  2. Aw there's no need for that lol. Could we have a shale test meeting and I'll prove I'm as useless as before.. or I'll paint the Goold stripes yellow and line up from there for shale meetings The test meeting was a sucess imo as we fixed a problem that would have otherwise occured at the first meeting of the season, well done guys
  3. Thanks guys
  4. Make sure its on DX9, and that the car detail, opponent detail etc is on full/high. It may also have something to do with the low-res skinpack if you installed that.
  5. I couldn't think of what to say, which is unusual for me so that says a lot in itself It reminds of a car that used to race in late 90's but I can't think for the life of me who it was. Stunning skin.
  6. Thanks for sorting the servers guys, it was perfect for the last 2 races
  7. Slacking on the job eh? That'll never do.. No worries, we have all season to try out new tracks anyway
  8. Happy Birthday mate have a good un you ol git
  9. Thanks Aussie, great write-up too
  10. Crewe, when you get a decent setup for each surface (I know this alone isn't easy) then you are pretty much done. I made a setup for Birmingham first, with the help of Drumb's setup guide and video, and then made a setup for Belle Vue. I use the same basic setup for every track of the same surface and there are very few tracks that I'm well off the pace on. So 2 setups is enough to get within .3 of the pace on each track for me anyway, then just tweak at things until it runs nicely on all the tracks. That might help getting setups for the tracks in a shorter amount of time.
  11. Some may argue other teams need this more than me
  12. Garbage MoR, will be when I'm finished with it anyway Stunning mate
  13. lol too slow
  14. Race@RFC are hosting 24/7 races for rFactor F1s from today until the 21st of Feb and 22nd feb to 28th Feb. Read about it here: http://rfactorcentral.com/raceserver/world...ip_calendar.cfm See you there
  15. For this meeting real life skins will be used.

  18. Can you wait a few days and tell me if its reliable please mate If you don't reply I'll assume its not
  19. I'm with AOL, not great and have been thinking about changing for a while but I'm in a 2 year contract at the moment. I pay £20 for 8meg although I only get about 2.0-3.0meg depending on what day it is lol. I also pay £5 a month for McAfee. I've just searched google for good ISP providers and found O2 for £15 a month for 16meg and free McAfee. Has anyone got any experience of O2?
  20. I do, it was the first corner of the final and I went underneath him....
  21. Pic from first few laps of heat 5: [attachmentid=22625] Last bender on MoR proving big hits are possible on rFactor without either driver spinning if you get it right [attachmentid=22626] [attachmentid=22627] [attachmentid=22628] [attachmentid=22629] Kruiz
  22. Very hectic meeting especially at Birmingham and navigating thorugh the carnage in the final certainly wasn't easy but it was good fun I'm glad you posted that pic MoR as I thought you had gone over the fence when I saw it my rearview mirror and I was only to happy to give you a big hit, seems to have become a tradition now lol and seeing as it was the last bend I thought I'd better make it even harder than usual Well done for holding on to it though and still beating me accross the line as it must have been one of the hardest hits I've given out and held on to so far on rFactor Great series and meeting, thanks again MoR for running it Well done Drumb for winning the series and unlucky Hutch even closer this time than before Kruiz
  23. If you haven't tried rFactor with a wheel & pedals using bonnet or cockpit view then imo you aren't getting the most out of it. Get yourself a 20 - 30 quid Microsoft Sidewinder USB FFB Wheel off ebay, you will enjoy the game 100 times more believe me. Its definately worth it.
  24. Sorry Alip I didn't mean to be impolite. Big Al has it pretty much covered there, it is a compromise for one season, with the most common sense solution. It allows people who only race Heat to try rFactor aswell if they wish and still carry on with heat in the meantime or vice versa. Nobody would try the other mod if we were to have them clashing at 8.30. Running on Sundays is not very ideal as I, and others I'm certain, would miss at least 50% of the season due to being at real life events or race meetings as the majority of us on here have a common interest in Short Oval Racing. We don't want to run it on other weekdays as that would interfere with other UKDirt mods and that is not in the best interest of UKDirt as a whole. Whatever decision we were to make we will always end up upsetting some people, but we went with a compromise of running both F1 mods on the same day to try and keep as many members as possible happy and hopefully it will prove to be a success and we have a great years racing. Nobody will really know for sure until we have tried it. With regards to what Mr Beef said, rFactor setups are not actually very difficult when you know what you are doing. Once you have one base setup that works for each surface, just use that set-up for every other track of the same surface with minor changes. I just tried my Ipswich set-up at Brimingham with only tweaking the gears and was lapping .1 slower than my 'purpose made' Birmingham set up. Its really more how you drive it that makes the difference and possibly needs more time adjusting. If you read Drumb's tutorial and watch his video, you will be within half a second of the pace in less than 2 hours. It worked for me anyway.
