I think they are awesome. I have the three pedal version (Info here) however you do need to buy the tuning kit as well to get the pedal pressures correct

Couple of extra points. The MOMO and the DFP are known to have dodgy pedals. After a period of time they get spikes and dont always use there full range. The G25 has a sprung brake pedal like a real car the other sets have not. I have not tried one but I have read reports of people getting cramp with the G25 as the wheel in thinner so if you have big hands it may be something to think about. I think the general consensus in sim land is that the G25 is worth the money but I cannot reccomend it as I use a MOMO with BRD pedals.

As any server log would show I love this mod already and it sounds like it can only get bigger and better My only concern is with that many chassis people will need a lot of video ram to run it but I am sure you guys have thought that through. I hope you do decide to run a series instead of un conected meetings, and any help I can offer on that front just let me know .

We did talk about keeping score from the Sunday night meetingsand running some championships but the majority vote was to wait until there are a couple more tracks released.

With Drumb's guidance ... I finally got down to the low 14s ... Yeah :-) Thanks Drumb! No probs mate, as I said yesterday you are at the stage now at least on tarmac where you just need to practice, practice, practice and sort your controller out

Server had a blip is back now
-
It looks so small because you are now using half the amount of pixels you were before. Just zoom in a bit more
-
Its not far off Unless a lot of people object I think Ippy shale is a good shout, simply because it is the only place we have not run a meeting yet.
-
cheers chap, it's just we had a problem with the server 'sticking' between sessions on Sunday s'all Yea that was my fault, I selected the wrong player profile on ther server.
-
cheers hutch, i'll try yours tonight instead of setting mine up oh having said that of course, what's the score re: setting a server admin to change sessions etc if u aint there? NON admins can call a vote on the server if no admins are about
-
Thought I had added a poll but it did not work so just post your choices below.
-
Yep server is always open, at the moment
-
Where would you guys like to race this Sunday?
-
Same here, the inside front is so unloaded especially in the second half of the corner you can afford to get really close and sometimes just on the inside kerb. If you look at that hotlap I posted I actually overshoot the entry into T1 a bit and have to correct it by trail braking much latter than usual.
-
Low 14s high 13s for race pace. A few of us as low as 13.7s Any chance of seeing one of your hot laps posted somewhere so I can 'drive onboard' to learn more about the way you drive the track please. My fastest race lap from last night, and the GN replay so you can watch the whole race from incar Replays.zip

As a novice ... Do people coast into the corners or brake hard then throw it left? Any driving tips would be appreciated to bring my 15+ times down to the low 14s on Birm. I should be about Wednesday or Thursday evenings if you want to jump on the server for an hours coaching. To answer your question I am trailbraking all the way to the apex then feeding the throttle in. What controler are you using. I was yesterday using the keyboard and I was more comfortable with this .. but I do have Thrustmaster 360 moderna wheel that I have to hold onto the desk as the clamp has broken ;-) Wednesday is a better day for me to be trying to do any practice thanks. Ok I will be on from 8ish on Wednesday, and I would suggest you invest in a wheel and pedals if you are pnanning to spend any amount of time ingame. Others will argue a pad is ass good but don't believe them

The morning after the night before and I think most things went ok last night. Race 1 was good, race 2 was the first time I have had broken suspension on the rear of these and that was an experience. The Final was good and the GN was a cracking race all round good fun. Erik, I dont have a problem with you, or with slow drivers being on the server. However unlike fourwinds who was on the server all night and did not cause a problem you turned up late and then in race 2 either wall rode each corner or if there was a car in front nailed them no matter how many laps down you were. Couple this with last week when you were doing the same and nailing people of the center green I think most people will see where our frustrations are. To anyone that was struggling last night or infact at all, if you want to arrange a time to get together on the server I am more than happy to pass on any knowledge and tips I have. I was thinking about some of the races last night, not turning into a wreck fest but there being some carnage that you had to avoid, I think one of the main contibuting factors to this is the lack of grading. Closed grid races are known for the first couple of laps being hard and that is effectivly what we are doing. As somebody else mentioned above we are all still learning how to hit in this mods as you cannot just plow in like you can in HEAT. As for the track, I really like as freew has said I did find a problem (Sorry) but hopefuly the fix Jeff has supplied will fix that and everyone else can get to enjoy it Ramblings of an idiot I am sure EDIT No probs Iron that was probably a bit more important than racing, good luck
-
Well except for race 2 being ruined by a certain person that was generally good fun. Wil post more latter but if anyone did spot any problems please let me know.
-
Links sent, no more bookings now
-
Ok server is up. And remember guys please dont pass the link on, Freew is trusting us to do what is hopefully the final test on this track
-
Everyone that is booked in should now have a link to the track
-
I will leave the server up overnight, although that will not help you this week as you need to be booked in to get the track
