Lol yeah was excellent. It was rather peculiar how we kept ending up so close in every race, and it's not the first time its happened to....... not to mention the fact we share the same surname and our numbers are so close It had crossed my mind aswell Weird or what Yeh that was a great race, I would have been puting the bumper in aswell but the tyres wern't gripping well in the last few laps and I got loose coming out of the second to last corner meaning I wasn't close enough, lucky really or none of us would probably have finished lol. After thinking Hendo would be the sort of track that if you spin your out with the laps being so long, it turned out to be completely the opposite. At the start of the final I must have lost over 10 seconds on the leaders along with a few others from blue and red grade (Ironmac is one I can remember) as there was a big tangle on the back straight, but even after that I managed to work my way up to 2nd with Ironmac also getting in the top 10, so it was the complete opposite of what I was expecting from such a big track, proving really that you should never give up in an rFactor race as you never know what might happen.

Very enjoyable meeting I thought, cars littered about everywhere, and lots of spinners which made for a lot of quick reflex moves, keeping a cool head and watching out for any pile ups or trouble ahead was the game last night, but considering its the debut meeting here, things will probably get more into shape the more its practised so I think it was excellent Great battles with a lot of people last night, but one more than most, MoR (again lol) seemed to be either in front or behind me in every race (just look at the results, 137 directly behind me in every result I'm in, and it certainly didn't go unnoticed ), and I certianly had some top quality racing with him thanks for running the meeting too

Great! I can barely keep the car in a straight line on the tracks I've been practicing at... and tomorrow I'm going to take part in a test meeting at a completely new track with no setup. I apologise in advance for the chaos I cause We will all be in the same boat, you certainly won't be the only driver not able to keep it in a straight line

Cheers Walker, Nice cars Grasser & Tosh. CrazyFool, I was messing about with Alpha levels to see if I could make any sense of it and it made all the panels disapeared which I thought was quite cool

My dad has recently got a new laptop and wireless router but can't get it to connect. He has AOL 9.0 VR and is using Vista. The Router is a Netgear DG834G Wireless ADSL Modem/Router which it says it is compatible with AOL. As far as I know its set up correctly, anybody any idea what might be wrong?

Good man MoR, I can understand both cases here.. I had a computer that only just handled the game a few months ago and anything such as night races, or having 20+ cars made the game freeze up on every lowest setting. In those circumstances anything such as low-res skin packs would have helped a lot. I was lucky enough to be able to scrape together a bit of money for a new graphics card and ram, and it has flipped the issue the other way for me now, I'm now resizing skins and finding the quality lost makes the skins look like they were painted with sand paper, but I can understand that for people with lower end PCs then quality of skins isn't an issue as long as they are racing, and most people who don't have better PCs is becuase they can't upgrade otherwise I'm sure they would. At this stage we can't afford to be losing drivers becuase they're computer can't handle it, we need all the drivers we can get so I think MoR is right in producing low-res skin packs even though my skins greatly suffer, but if we can download high-res skins aswell then that is much better IMO.

Only the F1 mod & tracks are available from the ukdirt website, so you haven't actually got the game? You have to buy rFactor, about 20 quid I think, either CD (Amazon is best bet) or download for about 25 quid from rFactor.net

I will have a crack it if you want mate, any colours you like? I'm not sure I will have time to do a masterpiece but I will do as much as I can get done in my limited free time

Well, it has to be one of the following things.. 1) Too much throttle/wheel spin causing lots of friction which will make the tyre hotter and wear out. 2) That pretty much ties in with this; sliding too much (on tarmac). 3) Pressures too low, my right rear is set to between 140 - 180 on tarmac, any lower and it wears out, any higher and tbh Ive not tried it, but I assume, less grip. Having said that, at the end of a heat (16 laps) my RR, will be on about 120 - 130 (depending on how hard I've had to drive) and slighty worn, at the end of a final (20 laps), about 130 - 140 and has little grip left. Personally I like to have the car setup for the start of the race, but thats personal preference. Hope that helps, Kruiz
