Awesome stuff Johno well worth the wait.
-
I spoke to him on Sunday and had the best of intentions to have it out for Sunday evening, but also mentioned he had to do some paper marking too so I'm sure it will be out as soon as he can make time to finish it
-
Johno made it to Skeggy for the weekend, but didn't feel very well on Friday so theres been a slight delay, I'm sure it will be with you this week.

Good stuff Walker, really enjoyed the meeting, has to be my favourite track that we've raced on to date, I love hanging the tail out all the way around not knowing how close i'm getting to ripping a rear wheel off. Extreme and constant concentration needed all the way around to do well or disaster will definately strike. Good battles with various people during the night, most notably, with MoR and Mike #2.

I will but only because I'm a nice person really at heart lol

I agree Allstar, I don't like to see people with cancers but they surely know the risks, I don't even think girls with (excessive/fake) tans are attractive anyway. You can tell when people obviously spend hours a week on a sunbed, it looks terrible.

Yep new Sheffield is on the server, keep a look out for the download tonight. £45 made payable to my paypal account Lee > kruiz136@hotmail.co.uk or I'm doing a special offer on my entire setup folder for £170

If you're after fast, side by side bumper to bumper racing and plenty of action with unpredictable outcomes this is the meeting for you The clutch start classic has lawyas been one of the drivers favourite events in the year, and at a track like Sheffield that always produces top drawer racing, this is sure to be a meeting not to be missed. I've had some of my most memorable races at Sheffield since its original release last year, and I'm looking forward to more tomorrow evening. The meeting carrys National Series points once again, and its really close at the top, the competition is certainly hotting up. 8PM start time, see you there.

Shame mate There must be a reason the likes of Sworder, Kitson, Ford etc get rid of their tyres once down to 2mm tread but like you say I doubt the difference is such that it will make any difference to me at this stage, every lap I don't hit the fence is a success lol Ohh and the axle is a 4 link, the car is better than I could ever have expected really, when I was buying, all I was looking for was an F2 that looked fairly neat with an engine in it for hardly any money at all and every time I've learnt something new it seems to be fine lol Can't wait to get out in it again now.
-
Ta Mart, yeah I've had a look round on ebay and cheapest I've come accross is £45, still new. Its not going to stop me racing but all these things are adding up! lol and I'd rather spend it on tyres.. I'll keep a look out see if anything comes up in the next week I think before we need the trailer again.
-
Hello all, it has come to my attention (via my dad telling me the loud knocking coming from the trailer is no good) that the damper on the hitch of the trailer has worn out. Having a few problems coming accross one at any that I do find are £50+! Its an Al-ko S90 hitch, does anyone know of somewhere that do cheap trailer parts? And on a similar topic that came up while I've been looking, do trailer scrap/salvage yards exist? Where do old trailers go when they're finished with? lol Cheers
-
Oh right really? Are they not even worth getting for practising with as a complete newbie lol I've got one new one which I was intending to put on the right rear and fill the rest up with some part worns hopefully with 2mm+ tread left, maybe get one other new one as a spare for the right rear.
-
Ahh will have to check but I think mines is 4 link then, don't recall seeing a centre bar. Similar story with Jimmy then, only it was the engine, doh! I'll let him ellaborate lol

Awesome pics mate

The only thing I ever notice while racing is either light/bouncy contact or heavy contact ie hit the car infront and nothing happens. I've only ever seen the wheels on lock and sinking in replays really, very occasionally when racing but almost always in practise.
-
Shame, I actually did notice some warp when racing, untrue contact etc but thought it might of just been me.
-
Still not getting on with tarmac at all, looking forward to shale!
-
How many bones do you have to break to get that good?? Wish I could do that! Both are very impressive, but I think its more impressive using 'natural' stuff (buildings, rails, walls, trees etc) like in Bobberts vid.
-
I was cheering when they got stuck thats for sure! lol Andy was too quick for everyone again, I'm starting to wonder if hes got a 2nd engine hidden in there somewhere lol
-
Pfft always something isn't there! Haha ta for pointing that out

This weekend we head to the Dutch tracks of Sexbierum and Baarlo Short for what sounds like a specialist club and an expensive drink. However, I promise you it isn't, we are in fact going racing at what is probably the two most unqiue tracks, for the most unqiue night on the calender, to race a dirt and tarmac track in the same night, the first of only 4 shale/tarmac nights this year. Sexbierum always supplies very fast, and open races, with its wide corners, allowing for about 5 cars wide, and no fence to avoid, so you can be hit hard, go wide but build up the speed as you exit to be right back onto the bumper of the car who hit you for the straight. Baarlo Short, has a very side corner on turn 1 and 2 allowing for fast, almost flat out entry and exit, but then rememmber not to go shooting up the long straights for the full circuit, and take the diversion across the centre green, for a much slower very narrow corner which needs hard braking and a perfect line otherwise your going grass tracking!! The contrast between the two corners always catches out plenty of drivers making the track throw up some real suprise results for those who manage stay on track. Both meetings carry National Series points, so here is an update on the National Series. Currently in the Shoot out positions are as follows: Currently heading the National Series is TomD #112 with 155 points, so it will be interesting to see if he can stay there after a few more meetings at Super star grade. Second is Lee #531, with 137 points who is in exacly the same situation as TomD, having just been promoted from blue. JK #16 is in 3rd, with 134 points who is yet another lower grader to have a great start to the season and now finds himself up from yellow to red grade, but looks to have settled in well at Skegness. In 4th is myself with 125 points who is desperate to lead the points chart as soon as I can get there! MoR #137 is in 5th spot with 114 points after a good start to the season and will certainly looking to stay inside the top 6. The last spot for the shoot out currently belongs to Johno #3, despite being downgraded, and is certainly one of the faster blue grade drivers out there and will be looking to capatlise on this so don't be suprised to see him climbing further up the table in the next month. Just outside the Shoot out places: Walker #363 in 7th with 105 points and has just been upgraded, he will want to improve on this position and make the shoot out later on in the year but willhave to settle down into the blue grade quickly and see how it goes from there. The first driver to have not raced in all the rounds so far, sits in 8th who is Marten #291 with 85 points. Usually the fastest when he races, has more than enough capabilities to win the shoot out, but getting there will require more appearances from him. Fellow Dutch driver Mike #315 is in 9th with 82 points and has already shown he's far too good for yellow by cleaning up last week at the UK Open double header. With a whole month of yellow grade starts ahead of him, before an inevitable upgrade to blue or beyond he will want to seize the chance to score as many easy points as possible, and boost himself into the top 6. Tosh #8 sits in 10th, with 72 points and after partaking in all rounds so far its surprising not to see Tosh feature inside the top 6, but a poor (or unlucky as he will tell you ) start to the season by his standards has seen him downgraded to blue, but with blistering pace such as his, hes sure to score many points this month and climb the table. Another driver to have done all 5 rounds so far is Dode #151 and has 67 points which puts him in 11th position. Dode has had a good start to the season, and was upgraded to blue. He will certainly want to improve upon that and settle into the blue grade as soon as possible. Finally, the British champ Aub #188 is in 12th position after shaky start to the season he has scored 65 points, he has shown some good pace, but needs to pick up his consistentcy if he's to make the top 6. Tied in 12th with 65 points is Grasser #233, he was showing impressive pace last week, more than good enough for blue grade and would undoubtedlyfeature higher in the order if he had made his season debut earlier. There are of course many more drivers with National Series points, those are just the current main contenders, but with 17 rounds left before the shoot out, all that could well change. If you want to play your Shale or Tarmac joker at either of the rounds you will be albe to do so, just let an admin member know before the start of the meeting.
