  1. Even now I cannot believe that my Final race was over in under 2 seconds thanks to a fellow white - what was he thinking he was going to achieve?? Have a look and decide for yourselves - Answers on a postcard please Video Highlight
  2. Fearing the worse from practice, I had no hope of completing a lap let alone a race!! Decided to take it steady, and found that for me, slower was faster!! Once I had got the hang of it I was ok until cars started to force past me, and with the wall not being solid, I was riding up it and losing control. Heats were ok, 8th and a 9th, happy with. In the final, I decided to follow Budge for as long as possible and see how it went. Yes I did curse Mike #315 for leaving his car on track, but then I thought it happens in real life and it gave me a sense of realism that I had to remember his car was there, so must avoid it. Unfortunately dunno how, but I did hit it, and I dropped to the back of the field, trying my hardest to keep my damaged car going, staying out of the way hoping to creep into the top ten. It wasn't to be. In the GN, I got a break and lead, felt good!!! I then was caught and passed by a couple of drivers but I was holding station. When Drum came past I was trying to get close enough to put him wide and into Mike's yet again stranded car, but I missed and hit it myself!! But I survived only to to Budge do exactly what I wanted to do!!! This is why I was ok with Mike stranded car, because if say a yellow top put Sworder wide into a dead car, the crowd would go bananas - no different here!!! All in all, in retrospect I enjoyed it, although at the time I found it hard going. 12 points makes it a success for me, but not sure about it possibly meaning an upgrade as I am enjoying it at white Great stuff from Budge all night - Well Done Sir!! Never raced Scunthorpe, so its probably going to be a "Nil" score.
  3. For winning two Finals in the grading Period, along with some other decent results - Fast-Track #527 None of the meetings have had any type of luck for me, but for sheer enjoyment of just being on track and trying hard and accomplishing a race finish was Scunthorpe. The other tracks for me were disappointing, with only Ipswich coming close to Scunthorpe as I actually moved off "Nil Points" there.
  4. He does allow me to have a lunch break Spike lol i thought you had blown it at that point mav, was hand over eyes moment lol. You and me both m8 - But I didn't panic like I usually do and end up just spinning on the spot, so I am learning
  5. Opted for my Buxton Setup as this had the least amount of arsiness, which meant it pushed on in the bends thus having to wait for it to pull round before booting it out of the bends. Felt comfortable and was ok, so I left alone during the meeting (any looser and I would have been spinning all the time!). Heat 1 stayed out of trouble and kept going and was rewarded with 9th and ONE POINT!!!! Off the mark Heat 2 got forced to the back, but head one cracking lap with two belting hits, couldn't believe I did them and held on, but eagerness/stupidity took over and I went for a third hit which was too far ahead and on contact spun and so did Marten, sorry m8. Consi was all about holding on, and with the added pressure of Tosh watching, I took it steady but still managed to spin after putting a wheel on the curb!! 7th though got me into my first final of the season. Final, I was looking forward to, but as usual my luck never holds in the opening laps and Spike swipped my front end into a tyre, and race effectively over. Got going again only for a superstar pile up on straight, backed right off (must've been doing only 20-30mph) and hit Dazza on the back bumper which immediately spun the car and I was straight when I hit him After that it was just a case of staying out of the way and racing with Dave until he made his error and left me to circulate on my own. GN, can't remember much about it, just that I was at the back again within a few laps. Tried to catch up but to no avail. So all in all, not a bad performance and quite enjoyable. Looking forward to my white roof in a fortnight (may not do Cov as I don't get on with it). Cya soon.

    BUXTON RESULTS

Really didn't feel comfortable driving Buxton, and with the cars breaking so easily, I didn't want my mistakes to cost somebody their race. It was too easy to spin either towards the fence or onto the centre green, yet as I took my time not to do these things I found my lap time was 1 and half seconds slower than any other white and almost 2 seconds off the quickest. More practice and setup tweaking required before venturing out here again. Well Done Robin, but where was Aub in the GN??? Hope you all enjoyed the meeting, but i'll be back to try again at Barford, but I think it maybe the same scenario!!!

    BUXTON RESULTS

Definately not a fan of Buxton, won't be racing there again. Just not for me. My zero goes on.
  9. Only just got round to reading it. I would say that I appreciate the time taken to do these, and fully enjoy reading, but I doubt I will post everytime I have read one unless I have a comment to make. It is certainly better to read something like this than a boring plain post on the forum, and I am grateful that we are getting feedback in response to grumblings amongst the members. Keep them coming guys, although the response maybe miniable, doesn't mean we don't enjoy reading them!

    F2ooz weekly

Nice one Tosh !!! Short, sweet and to the point - Brilliant roundup of the evenings events. Shame I spun myself in the Final, as I may have pipped Spike to the Driver of the Meeting, but something to aim for in the next meeting!!! Keep them coming m8. ps Nezza I think the rFactor films will be too large to put on here - I could be wrong, so I may give it a try if I get time.
  11. After joining practice at 7:30, to find my setup from a previous meeting was over 1.5 seconds slower than the top guys was a bit disheartening!!! It handled like a bag of bolts and often ended with it being in bits after spinning or being hit. I had no idea what to change, so I loaded another setting from a different track, went out and voila - less than half a second down on the top guys AND I could handle it better. The more I practiced the more confident I got, and only thing that I was not sure on was racing in traffic. Lined up for first heat and set off well, but clipped Lars550 and spun into tyres, tried to reverse out slowly but still clipped Nezza. Got back into the race 12th but finished 8th - Chuffed to bits. Second heat, was racing for the lead with Spike Jnr, finally getting by to lead until IanStep caught me, started to go backwards and showed too much ass to Tosh who couldnt resist but to touch it round I went, but I managed to get going in 7th but finished 8th again. Still Chuffed. Final I was looking forward too, opening laps and I couldn't catch Budge for the lead, but after a few more laps Budge crashed out and I lead, but then disaster, I was out of the running, and I couldn't get back into it and finished 14th I think. Sorry to Pedz whom I pushed into a tyre, which I didn't mean but it certainly looked like I did. Sorry m8. GN, started from the front with Budge, and had great opening laps which included me passing Budge around the outside My lead didn't last long as Aub caught and passed me, but by now I was really on it and determined to stay up there. Nezza caught me and passed me, but my eagerness to get passed him without taking myself out, saw me catch Nezza's back wheel and spin him Sorry Nezza, not what I wanted to do - however I was 2nd again and shortly after Aub had slowed and I passed him around his outside. Again it was short-lived as Aub powered past and onto the flag and I held off Spike to take a jubilent 2nd place - What a Buzz!!! So all in all a very good night for me
  12. I think my points should read "3". I only finished Heat 1 in the top ten and that was 8th.
  13. After a very succesful Birmingham, I'll give Kings Lynn a go Mav #641 White
  14. Having major laptop problems today - may not make it. No practice as yet either!!
  15. Wahoo - Still last in the points!!! New nickname - "Mr.Zilch" Not a bad night tonight, sorry for any indescretions, nearly made top ten, but least I have managed to finish my first race on the lead lap Well Done Fast Track. Next stop narrow Buxton - let the moaning begin (and not from me either!!!)
  16. Can anyone please advise me as to why my game crashes every time I race an online GN?? Happened at Scunthorpe, Birmingham and now Sheffield. I enclose a screen print of what the error says. I can go back to the race but obviously I am a lap down then (nothing new there tho!!) and I dont know if I have affected anyone. Any help or ideas would be grateful.
  17. Just got in, so with no preparation I had best not try it; so Booking out - Sorry.
  18. Provisional Booking Please. Depends how practice goes Don't wanna upset anyone.
  19. Good of you and Admin to take suggestions on board - Great to see - Thanks I agree that after 18 months I should have got used to the server numbers by now, but as you stated the last time that enough cars attended for us to warrent using both servers all night was may 2008, so I guess for me it was just strange to be popping back to chat prior to each race being called and two of them at that!! I will try and be more vigilant in future but adding the .90 or .91 will certainly help. My suggestion for A Finals would be to like the grid up in "Performance of the night order". front row should contain the consi winners, which would place more emphasis on getting through, then the lowest heat points scorers at the front working back to the highest heat point scorers. This should give a fair reflection of the nights racing. No-one could try and work the grades as you do not know the cut off mark to get through from the heats and anybody leaving it till the consi just to get a front row start is being very brave!!! If the consi is deemed to be an easy route, especially for yellow grade drivers, then place them at the back of the grade. Either way they are on the grid and should be grateful!!! Great work though guys see you at Sheffield
  20. My second mare in two weeks, this time on my favoured tarmac. In practice, I felt confident even when I was on track with 20 other cars, I was pushed, t-boned, tagged, the lot, but my car stayed true and I enjoyed the ride. I then found that the tyre wear for the track was set wrong and all that hard work in getting a setup to fit the track was compromised. In the meeting, I then found my setup pushed on, the rear end would step out causing spins, and it didn't run as true as the practice sessions. The slightest touch from another car sent my car off at a tangent causing me to be demoted to last in every race I was in. (I once again apologise to those who were caught up in my forced excursions across the grass etc.) Very frustrated with my evenings racing, as practice promised so much and by that I mean at least one top ten placing!!! I will keep trying though Two critisms I have from last night: 1) I don't think the heats were mixed enough, as I agree it was great to see so many drivers racing, but a good handful I never got to race against all night. And to make it worse I got stuck with Harold!!!! 2) I realise that this was mostly my error, but could the RM please make it clear which server is for which race, by actually putting SERVER .91 not SERVER 1 etc. My misinterpretation of Server 1 for Server .91 meant that I missed the B Final, and I wasn't the only one!!!!! An answer to someones question earlier about flooring it when spun, I do do it but for several reasons, a) In the hope that it can pull round without affecting others to try and maintain a position b) to get the car moving out of the way of the oncoming traffic c) Sheer frustration that I have lost control. I did however spin at Brum and just stayed still and miraculously no-one hit me!! Anyway, keep it up guys and be great to see you at Sheffield on 25th
  21. Hope I didn't interfere with anyones race, tried to stay out of the way!!! Was chuffed to survive the races only 1 lap adrift, but was hoping to hold onto 10th in the GN, but with two to go, my wife came into the room and spoke and frit the life out of me, and I subsequently spun!! Don't think I would have held Tosh off for 10th anyway, but happy to have been near to scoring a point (unless only top 8 score of course!!) Last in the National Points at this stage is an achievement, but as they say, "The only way is up!!!" Well Done to Fast Track #527, blue next week or is that just F2's??? Congrats to all winners, enjoyed the meeting, well run Mike. Should see you all next week at Birmingham - Hope not to be lapped there!

    ARENA RESULTS

Apologies to those who I caused grief for last night. My lack of preparation caused me alot of problems which invariably was passed onto others whilst I was on track. Heat one I ended Kendo's race right at the start by spinning in front of him causing him to sustain damage - sorry. Heat two after spinning as soon as I hit the accelerator, I was last but got into a rhythm and felt ok. Aub passed me and I decided to have a bit of fun, by cruising into the bend and pushing him wide, he lost a small amount of time, but the following bend I wanted to leave him to his race but I was pushed onto Aub causing him to go wide again. He then took it out of me, broke my car and that was that. I left as it was obvious to me that when I wish to have a bit of fun, others are annoyed about it, but the other way round I have to accept it. After all it was a test meeting, so I was testing things!!! As for the cars, not too sure about them yet, but as I said before, a little more preparation I may do better.
  23. I hope to be there, so provisional for me - Mav #641 - White
  24. Is this the first meeting of the season or is it a pre-season meeting to get used to the new pshyics??????
  25. Mav #525 - Yellow - Doesn't matter which track, never raced at either hence no setup!! lol
