  1. I will try and keep this up to date at the end of every meeting. I will only attach the points charts that have been effected by the meeting that has gone by. I will start a new post each week, so you can see the differences. PLEASE NOTE: Whilst this should be accurate, please take the points on Kev's site as Official. Kev's site can be accessed by clicking on the points charts on the UK Dirt Website.
  2. I apologise Dave - if you shouted up I must have missed it. Had I have realised, you could ahve slotted into either. Sorry sir.
  3. Hello All, First of all, can I say a huge thank you to Kev for sorting the servers tonight. Secondly, can I thank each and everyone of you for racing. Apart from tonights GN's, and a few no shows in the previous meeting, it was great to see everyone stick around. Onto the meeting, and tonight it was dominated by Ironmac #288, who got plenty of those valuable World Championship Qualifying Points. I will update those in a matter of moments after posting this. He also went onto win the Grand National, although he did not take the handicap. First off.... an apology. I am sorry the meeting ran a little longer than planned. Imade a mistake with the grand final, and then also I should have had 2 servers ready for the GN's. That was my fault, and will be noted for thenext double header in order to keep time going. Secondly.... and I am afraid this is a little rant. I wish people would tell me if they are leaving the meeting. I fully appreciate that the meeting went on longer than I it was intended too, Ilike to be finished by 10:30, and it was 10:50, but I think it is only fair for you to put in chat that you are leaving the meeting. This would have directly impacted on how I would have run the Grand Nationals, as I would have ran one, but as far as I was concerned, when I called the first Grand National, no one had told me they were leaving. Imade the mistake of assuming Tosh had left earlier on in the season, and was not going to make that call again. As it turns out I made that wrong call. So, I apologise to all of you that stayed for the Grand Nationals. HOWEVER...... TONIGHT HAS BEEN A POSITIVE FOR UK DIRT F1'S It has been not only great to see an imporvement in the number of drivers, but also the fact that we are attracting different drivers. It is absolutely fabulous to see, and I do hope that you will be back for more. It is also good to see that there were not too many complaints tonight in the server. There is no doubt that these are the 2 hardest tracks, in the calendar. One has a sharp breaking points, and one is so tight it is very hard to pass. But, there was not too many complaints, so that was really good!! NEXT WEEK Its the small matter of our first visit to COVENTRY, for a World Championship Qualifying Round, and another round of the National Series. It is destined to be an epic night, and I do hope that you will join us. THANKS ONCE AGAIN TO EVERYONE THAT RACED TONIGHT, AND I DO HOPE YOU WILL BE BACK FOR MORE EITHER NEXT WEEK, OR IN THE FUTURE! Cheers Johno

  12. Next Thursday sees the third One Night Double Headers. Thus far, we have had a shale spectacular, a Dutch double header, and now we are going to have the 2009 SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE HEADER. The Meetings - KNOCKHILL (Start time: 8pm) The 2009 SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIP - COWDENBEATH (Startime: 9:30pm) World Championship Qualifying Round 9 The tracks - KNOCKHILL This is the only track on the fixture list that does not have the traditional 4 corners. Instead, it has 2 corners, and one very tight hairpin, making it a very unique track on the calendar. Add to that the fact that there is no fence on the outside on the track, with this instead being replaced by gravel traps and grass, and you can see that this makes for a very interesting meeting. Last year, Knockhill produced a classic meeting that was very hard fought right through the grid, with the eventual winner of the title, The Green Genie (298), coming from the blue grade. - COWDENBEATH Although this does have the traditional 4 corners of an F1 race track, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that this is a unique venue. The track is so tight that it is very hard to pass, and is sometimes known as the track with one line. In real life, it is very scary because of how close you get to the wall on the outside, on most of the lap, and this has been replicated very nicely in the online version. Last year, the track was not around, but it was used in the Winter Series, and produced some very interesting racing. Action came from all through the field, and the reds really struggled to make their way through the field. There is no doubt that this is a good opportunity for some of the lower grade drivers to score some healthy points as they look for a good spot on the semi final grid. The Championship Race The championship race itself will be run as a normal meeting final at the Knockhill meeting. The top 20 drivers from the heats and consolation (if required) will be put onto the grid, gridded using grades within grades rule. The race will last over 20 laps, and the winner of the raced will become the 2009 SCOTTISH CHAMPION. The World Championship Qualifying Points Chart Kev updated his site this week, and after a hard fought meeting at Belle Vue the current points chart looks as follows (top 20 only – A full list can be found on Kev 149.com): 1 136 Kruiz 247 2 112 Tom D 166 3 3 Johno 166 4 137 MoR 161 5 16 JK 145 6 288 Ironmac 144 7 363 razza 137 8 8 tosh874 120 9 531 Lee 109 10 315 Mike 100 11 291 Marten 71 12 561 Murf 68 13 233 Grasser 67 14 216 speedtech 65 15 290 Dazza 60 16 151 dode 56 17 488 dave 55 18 2 Michael 54 19 11 chevy 47 20 188 Aub 46 Biggest mover from the Belle Vue meeting was MOR (137) who now finds himself currently in a front row slot for a semi final. KRUIZ (136) still currently holds a very good lead, and is unlikely to be caught as the meetings run down. IRONMAC (288) was another big mover and now finds himself in 6th pace in the chart, with a massive opportunity to get even higher as he will be starting at the yellow grade for this meeting. One man that appears to be in free fall in this chart is TOSH (8). After a bad meeting at Buxton, he was not very well and dint race at Belle Vue and now find himself in 8th place. Starting from red will be hard for anyone, but Tosh is at his home venue and thus this could well spur him on to get a good points haul. Elsewhere, DAVE (488) had a cracking meeting at Buxton, and after scoring quite well in the winter series at Cowdenbeath, he will no doubt be looking to try and score more points and cement his place inside the top 20. MICHAEL (2) could well race and thus continue his progress in the chart. Looking outside the top 20, and it is possible that JIMMY (259) and TRAV (365) could find themselves in the top 20 after Cowdenbeath. Both drivers are in the lower grades, and are currently going well, so therefore they are a good bet to get into the top 20. One thing to note is that only 20 cars will be on the grid for the meeting final, due to the tight nature of the track. The Booking List As it stands, the booking list for KNOCKHILL is the only one that is open, and that is because you can book in on the UK Dirt Website, and at the time of writing this, and with a week left to go, there is currently 12 cars booked in. There is no doubt that this booking list will increase as the week goes on, but it is good to see that we already have two Scottish drivers in the field in the form of WALKER (363) and TOSH (8). Both drivers will be looking for a really good double header at their home venue. Bookings for COWDENBEATH will now take place at the bottom of this thread. If you would like to book in for this meeting, then add your name and your grade below. I will try and keep the booking list up to date throughout the week. Finally There is no doubt that this double header is going to be heard work, but if you want 2 meetings that are not for the faint hearted, then these are definitely the meetings to attend. The racing in real life in Scotland is sensational, and I am sure that our version of the Scottish Weekend will not disappoint. So what are you waiting for, get yourself booked in....... UK Dirt Website for KNOCKHILL and on THIS THREAD for COWDENBEATH. Cheers Johno

    Skin Uploads

With no Rfactor meeting this week, this is a good time to get some skins sent in, just like Mnis has done. I really would like to narrow down the number of Novice skins that we currently have on track, as it is getting difficult to pick out some cars.
  15. Hello All, This week sees yet another big meeting for the Rfactor F1's, with both WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING POINTS and NATIONAL SERIES POINTS UP FOR GRABS. Both tables can be seen on last weeks results thread from Buxton. In terms of the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING SERIES, the leader at this point is KRUIZ. He had a dreadful meeting at Buxton, but fortunately for him, so did the people closest to him, and thus he still has a very comfortable lead in the series. However, the story is very different in the NATIONAL SERIES, and after Kruiz's disappointing meeting, MOR is now the new leader in the series after his best meetng of the season, and will be looking to build on that. Looking at the CUT OFF POINT, and MIKE (315) has managed to climd into the top 6 a the expense of TOSH. There is no way that Tosh will take this lying down, and with other drivers just behind him, MIKE will need another good meeting to maintain his position in the top 6. After this week meeting, we will be half way through the first 22 meetings, and thus the race for the SHOOTOUT. It is amazing how close the series is, and it is looking, thus far, like it has been a very good idea to introduce the National Series this year. PLEASE NOTE: I will not be available this week, and any PM's need to be directed at KRUIZ or another member of the Admin Team. I am coming back to race the Rfactor meeting, but wont have time to compete in the Heat meeting. SPIKE will be the race manager for the evening, so be sure to get yourself booked in. Cheers Johno
  16. Good video JK. Very interesting to watch. Cheers Johno
  17. I think that this rule suits online racing very well. I didnt know it was a rule in real life. We brought it in a couple of years ago, not because it was a rule in real life, but because at the start of a season wwe woere getting new drivers that were coming in, practicing over the winter, and then dominating the early meetings, and thus, clearly being very undergraded. Parky and BigMaus were the examples we used when we bought in the rule. I must confess, it was brought in for Heat, and just copied over to Rfactor when we started racing. That said, I still dont think that it is a bad rule to have, especially considering we have some very long grading periods in Rfactor. I think in this grading period, there are 8 or 9 meetings that he could be racing from white, and after last nights display, it i very clear that he is undergraded (Sorry Dave). That said, if people feel strongly about it, we will look into it next year, but has it has already been used this year, it would be unfair to change this rule in the middle of a season. Hope that explains the thought process behind it Cheers Johno
  18. Hello All, Well it was a bit of a disasterous night for me - spun out in my heats, although fought back in one, and then spun again in the final and stuck on the infield. Having watched the replay, I think I owe JK an apology. Whilst he went in hard, he certainly did not follow me in. However, the DP will take a look into the meeting final, because every red top went round the fence into turns one and two - and that means that something is not right. There is a famous phase a few of you might want to remember - "you cant win the race on lap 1, but you sure has hell can lose it". Food for thought perhaps. Anyway, top stuff in terms of running the meeting by Spike. Thanks to Kev for stewarding the races, and a big well doen to Dave on taking both heats and the final. This of course means that he scored over 30 points, and thus will start the next meeting, at Belle Vue, from yellow. Finally, for this section, it was really good to see Corny and Munis racing. Ido hope to see you back in the very near future. It is always great to get new drivers. Here is an updated list of the National Series and World Championship Qualifying Points. The National Series sees a new leader, and after some of the big names failed to score big tonight, the series just gets a little tighter, and means that there is still everything to play for. The World Qualifiers are also bunching up quite nicely too, so still all to play for. Thanks to Kev for the template to start with. Finally, I am camping with my kids at school this week, and therefore I wont be available. If you have any queries regarding the meeting, then please direct them at another member of the Admin Team. Cheers Johno
  19. Slight error made, but it has been adjusted if you download it after this post. Cheers Johno

  22. It will be finished later tonight dont worry. Apologies for not doing it tomorrow. I did no work whilst I was at Skegness and had to leave it all to last night - oops. Johno
  23. Good work Walker - the photos are becoming a superb extra to any meeting. Tanks very much to you and Tosh for doing this.
  24. Hello Guys, I apologise for no newsletter, but I aint feeling too good.... but thought you better know the grades for the coming week!! Up to Superstar 233 Up to Red 3, 8, 315, 323 Down to Red 531 Up to Blue 256 Down to Blue 216, 259 Up to Yellow None Down to Yellow 288 Down to White 488 Congratulations to all those drivers who have been promoted. Comisserations to those drivers that have been relegated. I think the changes make for a very exciting month ahead. The newsletter will be available on Sunday evening. Back to bed now, as I want to be in skeg vegas tomorrow!! Cheers Johno
  25. Thanks very muc to Spike for running the meeting and to Kev for stewarding, as it would have been hard for me to steward with it being a clutch start. Anyway, for me it was a good night. I only made a good start in 1 race, which I won, but apart from that, I didnt, but I fought back well to pick up some good results, and thus good points. Surprised the turnout was so low, but expect it to be higher next week with the new grade changes, coupled with it being tarmac, add to that world qualifying points. If that aint enough for you, it is also a National Series Round. Speaking of the National Series, things are hotting up really nicely in the race to be in the top 6. I think it is still possible for the top ten to still get in, but it would be great to see someone from lower down put them all under pressure. We also have a new leader, as with Tom D not racing, Kruiz put in some good results to take the lead. Unfortunately for him, it is not a big lead at this stage as many people are close to him. The next 2 weeks sees 2 more rounds of the series, and with that meaning we would be over the half way mark, we really would have a good idea who are the main contenders for getting into the race for the silver roof!! Initial points taken from Kev's site, with tonights points added on.
