Same problem for me Aussie, now I'm on F2 Admin. I managed to buy a copy of Excel through work at a bit lower than the usual Microsoft rip off. Thanks to Wrighty for putting all the clever stuff in the macros - I think it is worth getting a copy if you are RMing or maintaining points.

Congratulations to you both. Does this explain why you are mellowing

Some great practice tonight, thanks Cider and Mart. The server took a real test tonight and there was only very slight warp given we had 5 in from the US and us 3 from the UK. We even managed to beat the XRT guys a few times lol. If you have the game (hard to find I know) and are just watching the telly Sunday night, get yourself booked in for some fun. To keep the US guys out of the meeting, I wont be using GameSpy on Sunday night. You will need the IP, which I will post after 8pm sometime. -

I'm running Norton 2006 - not noticed any problems. I got it free with the PC, will probably revert to the free Avast.com once the year is up though. Sorry I can't help Watto. Gordon267 was also having problems tonight (also with Norton 2007 I think).

WoO Sprintcars for PC Fun Meeting
Counter552 replied to Counter552's topic in Non-League / Off Topic
Thanks Budge for setting up the server and to all who raced. We were joined by a few "professionals" from USA and Canada who race in a league in these. It's fair to say they were quite a bit faster, but not used to UKDirt style racing, so we managed to beat them a couple of times. Even with 7 cars (3 from USA), Budge's server was very stable with little or no warp. Same time next Sunday night when we will run a couple of race meetings with 30 or 35 lap finals ! -
WoO Sprintcars for PC Fun Meeting
Counter552 replied to Counter552's topic in Non-League / Off Topic
Guys Budge has kindly offered to set up a server at 9pm Sunday night. Hope to see some of you there. The game is quite hard to find for the PC. Most of the ones on ebay tend to be PS2. -
Hi Guys After a good server test tonight, I think it's worth trying a few more cars at a time in this great game. Guys already expressing an interest are allocated/have chosen these cars : Counter 2 Andy Hillenburg Budge 1 "Slammin" Sammy Swindell Marty 7 Craig Dollansky "the Crowd Pleaser" Tosh 17 Joey Saldana Hutch 19 Stevie Smith Wrighty 83 Jac Haudenschild " the Wild Child" Corny 11 Steve Kinser "King of the Outlaws" Spike 10 Tyler Walker Please book in below if you are interested. If we get between 5 and 8 cars, we can run an all in session around a few tracks. This is purely for fun over the winter break.

I make that 8 interested (so far) Counter 2 Andy Hillenburg Budge 1 "Slammin" Sammy Swindell Marty 7 Craig Dollansky "the Crowd Pleaser" Tosh 17 Joey Saldana Hutch 19 Stevie Smith Wrighty 83 Jac Haudenschild " the Wild Child" Corny 11 Steve Kinser "King of the Outlaws" Spike 10 Tyler Walker Given Prydie's excellent idea for F2 Winter Speedway type meetings on Monday's, probably try for this on Sunday nights. I was thinking of running a test meeting (round a few tracks) on Sunday the 26/11 to check how many we can run in my server at a time, then run an 8 - 10 week mini-season up to the end of January. Like real life, points would only be earned for the A Main race. The heats would determine grid for the A Main - more later after we've discovered if we can run all in. I'll put a post on the server thread before next weekend - please use that post to let me know if you can make the test meeting. Hope we can have some fun.

Hi Guys As the season is nearing an end, just wondered how many people may be interested in having some fun with THE real oval racers. If you have the game on PC and are interested, please post here and I'll try and work something out for Dec/Jan. I've not discussed this with any Admin (or Spike who tried this the last time), so have no night or use of Chat agreed. Just wanted to check level of interest first. Probably try for Monday nights unless the F2 team have anything else already in mind. If you are interested, please post here with your preferred car and number. I'll kick off with Andy Hillenburg, Number 2.

Life may be ending as we know it Kendo ! Don't believe UKDirt will ever be devalued, it just needs to decide whether a move to a new platform would be of benefit. We already have alternative leagues that have not devalued UKDirt. F2 may benefit most from a move to a new platform as the current mod does suffer a wee bit from "easy-topple" Main thing will be how well the league is run and the current UKDirt F2 Admin team are doing a great job. Personally I care more about how well the league is managed than being able to read the decals I guess it's over to the Admin team to facilitate an off-season decision about the pro's and con's of a move of Platform. I've no idea if the r-Factor team would simply let UKDirt use the platform and Mods ? PS Could sell you a new wheel and pedal set (cheapish), lost interest in using them at the moment.

I'll be there with Carol (avoiding Kendo, Budge Stav and Spike ) on the way to Wimbledon and BV.

Happy Birthday Mav - hope you have some luck for tonight's race.
