  1. Thats awesome! wd guys.
  2. I'm not sure what to say on the contact side of things, its much easier to get a clean hit on someone in the F2s than it is in F1s, but I don't really think its a problem in F1s as you can do it with a little bit of patience and precision, much the same as real life really. One thing I have noticed is that people on both F1 & F2 seem to be able to hit the back wheel of the car in front much easier than the bumper, which is not true to real life, i'm no sure why that is though. Good meeting I thought, certainly not expecting the final win, although very happy with it, as that means I've won the first official 'in season' UKDirt final in both rFactor F1 and rFactor F2 now, something I'm very proud of. Thanks for the meeting Aub and his helpers. Kruiz
  3. I expected this to be a somewhat ruder topic with a title like that Aub lol
  4. You've got a new car, well Hutchs old one lol
  5. Hmm maybe I should get to work on a new one I feel left out lol
  6. I'm not sure how to explain this but I'll try. Assign the highlighted line as a button. Then go down and assign all the ones that start with 'Cam' Write them down until you get used to them as there is loads. Go to a replay. Use the view you have been, but press the one I highlighted above. The camera will then stop following the cars, it will be static. Now use your assigned Cam buttons to move around, pan, zoom etc, does that make sense?
  7. Good pics mate just a tip though, if you assign the free cam as a button, mine is F3 although I'm not sure if that's default, probably not, you can roam around the track and position the camera where you want so you can get better positioned angles, also theres zoom in and out, pan left, right, up and down aswell as tilts, if you have a play about and look to see what buttons are assigned in your configuration you'll find them.
  8. I thought it was a hard but fair hit from where I was watching, the thing is, you were on the outside, walker was inside, side by side, and as Trav comes up the inside with force, that makes it 3 wide, so it would have been difficult for you not to hit the fence under those circumstances. I can understand your frustration but he didn't take either of you out of the race, and it was the last corner for a win so you have to expect big hits in that situation, there will always be another for you to win, thats how I look at it after that sort of thing.
  9. Its a tough one mate, its easily done especially when your pushing hard, but I try my best not do spin the car in front because I can only expect the same back, and I like to keep my nose clean. I personally think that getting inside the car in front and hitting them in a way in which will definately cuase a spin is really quite dirty, I woudn't even try it purposefully for a last bender. All I can really say is that if you have any complaints please send a pm to a member of the admin team so we can review the accident. We are taking these things very seriously and had 3 or 4 complaints from Ipswich which we have reviewed and applied disciplinary points where neccasary. You might think that only causing someone to hit the fence is against the rules, it isn't, this is a common misconception but DELIBERATE TAKE OUTS are too, and if you are deemed guilty of one, you will be punished accordingly. Onto the meeting itself, I had a blinder, my first official UKDirt F1 tarmac win ever, and it came with a top scorer in a meeting I thoroughly enjoyed, been a while since I've been able to say that . I had a good race with someone or another in every race, recieved no over the top hits and as such didn't need to dish out any, all very enjoyable. Race of the day was heat 3, and I wasn't even in it!! I watched Dode and Walker battle it out all race long, think who will it? Dode, no Walker, no Dode has got it now, oh no Walker has, but then going into the last corner, who's that? Only Trav who puts them both in on the last corner, with a hard but fair hit and takes his first? rFactor F1 win, well done. Johno was also in amongst it making it a 4 car dash for the line, best race of the season so far I would think, well done guys, and everyone kept it fair. Thanks Kev for running the meeting, appreciated as always. Kruiz
  10. Ah cool, i'll look into that too then. I've got two old spare speakers that came with my very first PC all those years ago walker, they work, but I'm looking to remove roof tiles and maybe the front door lol
  11. I've got a surround system on the main TV which is rarely used, but the connections look totally different?
  12. LOL Knobby, ok I'm sold They do look like the best ones I've seen so far for reasonable money, £50 on amazon, and virtually all positive reviews.
  13. Cool cheers, aye £100 is a lot closer to the mark.
  14. Ta guys think I've got a rough idea of what sort of quality the watts rating needs to be now. I was looking at the Gigaworks S750, but after seeing almost a quarter of the comments about them on amazon were 'Excellent quality, very loud, until the subwoofer blew up two months after purchase, due to overheating' one even catching fire, I decided I can spend £300+ on better things than them. Having looked on ebay for them, an astounding amount come without the subwoofer.. I wonder why. I can't afford a fancy set-up like those above just now anyway, so I'll see whats avaliable in 2 speakers + combination I think with the highest watt racing I think for now. I've got a decent sound card, but I think my headphones blew that up as the SRS Surround feature on the headphones stopped working about 2 months after I bought them, but it still works for my mp4 player, so I'm pretty sure its using the intergrated sound on the motherboard now. Don't you love it when things just.. work.
  15. OK cheers mate, it'll be no good having it lieing around in jerry cans in my garage for weeks like I've had it either then? lol
  16. Hi all, after now blowing both my speakers up that came with PC, I'm basically looking for some speakers for my PC that have good quality, and most importantly blow the roof off my house when the volumes turned up a little I live in a detached house, so Ideally need it loud enough to annoy the neighbours after the F2 has run out of petrol I understand that higher frequencies means they will go louder? Although I don't know how high the frequencies go to, and most of the desktop PC speakers that you see look really small, so what sort of specs am I looking at to be able to play my music very loud? Sorry to sound a bit vague on this but I don't really have a clue in this field. Thanks.
  17. I adjusted the levels and contrast, hopefully Allstar doesn't mind, is this any better?
  18. I think Bradford is the final meeting of the first grading period, although I'm not 100% sure.
  19. Thanks for the help all. Cabs, do you mean if the fuel is stood for a while at the pump (less busy stations) it may not be as good? I live on an A Road which is the main route into Crewe, and its always busy, if that is what you mean.
  20. This Thursdays meeting sees the BriSCA F1s head to Bradford's Odsal Stadium for another night full of fast and furious racing. There is no World Championship Qualifier, or National Series round at this meeting, that isn't to say there is nothing worth racing for, points will go towards the grading points table, plus Tarmac masters points to play for and Grand National points. This is a great oppotunity for less experienced drivers to get involved and get some laps in a real race situation, while the racing is a little less heated than normal. The track is easy to drive, and has plenty of room on the corners to let faster drivers by if your not quite up to speed yet, making this track an ideal training ground, it was certainly one of the first tracks I got to grips with. The meeting will see a slightly different format than usual, to keep things interesting. This format runs as follows: Drivers who book in will be split into 3 groups according to their average for the season. Group 1 will be a third of the drivers with the highest average, Group 2 will be a third of the drivers who's average is in the middle, and Group 3 will be a third of the drivers with the lowest average. Each driver will race in 2 heats. Heat 1: Group 3 and Group 2, Heat 2: Group 3 and Group 1, Heat 3: Group 2 and Group 1 The top 24 points scorers will qualify for the final, which will be gridded as a normal final, run over 20 laps. The remaining drivers will be put in a B-Final. There will be no consolations at these meetings. Each driver will then race a Grand National race Bookings are being taken on the ukdirt website for this meeting which has an 8pm start time. I hope to see you there.
  21. Its quite a large file (36mb) have you got msn or something?
  22. Thanks guys, I'm tanked up with Tescos finest just now ( lol) but will consider a better brand next time then Got a BP over the road will BP ultimate stuff do?
  23. I need some of that cvl too I think, does it come highly recommended or what?
  24. Hehe we could do with doing that to the roof too, but can't be bothered so I'll just cope with being a little too close to the pedals lol We did put the seat cover in though when we moved our seat back & up or would have had the same problem lol Know what you mean with the funding, I'm in the red already lol oh well keep soldiering on it aint gonna stop me, might have a graphics card for sale soon though How much more you got to do Iron?
  25. No problem, I'm sorry its not more silly idea for 8th 9th and 10th to all score 1 point in my opinion. I was especially annoyed with it as a low grader to only get 1 point after fighting to hold on for 8th, but I believe its like that in real life too. Average meeting at 35 points (top scorer) and a final win Walker?? You've got high standards lol I'm over the moon with 31 points and top 3 in the final!!
