No rFactor meeting next week so I'll hopefully see you all in 2 weeks time at Sexberium for the first 2009 World Championship Qualifying round.

WD Aub and thanks to Kev & Dan for running the meeting.

Bad luck in all but one heat set the tone for my night really. I Thought I'd finally got some luck when the grid for the final was set being inside row 4, I thought I stood a decent chance of a good position from there but the bad luck streak continued as I was spun turn one then hammered down the back straight by every other oncoming car.

I can't see it getting much better for next week really at what is my least favourite track, (I'd rather it were Sheffield!) but I'll see you there anyway lol.

Ah so it was you who i got caught up with, i ended up facing the wrong way being collected by the pack aswell which pretty much ended my race right there.

Now, i've got a question, in that situation where i was i think dead last and the leaders were easily half a lap ahead if not more, do you continue to go round potentially getting in the leaders way or is it better to pull off? I know i didnt have a hells hope in catching the guys infront as i was slow tonight but i thought it would be worth getting the practice in as atm i need racing practice (ie getting punted) rather than lap practice.

Finally Well done to Aub and thankyou to those who ran the meting

Well I carried on in the hope I might claw my way back to the top 10 if there were enough incidents, but with the car quite badly damaged I just stayed wide whenever I could to let the leaders through. Having said that it didn't matter anyway because of course bad luck struck again when I was close to the top 10 and I was collected in another pile up, I gave up on the last few laps, when Hutch spins into you, you know your lucks out!

Was it really the same Aub that won the British Championship, that only hours before wanted to know if I was racing as I was the only one he could keep up with at present!!!!!

If that was true I wished I had of raced, it could have been my championship!!!!

Well Done m8

And from what I hear, its great to see Hutch accepting the "Payback" and moving on - credit to you m8

Thanks to Kev for the meeting and Dan for the servers.

Thoroughly enjoyed the night - had an average set of heats really, finding a lot of the carnage and struggling to get back into the swing of things after a couple of months off the shale (and the game in general really). Highlight of the heats was Grassers three car dump into the turn 1 fence on me, Kruiz and Matty - especially felt sorry for Matty lol! The average heats resulted in me starting two rows from the back on the grid so didn't really expect much. However, it also seemed to click into place for the British, car felt on rails, got a clean start, managed to get through a few cars, dispatch Sybe into a parked car for 3rd and finish there. Really pleased with another podium finish, and a big well done to Aub for taking the championship! Well deserved after a solid night.

See you all soon hopefully!

cheers for all the well dones guys im still shocked i won it tbh never have i done very good on shale so it is a surprise to say the least

heats went well i think should have had 2nd in heat 1 but norton popped up with 2 to go :banghead2: the rest of the heats results i was really chuffed with and really surprised to get a front row start. so onto the final i thought id get swallowed up early on but i didnt and just drove a steady race and it payed off i did have to survive a couple of lap down efforts from a few red tops i had lapped but thats the way it goes. unlucky to sybe who got caught up with the backmarkers if he hadnt im sure the result might have been different.

not to keen on that upgrade to red mind as i was aiming for yellow lol

cheers

Aub

Very nice skin Aub, Well done on the win.

Very good meeting I thought, some great battles in the heats. Some problems for me throughout though, mainly FFB related...I can see what people are on about now with that and tbh I'm not sure what causes it, also lost connection causing me to quit the 2nd heat but very happy with how my heats went, the 3 car push into turn being my highlight lol. Struggled with the ffb in the final and parked it in the end but a good nights racing all round.

Cheers

Why would you pull off unless your car is damaged enough to make driving it properly a problem? You're there to race.
