Yes, and we have been, but it seems only 5 or 6 people are unhappy with it. Therefore there are about 30 - 50 members who are ok with it? We are trying to please the majority, even if they choose to be silent at this stage.

Not true.. I know someone who is on wireless who I host a private server to every week, he doesn't ever warp..
-
Aye that be it I think, can I ask why you have a picture of it though? lol

And yes you did, but I didnt find these buildings till this week If you are in the pits looking at the high class cafe bar, look over to the left there is a small white building and a goofy greenish one. I have seen 1 pic but there are haulers all around them, so I havent been able to get a solid pic of what they are or what is even around them. I was working on the tower and caught a peep show of one of the buildings. Since I didnt ask for pics of that area, Furwinds might have come to the rescue but if anyone finds something please post it. Seeing as no1 even knows that they exist, I dont think they will be missed. I think they're the gents toilets. I've not been in them since I was about 12 I think one is toilets and one is an officials office as its next to the weigh-in point.

But most F1 and F2 fans would be at real life meetings, I know I would be and with some tracks 4+ hours away (I don't know how far other people travel) I personally wouldn't be back in time to race, I assume this is the same for other people.

I've been recomending it to everyone under the sun, so its not a lack of adveising, most people I speak to would love to race it but their computers aern't up to it, others were put off earlier when the side on contact was not so great. I think Fareham is a great track, you can have lots of side by side racing, hit people hard with relative ease even had enough to fence them and both come out down the straight again, and again and again. As I think it was Beef and I tested last night to MoR's disfortune lol. Then I found out what it was like in the final when I made the mistake of lapping Tosh I hope if we are short of a real life track or two for this season, Fareham could be used as a gap filler, as it produces some pretty great racing. The best bit I think was when I was having a battle with Beef in the final and we got side by side down the straights a few times heading into the corners. It looked and sounded great from my speakers which were almost on full volume lol. Brilliant racing. Well done Grasser & Hutch, Thanks MoR, well run I thought.

I've spent 3 hours walking round town today to discover that they don't have coolers in stock until summer. So I've found the following on the internet: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=F...mp;doy=28m1#faq http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.202-0809.aspx One is internal and one is external. The internal one requires a pci-e slot, but there is one spare between the sound card and graphics card, whether it would fit is another matter. The second is a cooling tower, which, laid down should do the job nicely but it is a fan so would it be any better than what I'm doing now? The second one bares a resemblance to what Tosh has got and recomends. Any opinions or idea's? Thanks

Kruiz 136 please MoR. Thanks

The link appears to have gone on rfactorcentral.com, I had it before I reinstalled rFactor today and really liked it. Just wondering if anyone has it, tarmac or dirt would be great, both preferably. If you do, add me: kruiz136@hotmail.co.uk or you could put it on rapidshare or something please, that would be great. Thanks Kruiz

Thanks guys, the fan appears to be working now, I installed some older drivers like Hutch & Tosh suggested and its ok. I'm going to invest in a cooler next week aswell
-
I did that, it just boots as normal It reads a floppy disk though.

Aye he is a big scouser.. even if he does own a 60's style Mini He looks hilarious driving it lol Its got to be either the card or system, its not been formatted for 4 years but Dell appears to have stopped me from doing that aswell with their own version of the Microsoft installer disk.
-
Does this track crash randomly after about 2 or 3 racing minutes for any of you guys with 20+ AI cars?
-
I'll ask the big scouser next door if I can have a go at his machine As look would have it out Stationary box in town shut down a month ago, but I'll have a look for one like that as I think that would help. Its probably my last hope, as I can't format it since the disk I have for Windows is a Dell one and it sets up differently to a Windows one meaning I can't boot the computer from it, and ultimately can't format from it. I can't format it as a secondary hard drive as theres no room to fit another one without taking the disk drives out first, plus I can't find any wires so that i could wire 2 hard drives up. With less than 45 quid as my budget there aern't all that many options I don't think lol. Thanks for all the ideas and advice so far guys, very much appreciated.

Why is it that an "expert" can take something you already know and make it sound confusing? Take a word of advice, you are setting yourself up for a big fall with some of your comments, such as "I can hit without spinning, " and we do it well"!! you'll be saying next I race so realistically that I run out of fuel in a race.. The leagues havent even started and you are making it sound as if the drivers that have taken part in RF thus far are all you expect to race in the league, surely not? I guess if you take a straw pole of the real Stock car racers that have raced RF thus far they will want, and expect to have, far more competition than they are currently experiencing now, for now this is the practice period, a taster, a prelude, that is all, nothing more. Wait until the real racing starts, then we will see just who are the experts, please keep the comments coming, I have a full hard drive to save them onto. ALi P Its all getting a bit tiresome tbh, I certainly hope more people do race, I've never once said nobody else can, I'm all for the promotion of rFactor, but some seem stuck in your ways unwilling to try anything different, which is fine, but I don't see why you keep going on about heat is better. I don't see anyone on the heat forum saying rFactor is better I'm not sure exactly what I'm saying that is setting me up for a big fall although I'm sure you can point that out for me, and it will only be you, Parky etc who provide it anyway, in which case its already been going on for 3 months. It seems the only reason you are posting is to have a go at me so I'm posting no more on the matter after this, it seems pointless on a thread about whether or not drivers a lap up should be passed or maybe you just enjoy picking on folk less than half your age? Sad really.. Oh, and last week I did run out of fuel on the last lap, ask DanSkin. Cheers Kruiz

If its a glitch in the Windows software, would that mean the cheapest option would be a format before I go out spending my non-existant money?
-
The good drivers dont have that issue... No I can hit people without spinning, so can others, and we do it well, but you can't hit everything at any time becuase you feel like it. You have to be patient, get the right amount of contact when the weight distribution is in correct place around the axis, its a skill.
-
Haha well the bloke I bought it off said he was just replacing it with the 8800, which I thought was a legitimate excuse but you never know. Whats the heatsink and where is it?
-
No I can't remove the other side as the motherboards attached to it, but thats a good idea I think
