  1. Hello Guys, Having recently seen read the full rules for this years National Series Shootout, we have decided to try and follow real life as much as possible, although, due to the way we have run the joker system, and the fact that it was announced and enforced from round 1 of the series, we have decided to leave that as it was announced at the start of the year. Anyway, the changes only effect the drivers in the National Series Shootout, and here they are: 1. All shootout drivers will be graded superstar, from now until the end of the season. 2. There will be an equal number of shootout drivers in each heat and GN. 3. The drivers will draw lots at the REAL LIFE WORLD FINAL meeting at Kings Lynn to decide who starts in pole position for the first meeting. 4. Thereafter the driver with the least points will start the following meeting on pole. A PM has been sent to all of the National Series Shootout drivers to make sure they are aware of the rule changes. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, but we feel that the decision in real life will also give us a better point’s championship. It’s just a shame the information wasn’t available at the NEC as was promised. Cheers Johno

This programme is for the meeting which will take places at Kings Lynn this Thursday, Start time 8:30pm. I think I have included my thank yous in the programme, but I will just quickly thank all of the Admin Team for collecting all the information for this programme, and also thank all those drivers that have made comments about the World Final. Please feel free to comment on the production of the programme, we are always looking to improve, whilst at the same time, it is always good to see positive comments, as this kind of production takes up a lot of time to produce. Big well done to Madcowie for winning the final, and of course, with him playing his joker, he scored a hatful of points - so well done sir. 11. Hello Guys, Welcome to the first meeting of the night which will take place at Scunthorpe - START TIME 8PM!! Tonight is Round 22 of the National Series, which means that after tonight we will have our 6 contenders for the Shootout, and the race for the silver roof. With Kruiz not booked in, there is a chance that drivers behind could qualify, although the guy that would be favourite from the remaining group has not booked in for this meeting. Tonight, we will run 3 heats, all in final and grand national. We will then assess after the meeting, how the track runs with 22 cars, and see if we need to reduce it for the second meeting of the year. HEAT GRIDS Heat 1: 15, 495 // 11, 164, 365 // 8, 17, 216, 323 // 137, 188, 290, 363 // 112, 331 Heat 2: 15 // 11, 221, 365, 527 // 8, 216, 256, 315 // 3, 137, 188, 233 // 2, 112 Heat 3: 495 // 164, 221, 527 // 17, 256, 315, 323 // 3, 233, 290, 363 // 2, 331 Cheers Johno

  13. Book in here for the Scunthorpe Meeting guys. STARTS AT 8PM!!
  14. Hello Guys, Just a quick reminder about this weeks two meetings...... both big meetings in different ways. I will be race managing the Scunthorpe Meeting, with Kev race managing the Belle Vue meeting. If you wish to play your joker at tomorrow nights Scunthorpe meeting, then please PM KEV before the meeting and NOT me, especially if you are in or around the shootout. I will try to keep you up to date throughout the night on how the point situation is in regards the shootout, BUT remember, I will not know until the end of the meeting if anyone has played their joker, so therefore I can only update with normal meeting points. I will try and have the 6 confirmed qualifiers on the meeting results for you, after confirming them with Kev of course. EDIT: PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE START TIME FOR THE FIRST MEETING IS 8PM, NOT 8:30PM. Cheers Johno
  15. Hello Guys, Here is the latest addition of the Rfactor F1 Newsletter - thanks once again to everyone who has contributed to the newsletter. Remember, the World Final Programme will be available next week. Cheers Johno RF1_Newsletter___AugSept_2009___Issue_05.pdf
  16. Hello Guys, It is that time of the year again where we start thinking about the World Championship. With the race now being just over a week away, I would like you to answer a couple of questions to make the World Final Programme even better. (1) What do you think are your chances in the big race? (2) If you don't win the big race, who do you think will? Please feel free to say as little or as much as you want. Only swearing / spelling will be edited (spelling not by me ) NON WORLD FINALISTS If you wish to comment on the big race then please feel free to do so. (1) Who do you think will win the big race? PLEASE PM YOUR ANSWERS TO MYSELF (JOHNO). All of the team are clubbing together to produce what should be a absolutely stunning programme, and you input can only make it even better. Cheers Johno
  17. Hello Mart, I am perhaps not the best person to answer this question, but I am afraid I have never seen a Rfactor F1 without a wing. I also dont recall seeing an option to remove the wing in the extras. Like I said though, I could be wrong. When I see Grasser on MSN next, I will direct him to your query sir. Cheers Johno
  18. Mav, I explained the decision in a fair and positive manor, at no point slating you in anyway and I thought that this would xcover the query that you had, but instead you went on, and added some sarcastic comments of your own, claiming that we dont use common sense. As a former admin member, you know full well that we was left with no other choice other than to dopt Aub 2 places, as he gained positions. This was one point I tired to make in my opening post, although I also added that you may not have had to deal with a decision like this being on the Heat Admin Team, as it was a lot harder to do in Heat. I am sorry you feel our comments are uptight, but to be honest, I found your comments to be little offensive, and basically telling us we have done wrong, when for us, it was a no-brainer. Maybe not put very well, but my last comments on my last post are more than fair to be honest. You say its common sense that we should have let it go, but going down the rule of common sense, at what point do you draw the line, because if you allow it this once, then when people are accidentily pushed into the middle, they are going to start doing what Aub did and claim they just slotted in where there was space. So my basic question was at what point do you draw the line? 2 positions gained and find a clear space to rejoin? 3 positions gained as long as you find a space your fine? The simple thing to do is say that you will be dopted the number of places you gain should you gain positions by the use of the infield. There is no common sense grey area - it is a black and white, and everyone knows where they stand - for me this is exactly why Aub brought this to our attention himself. Like I said, maybe not tactfilly put late at night, but I think it was more than fair for me to ask those questions, based on the comments that you had made above. Comments are always welcome on the forum, and I will always try and comment on everything, and give you as much detail on a situation as possible. I always have done this, and I will continue to do so. Cheers Johno
  19. I think that is a totally different set of circumstance Mav, although that said, I thought it was a little out of order what Kimi did, as like you said, he had no intention of making the corner, and set out to use the run off area. Let me ask you one simple question though...... as your basically saying that it is ok to gain places as long as a) someone pushes you to the inside and b) you rejoin safely...... What is the maximum number of places you are allowed to gain? How many times in a race can you do it? How far can you go on the infield before you have to rejoin? You see, the basic rule is, you gain places, you will need to be dopt places, whether you deliberately rejoin in front of drivers or not, and in rfactor, due to the fact that the curbs dont hurt you as much as they did in heat, it would be easy to do on most tracks. Cheers Johno
  20. Don't forget this meeting guys. It may not carry any national points, or world championship qualifying points, BUT it does count towards the World of Shale and Grand National Championship Points. Also, it is your final chance to have a proper race around the track before the DOUBLE POINTS NATIONAL SERIES FINALE which takes place in November. If you think that only effects drivers in the shootout, then you would be wrong, as you can score double points that evening towards the National Series Grade Awards Chart.
  21. Mav, The disciplinary team thought exactly the same as you in terms of what forced him onto the track, the speed that he went round the shale, and the fact that he joined in a sensible slot. However, as you have pointed out, he gained 2 positions in the process of doing so, and thus we would not be setting a good example by letting a driver get away with this. In terms of a complaint, this was brought to our attention by Aub himself, although someone mentioned it to me but I actually cant remember who. However, this incident has no directly effected one driver shall we say, and thus I dont see why you think that an official complaint needs to be made. Also being as you have been on admin before (althought perhaps not have dealt with such an incident) when it comes to the gain of race positions, whether that be rolling too fast, or gaining positions by other means, then we deal with this issue. I remember one specific incident at Coventry in Heat. As said, we also have punished drivers for speeding on the rolling lap, and also jumping the start. In conclusion, yes Aub did the right thing by rejoining the track at a suitable place, however, in doing so, he gained 2 positions. We can not be seen to be allowing this, whether it is done deliberately or not (and as I say, I dont think it was done deliberately). As for what he could have done extra, I am afraid I cant comment as I dont check the replays, I just give out what the team decide. However, I am afraid that if your forced onto the shale for whatever reason, you have to join the track at a suitable time, but not in a place where positions are gained. I know he has done nothing wrong, but it is a case of bad luck, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cheers Johno
  22. There has been a change in the final result from Wednesday night. Aub #188 has been dopt 2 places for overtaking using the infield. This promotes 233 to 3rd and 551 to 4th. I would like to add that it was infact Aub himself that asked us to look into the incident. Credit must go to him for confessing this, so well done sir. Cheers Johno
  23. Hello Munch, First of all, welcome to UK Dirt Rfactor F1!! All of our lap times are kept on a big database at www.kev149.com. The website is thanks to Kev149. If you click on Rfactor 2009, Fixtures, and the any track, a little tool bar comes up at the bottom, where you can then see the lap times. I am afraid I am not good when it comes to setting up a steering wheel. My setup was created by a member called Hutch. I am not on that computer right now, but I will try and remember to post up a pick at some point over the weekend. Mine is not for pedals thoughs, as I dont use them. Cheers Johno

  25. Hello Guys, I think this is something that normally has to be done at some point in the season, but I would like to remind you once again. Please becareful when rejoining the race, whether you are rejoining from the infield, or after a spin. You may not mean to take anyone out deliberately, but carelessness when rejoining the track can spoil other people’s races, and thus the enjoyment of the members. Can I also remind you that rejoining the race carelessly, meaning you don’t look at what you are doing, intentional or not, can lead to disciplinary action being taken. If you are unhappy with the way that someone has rejoined the race, then please feel free to PM me with the details, and the Disciplinary Team will take a look at the incident. It became appeared to rear its head again last night, especially people using the shale. I know sometimes we end up on the inside, and it does get annoying (happened to me last night) but please try to find a gap in the racing before rejoining the race. In the event of a spin, please do not keep your foot down to try and correct. There was an incident last night that I seen where a driver kept his foot in, and took another 3 drivers out. This is not acceptable, and is punishable. You have all now been reminded - the next step is to start handing out discippinary points. Please remember, we want to create the best possible racing, and in the main the racing at UK Dirt F1 is fantastic, and we want, with your help, to keep it that way!! Cheers Johno
