Passed my driving test in early 1985... Had been driving around on my provisional with L plates since I turned 17 in my MK1 Escort 1.3 GXL!!! Can still remember quite vividly going into my work the next day, as I'd taken a days holiday in order to sit my test and also hadnt told ANYONE...(just incase I'd failed ) as pleased as punch, whereupon the service manager at the local Ford dealership I worked then saying "perfect" you can go and do a dealer transfer and save me taking a time served mechanic off the tools. I then had to drive a brand spanking new Escort Ghia through to our dealership in Edinburgh and swap it for a brand new Orion Injection Ghia!! To say I was a touch nervous would be the understatement of the century but after driving through whilst talking to myself I somehow manged it incident free!!! Since then Ive had a fair few Fordies(MK1s 2s Anglia,Cortinas Capris etc etc) and now with me "maturing" in years I'm now the owner of a 1.9 Diesel Scenic....... Andymek.

Just stumbled across this thread Some fantastic drawings being done!! Would anyone be willing to knock one up for me please? I reckon summit like that would be a crackin design for a T-Shirt Andymek... P.S Incase anyone would like to see the "inspiration" for Marcs drawing, here it is, I think you'll all agree its an excellent pic.

Here's what I've got, hope they're of some use to ya!! Dunno if the 871 car's the one youre looking for though
-
Thats what I did Courty as I've no mates There are single car teams available still I think, but it also allows you to take a team that consists of 2 cars Pity the game didnt allow you to set yer car up n have a praccy so that no-one can see your lap times, as mines were a tad embarrasing to say the least!! Beginning to think my mechanic dont like me as he's feeding me duff information, or is it more the fact i aint clever enough to adjust what he tells me perhaps

Very Interesting indeed!!! Have registered and received an e-mail confirming this, and I'm no further forward!! Will have to spend a while havin a good read of all the info before I can even attempt at havin a go Was havin a chuckle to myself when I viewed the crash helmets peeps can design and submit and one in particular stuck out A certain Mr Stu Harris, (They say you can take the man out of the bangers, but you cant take the bangers out of the man) Magnificent signwriting there Stu!! Hope to be joinin you all in the very near future!! Andymek.
