  1. Hey guys, The last race of the season has been run and that means its time for the 2008 UKDirt rFactor F1 Awards. The DEADLINE will be: Wednesday 10th December at about mid day. Here are the catergories, you can vote in as many or as few as you want but the more the better really, so please take 10 minutes to take part. 2. Thanks to all who have laready been thakned, so thats pretty much everyone lol I'm still a bit gutted I had to miss 50% of the season, only racing the start amd end of the season, which also meant missing my Semi Final but those meetings I have done I've mostly enjoyed, especially on shale which is a bit of turn around considering in the Autumn Series I couldn't drive on the stuff. Hopefully I can be more regular next year, although I can't see it. I've really gone off tarmac too, so I suppose next years target is to find my enthusiam for the hard stuff again. I'm most poud of winning the first ever official rFactor F1 meeting final all the way back at the very first meeting at Belle Vue, and I think I also took the very first heat in the same meeting, so thats me in the history books lol. Nack then I was starting from blue, and just 1 week ago I won my second final but this time from the very back. Both on shale though, so will have to see if I can get one on the tar next year. Also look out for the rFactor 2008 Awards, which will be put together by myself again, after stupidly volunteering to do the job again!! lol Hopefully I'll have the thread up at some point next week when I get 10 mins. Cheers Kruiz
  3. Think I'd be available for it
  4. I like both teams of Ferrari and McLaren, but it wasn't Glocks fault either like you said, it was Toyota's fault, they left both their men out in the rain with slicks in case it didn't rain, but then if Glock had come in for intermediates, would he have been in the top 5 after a pit stop? Probably not. So was it Glock's fault? Nope, it was the rain's fault Hamilton won, so I guess you can blame mother nature. That was a gamble and Hamilton won by luck on the day. But motorsport oftenly comes down to luck, and Hamilton got it that day. Hamilton was a lucky (that day) but deserved winner.
  5. Well I can tell you its almost impossible and I was in much lesser powered track car lol But in the mean time of that commentry, it was starting to rain harder, you saw how it was at the end of the show, monsooning. The last 2 laps were very very wet, which was after he said, thos sector times will have been from the lap before, and they were fine. For the last 2 laps the dropped consderably, and so did his team mates Trulli, who was also on slicks.
  6. Except Trulli was also on the same pace as Glock, using the same car and tyres? Have you tried running any sort of car with slick tyres on a very wet surface, let alone a car with million brake horsepower lol, pretty sure its quite difficult. He would of been using the outside of the track as there is more grip there where the tarmac has not been smoothed off, the surface is more jagged providing more grip, but even so nowhere near as much as a grooved tyre would be getting, it would be like driving on ice.
  7. I can't believe you dont think he deserves it, he deserved it last year and was unlucky not to win it then, he has done just as much this year to deserve it. If the FIA actually punished the Ferrari team to the standard they punish the other teams, Massa wouldn't have had a chance anyway. Hamilton outbreaks himself on first corner as many do each and every race and gets a drive through penalty...then Massa cuts a corner and BLATENTLY swipes Hamiltons car to spin him out (M.Schumacher type move) and gets the same penalty?!?!?!...THEN not to do with Hamilton, Bourdais came out of the pit lane and took the inside line as he was in front of Massa and was racing for position, Massa goes wide and cuts in across Bourdais car and takes himself out, and Bourdais gets a 25 second penalty...WTF!! Anyways enough complaining about the FIA lmao. Well done to Hamilton, I knew he could do it. Last few laps at Brazil were epic! P00'd myself when Vettel passed Lewis and shouted the house down when he passed Glock lool. Roll on 2009!!! C'MON HAMILTON!!! Come on massa more like as for a shumacher type move the mans a legend and always will be he did what he had to do and im sure we all would if the f1 title was riding on it! and no i still dont think hes deserves it i dont like hamilton to big headed imo but then im a ferrari fan and i would say that eh? UP THE MASSA 2009 and thats all i gotta say about that! Also it is a non-contact sport so that rubbish about you got to do what you got to do if its for a Title, including having to physicly ram your opposition off the track because you can't match their pace is desperation to a whole different degree And its all the more boring for it! Ram each other off the road if you have to, I would, I was shouting for Hamilton to do a last bender on Vettel lmao. I can see where Aub's coming from, I don't like Hamilton's personality really but he's British so I support him lol Having said that I don't really like Massa that much either, or Raikkenen, or Alonso. So who would I like to see win in 2009? Any of Kubica, Kovalinen, Button or Webber, well I can dream.. NASCAR's a better sport though, real sportsmen with larger than life personalities and teams, they can hit and rub each other at 180mph, with no fear of getting a penalty, now thats what I call racing! Montoya made the right choice hehe
  8. This one is better son http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6HO7j2EC_dI&...feature=related the best of the best Good vid aye, but I can't stand MCR, this is tolerable though as I don't have to see they're smug grinning faces wearing the same dam stupid costumes!! lol
  9. I thought the ending to the program was superb, it might just me but when I hear a truly great song in perfect syc with some truly inspirational visuals it sends a tingle down my spine, and this was one of those moments... ITV Ending Montage
  10. Yep that fixed it, thanks guys.
  11. Happy Birthday guys
  12. Hey all, I'm posting on behalf of a friend who says every time he loads a track it comes up with track error opening MAS file COMMONMAPS.mas. He's had the game working before, so I don't know what to suggest to him other than a fresh install, anybody any ideas?
  13. Thanks all sorted
  14. Any ideas why its suddenly being displayed like this when I read topics? It becomes a little annoying having to click on each post to see them.
  15. Congratulations Hutch, certainly the best driver of 2008.
  16. Thanks for all the comments, it was a top race and believe me I tried to put Hutch away, after missing him in the GNC I was prepared to win that final at all costs! You can just about hear my revs even after the music fades in but it was certainly full tilt and I didn't let off until after I'd hit him, Hutch don't move easily though lol Fortunately it was just enough for me to get by, and thank god it was the last lap considering what happened after the flag
  17. Hi-Res onboard vid a bit like Belle Vue I did at the start of the season, only this race has even more action and was even more enojoyable to drive. It is the meeting final and I've added in lap counters near the end and positions once inside the top 10 to help keep track of it. The video is on the highest quality hosting I can find, the quality is only let down by amatuerish editing lol. Sheffield Final Video Kruiz
  18. Aye was a poor ending at least one has to survive, escape and save the world!! Thats how it works!!!!! lmao Oh well at least we got to see Patrick being torn apart and eaten alive, good stuff.

  20. Very nice Tosh
  21. "I'm sorry" "I know you are" then takes her head clean off! Thought that was genius, and she didn't want to go in the first place lol he must feel pleased with himself about that.
  22. Congratulations to Hutch on winning the National Points Championship, you have easily been the best, most consistent driver of 2008, well done. I'd love to think so, but with an F2 to maintain in 2009 that will come first, at least until I break it beyond repair , and quickly losing interest in tarmac racing at most tracks we'll have to see. I might well be shale only next year. However, it would be fantastic if it could be opened up to some other drivers too, Hutch will be the man to beat but Dazza is so close to matching him, Drumbstick also has the talent to challenge with more appearances. MoR could also be up there if he can get more time off work! Sybe improves all the time, Marten is quickly becoming an equal match for Hutch on his day too. Grasser continues to impress me and Tosh despite being a grade player is a match for anyone and as fair as they come. They are drivers I wouldn't be surprised to see fighting for Superstar status and the major championships of 2009 next year, but anything really is possible, I started the season as a reasonably newly upgraded blue grader after spending the Autumn series just 1 year ago now at White and yellow, but was a Superstar after about 2 months this season. Next year could hold some very open racing if people spend some time practising in the winter, it really does pay off take my word for it. Cheers Kruiz
  23. Superb track, best one so far in my opinion, a real stock car drivers track. Every race was enjoyable except the GN really, I hate the lap handicap, its so boring! I had a good race with Matthew in heat 1 then an absolutely fantastic race with Hutch in the GNC, a fully deserved victory, after I was on his bumper for literally all of the race. I tapped and tapped away for the last 4 or 5 laps but I couldn't get through so decided a run up was needed but messed it up, mis judged it and missed by miles putting myself in a post. Still scrambled accross the line for 2nd though. Final just as good as the GNC, virtually race long a was on Hutch's bumper once again but this time pulled off the last bender and with a drag race to the line in true stock car fashion I just got my front end over first to pick up my 2nd final win of the season and my first from superstar, so I'm really happy about that.
  24. Jimmy is on holiday and won't be there.
  25. Yeah I thought that too, some partial nudity though to make for it
