Well Done Dan - Great Drive! :appl:

Was well chuffed to win the Consolation Semi Final and thought that would set me up for the meeting.

Drove well in the World Final and was pleased with my run to 19th.

Every heat I was then in, I was within the top 3 by lap 14 only to be taken out and drop right down the places!!

Only saviour was the B Final when followed TomD over the line in 2nd, but maybe his wall-riding may get him docked!!!

GN was leading when a backmarker battle got over heated and I was drilled by 495 who was after someone else and that too ended my race.

So really disappointed on a night that is supposed to be the best night of the season (Always voted as such in the awards night) to come so far yet achieve nothing!!!!

Well Done to Samwit for his final win (cant help feeling that was a missed opportunity for me tho!!) and to Big Al who scored some decent points tonight and if I am right, he and Spike Jnr are now up to yellow!!

Wd dan On another note though I was really annoyed by the driving standards of some people tonight not long been racing and every race im being put in hard and as the case was in the b final on top of the fence! it's not making want to try and even bother to race next year. When I joined up I thought I would be a good laugh on a good game but some just have to spoil it. Rant over

Well done Mr Skin Legend in the making???? Seems the old driving standards has reared its ugly head again.Your gonna lose more drivers if a hard line is not taken and bans dished out like sweets. I'm gutted i can't race anymore i am certain more will leave which is a very sad. When people like Grasser are saying they have had enough(for those who don't know without Grasser you would not have Such a great mod).Every single driver needs to look at themselves and think is this how real drivers race your answer will be NO.

Flat out deliberate fencing has no part in F1's i suggest people who think this is ok should race Bangers.

"Danny the champion of the world" a book can be bought in hard back and paperback a life story????

Congratulations Dan, an excellent drive & a deserved gold. From a personal viewpoint I thought racing from amongst the blues was tough, dont think i made it round a lap without being "sent in" or spun on the bends.! Summed up best for me by getting a broken suspension 2 secs after GO! was called in the middle of the back straight & finishing 6th in the consi semi after a pointless hit to fence me. I thought i was on the pace after consistent 12.8's in practice, but hadnt bargained on the brutality being dished out by some. Driving standards were very very poor all night, the rollers were garbage too in my heats. Whether it was tensions running high with it being a WF or not I dont know, but with people being loaded & flak flying in chat about why someone ruined someone elses race etc.etc. it was a shame to see on what should be the best night of the season, & hefty bans need to get the point across.

On a more positive note it was good to see Big Al back in the points after a great drive in the final, & samwit taking the chequered too.

Well done Dan on taking the World Final - certainly well deserved. I thought the meeting was smoothly ran :)

I was a little disapointed myself after the world final, as I was in 3rd with 1 to go and was spun out (not Kane's fault though - my car was horribly loose after the early laps so I left the rear wheel exposed and around I went. Doh!). The race wasn't too bad once it settled down a bit though. The rest of the meeting was a mixed bag for me - it's the same old frustrations for me in this mod at the moment and most of it's already been touched upon in this thread and my usual grumblings elsewhere.

I think that's me done with the F1s for the time being, but I'm sure a bit of time away will help rekindle some of the old enthusiasm, but for now, I'll settle for resisting taking Tom out in the Autograss

Thanks for the kind words folks, very happy!! :king:

A quick note on the negative side... It appears that there is going to be a large amount of disciplinary action as a result of this meeting. We will do our best to review as much of the racing, and as many incidents as possible. If you want to be sure we have seen/reviewed something, send me a PM as soon as possible (with the usual info - what race, what car, what lap, etc).

Good to see Stumpy get the old keyboard working again, thought it must be broke after no reply from him to all the nice things people said about him before  Although sounds like not likely to return on-track :3:

I am chuffed for Dan winning the WF, noone could deserve it more for the effort he puts into UK Dirt and always has. :appl:

I am surprised to read so many negative comments about the meeting, I guess I was lucky going from white (not any more though ) as I only had good racing with others all night.

I got a big chunk of setup help from an old pal pre meeting  which made me feel more stable coming off the bends and to get all top 10's was a real buzz.

Highlight of the night had to be the Final. The last few laps Chevykiller passed me and apparently he had damage which explains why I could keep up with him  so I kept nibbling back and eventually got back in front. As usual I was late realising it was the last bend and sure enough Chevy just did enough to get under me and beat me to the line, but such an enjoyable battle - thanks Chevy.

Had other good battles with FastTrack, MadMatt, SpikeJnr, Aza and I'm sure others as well.

Thanks for a great meeting all.

Gonna have to try and practice a bit going from yellow  - well done Jnr too!

Meeting turned out pretty much how I thought it would....bangers!

some of the driving standards were shocking and to be honest wouldnt be surprised if a few leave but nice to see admin are having a look into it!

Well Done to Danskin on the world, well deserved mate and well done to all other winners!

thanks to the stewards etc for the meeting!

Did you expect anything else?

I've become very picky about my skins, and end up not liking something about 5 minutes after I have "finished" it... So for now this is how it will be. I will try to get something sorted, but I'd rather race a blank car than have signs / designs that I end up not liking.

just back from world final :)

Well done Dan for winning the world final you deserve it

Wow what a meeting

The world final was to be my first ever race for me at this track, as I could not race the uk open meeting.

I was very confident though. My start was decent, but got pushed wide and was pushed in the fence, resulting in me in having destroyed my inside rear tyre.

so it was race over for me and had to settle for about 20th??

After the race I didnt expect much from the meeting- How wrong I was!!

Ok, first heat was crap.

2nd heat I was much better and got 5th.

3rd, heat. Wow. Almost won my first ever race from red (apart from a few b-finals), and I was away. But in the last lap Matty spun in front of me, so I got third I was quite pissed , lol

Then the final. Another amazing race, Car was good, I was on the pace and also had a bit luck. Drove together with fasttrack away from the pack, but my inside rear tyre again was broken so I let fasttrack past. In the end I had a very good battle with Bigal, with me getting 3rd - very happy.

Gn, another nice race. 3rd again.

So 3 3rds in a row and a lot of points.

See you thursday.
