I agree with Johno and Sparky's posts, as much as Gordon seems like a nice bloke I think its the right decision. I don't think F2 BOC would put the sport under this much controversy for no reason at all... the rules state carb must be standard, and obviously it wasn't.

Ahh thats how Hutch does it We'll soon find out when he wins the World Final on Thursday
-
Sorry cancel me please, just been called by my work they need me to cover for someone.
-
EDIT just been on ftooz, 901 is World Champ The question is though, why would Moodie use an illegal carb? He surely would of known he would be disqualified?

Fantastic preview Johno and everyone who were involved. Great read, very well presented and excellent pictures to complete it. :appl:

Just to make sure have you put all the graphic settings down to low/off, shader level to dx7, resolution 800x600 and turned anti-aliasing off? It won't look as pretty but you might be able to play it..

Couple more "In an unexpected turn of events, Hutch puts across his arguement to Deane Wood that it doesn't in fact matter where he places his armco barriers, he will still be able to do this to drivers and that investment into better catch fencing and first aid (or mortuaries) would be money better spent" "Kruiz considers life insurance for the first time.."

Good night of results for me, especially pleased with the final after being parked up on the top of turn 3 armco on lap 2 and lapped by the leader to come back and get 3rd was very unexpected, I had almost given up. Just goes to show anything is possible. Photograph of the night below featuring a naughty superstar, just needs a caption to go with it! "Hutch drops his fag again!" "New lightweight wing achieves better than expected results for Kruiz"

I've done some research on that card and it says it has 128mb of onboard memory. That is the bare minimum for rFactor, I know as i had one of similar spec. Also how much RAM have you got? I had the exact same problem as you when I started. Try lowering all the settings as much as possible, if your settings are already on lowest its probably worth considering an upgrade. I now have an nVidia 7950gt which does the job, they can be bought for less than £50 these days I would imagine, I paid £87 used about a year ago. I had 1GB of RAM orginally but upgraded to 2GB, spending £15 on a 1GB stick of RAM.

No, but you will lose things such as My Documents, things you have on your Desktop etc, so best back all that up. Its not quite the equivalent of a format. Your Hard drive (Programs etc) should be OK.

I used to get this too, solved by a fresh install of windows, but if you go to RUN in the start menu and type explorer.exe it will boot it up (on XP anyway I don't know if Vista is the same) , if it disapears again after a short while, I would advise a reinstallion of windows.

Hi Si, thanks for offer, it would be certainly tempting but it is over 300 miles away so I will have to decline lol, thanks anyway though

A good meeting I thought, plenty of crashes to keep things interesting but also enough good racing to stop it becoming dodgems, a perfect combination I think yesterday. I was very happy to get through the consi semi, I wasn't expecting to tbh with a fair few big hitters in there I was expecting to be taken out, but everyone drove it sensibly and the close side by side race I had with Tosh over about 5 laps was just superb. The final got a messy start and that certainly helped the top guys get to the front but I go pushed out wide and got stuck behind a car who that was parked sideways accross the turn and by the time I'd gotten free Hutch was long gone although I didn't give up and eventually caught most of the distance back up, but not quite close enough. Hopefully see you all next week and thanks to Jimmy for running the meeting!

Ahh thanks mate, never thought of looking there. doh lol I've been on ebay but theres nothing affordable within 100 miles of me. Thanks I'll have a look through ftooz.

Hi all, I'm looking for a (used, can't afford new, or most used ones lmao) trailer that will pull an F2, does anybody know of any good websites for looking for used trailers? Or even anyone who has one for sale? Bearing in mind my budget is about £350 so I'm not looking for anything fancy lol. Thanks Kruiz

Cheers Chevy Great Idea for the clutch start final too. I can't wait, hopefully I can make it.

Bloody hell guys, you know how to scare a new member off don't you???? Check that you have spelt everything in the drivers.txt file correctly. Put the .tex file in: My mesh coputer - Windows C - Program Files - Hasbro Interactive - Nascar Heat - then the correct mod folder e.g ukdirtf1. Put the drivers.txt information in the drivers.txt file in: My mesh coputer - Windows C - Program Files - Hasbro Interactive - Nascar Heat - then the correct mod folder e.g ukdirtf1. Check that you have spelt everything in the drivers.txt file correctly. If the game crashes when loading up try: Check if the chassis stated in the drivers.txt is in ukdirtf1 e.g faldings. It will be called something like faldings.car or fwj2000s.car. If the chassis you need is not there it can usually be found in the ukdirtf1 folder. Just copy and paste the .car file into the folder you need it to be in e.g ukdirtf1. Check that you have spelt everything in the drivers.txt file correctly. If the car added is red: Check if the .tex file for that car is in the correct folder e.g ukdirtf1. Check that you have spelt everything in the drivers.txt file correctly. If the skin does not fit the chassis it is on: Check that it has been given the correct chassis name in the dirivers.txt If you racing offline, it sounds like you have downloaded the online game ukdirt f1? Then I reccomended locating bh2005 from somewhere which includes about 50 - 70 real life cars. Hope this helps.

Couldn't agree more there Vegas, we were all spinning white tops at first. Just look back at the old Autumn series vids for evidence of me being just about the worst driver on track.. I still enjoyed it immencely though. As Vegas says, some practise, patience, experience, more practise and lots more patience, it all pays off in the end. Keep at it fellas, I will be able to join you again in about 4/5weeks.

Well done Dan. Personally I hate that track, but because Daz & Hutch are about 1/4 second faster than me at it lol.
