Would this be the car? Insider pic of the car in the workshop, based around the Poulter Superstox chassis..........
  9. More attractive?
  10. I might be there too, not sure if I'm classified as one of the six above.....depends on if the car is running, though Firestorm will be using my mechanic pass if I do take the stock car....however Budge, I will pay for you to get in on Sunday, its all i could do after the hlep you gave me earlier in season. Leasj1, He was banned from all formulae up until last weekend following his involment with in the smith/morphey punch up with Billy Woods on April 23rd at Foxhall.......Julian Smith made his return on Saturday night to the 1300 stocks (and I got my sparco gloves and balaclava back which I thought I'd never see again from him!!!) also following his ban!!!
  11. My trailer proudly carries a UK Dirt plate....Thanks JB!
  12. Well Done Jay..... Team Pants on tour seem to be running pretty well these days!!! Is the tour headed to Belgium this weekend? Could we see the Continental Cup on the bonnet of the 427 car?
  13. Not wanting to spread rumours on the internet, so this is said with caution and is as factual as we were made aware today.... The Legends drivers meeting (at NIR) was informed of Steve's death by Paul Gerrard, Director and Meeting Steward of Incarace and he asked for the drivers to pay their respects to a fellow oval racer. He also informed us that the cause of the crash was due to the throttle cable sticking open. RIP Steve Spinks
  14. Couldn't agree more with Budge! Hope you're 100% again soon m8 ........sorry make that 95%, cos there is 5% of that brain that can NEVER be sorted!
  15. Roy Eaton of Spedeworth Intl. (East Anglia) Ltd. has confirmed the very sad news that Steve Spinks (V8 Stock Car 505 ) was killed in a an accident at Yarmouth Stadium on Sunday 29th May. Roy sends his condolences to Steve's family. I'd like to send my condolences too, although I don't know the man and neither was I there, but when an oval racer dies doing something he loves, it touches a heart string and makes you realise that the sport that you partake in (either one side of the fence or the other) is a dangerous one. Steve - I'm thinking of you!
  16. Well spotted!! yes I did 2 laps of the first race.... and yes knobby the car is for sale with the trailer or will swap both for a 4 wheeled brian james type trailer.
  17. I defeated Vader! He said my mind was more powerful than he had anticipated and after 20 questions a king of some sorts came and helped the man in black, but after 10 more questions he gave up and I defeated the dark side!!!! My item was a green cabbage Excellent link m8!
  18. They do when it is followed in so hard it takes to the air!
  19. Did 2 laps of the first lap and encountered a few problems, so loaded the car up and watched the meeting, good racing! Sam Holland was flying and won all 3 races! Car is now up for sale before I get a hiab and skip it! (nice idea Pants827!)
  20. I wouldn't go on Sunday as there is no racing then m8! LOL Plus I'm not racing at the meeting now, as the car is not race ready and nor will be in time. Gd luck yourself on Monday.
  21. STOCK CAR NEWS ============ Well the car having been been repaired with what we thought (OK it was my plan) was a good idea on how to fix the different gearbox into the polo for Bovingdon last sunday left the 105 Stockcar a sitting duck on the pit bend when the 3rd forced spin of the final (and only race that I made!) with a broken clutch bracket on the gearbox housing. Possibly a good thing as one of the water pipes had come off too, leaving the engine dry and hot, something I realised that I don't have time to look at the guage!!! Well all credit to Firestorm this week as I dropped the car off at his house on Tuesday night and during this week has almost managed to fix the car ready to take to Swaffham on Saturday. Fingers crossed the last bit of welding that needs completing to fabricate a clutch bracket will work tomorrow and we'll be able to race. Double crossing of the fingers that we manage to keep the car going all night and bring it home for the first time still in a driveable conditon so we can have Sunday off before heading south to a local meeting at Eastbourne. If you are at either meeting come and say hello. CHRIS PYE MOTORSPORTS EXPANDS TO 2ND CAR ================================ On another front the team has expanded this week with the purchase of a Hot Ford, the Mk2 XR2 is in good nick and was built by one of the top teams of recent years. There is a a full stock rod cage in the car that is worth almost as much as I paid for the car! So we will be heading upto the midlands for 6 meetings this year and hopefully will be able to keep it straight and hopefully get some success for all the hard work! The parts seem easy enough to get hold off with some major bargins on ebay! I'm currently winning a bid for a bonnet (as a spare lol) for 99p which hopefull will be mine tomorrow. I will be investing in a half decent sprayed paintjob on this car in order to make the car look that bit nicer. So there will be a nice UK Dirt logo on the bonnet along with a plug for N&A Engineering on the boot! NEW IMPROVED WEBSITE UNDER DEVELOPMENT =============================== As I type this, the website is undergoing a re-design to give a better quality feel to it (it was a rush job and not updated enough). I have purchased my first ever domain name and have gone to the ultimate .com level!!! So keep your eyes peeled on www.cpmotorsport.com for all the latest news on both cars.
  22. Dave what happened to your poodle then? Has tugs tamed it? Love the humour in the reports !!!
  23. Might need to see the video from Sat now to watch closely on a certain 329!!!!!!
  24. Well Done Jay! I was so absorbed in trying to get my car back together to race today, that the only race I watched was your final.....you didn't say when you came over to see if I was gonna make it....be proud! I'm on a downer having made the final (with wrong tyre pressures LOL) I managed to break the clutch cable bracket clean off the car during a 360 degree spin on the pit bend!!! Maybe wasn't a bad thing as a water pipe had come off and I was running dry and hot! Oh and picked up a punture on the trailer in the pits! Managed to pick up a rookie banger polo for £40 tonight thou, so hopefully gearbox is good still, so will get a few spares for the car.... See you at Eastbourne Jay Well Done again m8!
