Hello Guys, Tonight sees us racing at the newest BriSCA track Scunthorpe where the mighty F1's will do battle for those all important 2010 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING POINTS. With 19 drivers booked, the meeting will be all in, with 2 Heats, Final and Grand National. Should two more drivers book to race, then we will switch to a two thirds format. Cheers Johno ***1 DRIVERS ADDED***

As Dazza says, tomorrow night is also the night where the GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is up for grabs. It will be the first race of the meeting, but with SCUNTHORPE POINTS STILL TO COUNT, the grid is NOT YET available. I thought it would be interesting though to look at what it currently stands like: 112 .. 2 363 .. 527 315 .. 561 3 .. 137 365 .. 8 16 .. 136 531 .. 221 323 .. 290 233 .. 599 288 .. 216 256 .. 300 --------------- 488 .. 11 391 .. 151 164 .. 525 17 .. 236 The drivers below the line are outside of the current top 22, but with the multiplication system in effect, it is very possible for those drivers to scrape into the race. That said, there are some drivers on the grid who have not raced in recent meetings, and should they not turn up, then the next available driver(s) will be seeded onto the grid.

Top stuff once again with the posters Dazza - you and Walker are doing a fantastic job. Just to add to the interest, here is the current World Championship Qualifying Points Chart after 2 rounds. It's fantastic to see that 31 driers have already competed in a World Championship Qualifying Round, and it is also fantastic to see that the star grade drivers are not having it all their own way!! 1 \\ 236 DanSkin \\ BRADFORD: 36 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 48 \\ TOTAL: 84 2 \\ 136 Kruiz \\ BRADFORD: 38 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 21 \\ TOTAL: 59 3 \\ 315 Mike \\ BRADFORD: 23 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 36 \\ TOTAL: 59 4 \\ 112 Tom D \\ BRADFORD: 33 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 13 \\ TOTAL: 46 5 \\ 151 dode \\ BRADFORD: 36 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 9 \\ TOTAL: 45 6 \\ 588 fordy \\ BRADFORD: 15 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 25 \\ TOTAL: 40 7 \\ 39 LeeK \\ BRADFORD: 23 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 7 \\ TOTAL: 30 8 \\ 2 Michael \\ BRADFORD: 9 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 19 \\ TOTAL: 28 9 \\ 551 Savage \\ BRADFORD: 27 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 27 10 \\ 3 Johno \\ BRADFORD: 14 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 13 \\ TOTAL: 27 11 \\ 323 Madcowie \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 23 \\ TOTAL: 23 12 \\ 137 MoR \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 22 \\ TOTAL: 22 13 \\ 488 Dave \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 21 \\ TOTAL: 21 14 \\ 233 Grasser \\ BRADFORD: 19 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 0 \\ TOTAL: 19 15 \\ 445 SamW \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 17 \\ TOTAL: 17 16 \\ 531 Lee \\ BRADFORD: 13 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 3 \\ TOTAL: 16 17 \\ 259 jimmymuk \\ BRADFORD: 10 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 2 \\ TOTAL: 12 18 \\ 290 Dazza \\ BRADFORD: 11 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 11 19 \\ 87 Robin \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 11 \\ TOTAL: 11 20 \\ 527 fast track \\ BRADFORD: 0 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 8 \\ TOTAL: 8 21 \\ 8 Tosh \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 8 \\ TOTAL: 8 22 \\ 599 Harold \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 6 \\ TOTAL: 6 23 \\ 363 razza \\ BRADFORD: 3 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 0 \\ TOTAL: 3 24 \\ 164 Jarry \\ BRADFORD: 2 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 2 25 \\ 41 Drumbstick \\ BRADFORD: 1 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 1 26 \\ 391 Corny \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 1 \\ TOTAL: 1 27 \\ 15 Bumpy \\ BRADFORD: 0 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 0 28 \\ 221 Spike \\ BRADFORD: 0 \\ BIRMINGHAM: 0 \\ TOTAL: 0 29 \\ 365 travel \\ BRADFORD: 0 \\ BIRMINGHAM: NA \\ TOTAL: 0 30 \\ 495 Lew \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 0 \\ TOTAL: 0 31 \\ 126 Leech \\ BRADFORD: NA \\ BIRMINGHAM: 0 \\ TOTAL: 0

Hello Guys, The British Drivers Championship is now only 24 hours away, and with the second most prestigious title in UK Dirt up for grabs, it is surely a meeting not to be missed. The meeting itself sees a very uniqure format being used, with each driver racing in 5 Heats, before the grid is calculated based on points scored in the heats. It has the ingredients to be a classic meeting.... what it needs now is the drivers!! Also, who do you think will win? Who do you fancy for the title? The defending champ appears to be out of action due to injury, so we are sure to have a new champion. Well it be TomD, the current grading points and National Series leader? Will it be World Champion Dazza? Will JK have another good run in a championship meeting? Will it be new comer Robin? Will another blue grade driver step up to the plate? Dare we suggest a yellow grade driver to take the title? What do you guys think? Cheers Johno

***BOOKING INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST*** Hello Guys, As you are aware, we are now into the final month / month and a bit of the season, and plans are already underway for 2010 season, especially with it being UK Dirt's tenth anniversary. Anyway, one of the things that we would like to perhaps tweak is tyre wear, with us increasing the wear rate. The reason we would like to test this is to try and encourage drivers to drive into and round corners a little straighter. We believe that tarmac standards maybe a little lower due to the fact that in order to be quick on the tarmac, you almost need to drive with the backend of the car out. This in turns means that when drivers hit each other, they soemtimes get it wrong and end up hitting people on the rear wheel, which can sometimes spin them out. This then in some cases causes anger, and before you know it, we have banger racing rather than F1 stocl car racing. Now you may say - well how is this going to help by increasing the tyre rate? Well, my feeling is that if drivers drive with the backend out all of the time, then their tyres will go off quicker, as per real life. This will then mean that in the later stages of the race, they will struggle with grip. This will lead to them slowing down, and perhaps spinning out. What this should then do is encourage them to tweak their set ups slightly so the car is 'tighter' and thus the tyres are saved a little more. This in turn means that back ends are not being hung out, and hits then become sqaure on the bumper, and the chances of spinning should then be slightly reduced. Anyway, that is our reasoning for trying it, and we wanted to let you all know before the meeting. THIS BASICALLY MEANS THAT THE WEAR RATE ON THE SERVER WILL BE SET TO X2, RATHER THAN ITS CURRENT SETTING OF NORMAL. Here is a little more information for you: - The tyre rate is to be changed for this meeting only. It will then be normal for all of the remaining meetings in 2009. - This meeting has been chosen as it is the final meeting in the season where there are no World Qualifying Points, National Series Points and Championship Races. - The tyre wear will stay on x2 for the full meeting. - The Admin Team urge as many people as possible to attend the meeting, in order to help with the testing. - Feedback will be requested from all the drivers taking part in the meeting, so that we can make a decision regarding 2010. - The reason the Winter Series has not been chosen to test this decision is so that we can make an announcement as soon as possible, and thus you can then use the winter series to get used to those slightly tweaked set ups. My final comment would be this: Please give it a try and see how it goes. We are just looking for ways to try and improve the racing, and if it does not work, then we dont use it - its that simple. Finally, I have tried to cover every possible question that you might have, but if I have missed something, then please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to answer your question BOOKINGS As we have a big meeting on Thursday, I have removed the Hednesford meeting from the database for the time being, so that you can book in for the BRITISH DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE WEBSITE. If you would like to take part in the Hednesford meeting, then please book in on this thread. The meeting starts at 7:45pm. Hello Guys, Next Thursday sees another one of UK Dirt F1's double header, but this time it is the first of 2 NATIONAL SERIES SHOOTOUT DOUBLE HEADERS. The Sheffield meeting came up with a surprising set of results, with Both Michael and TomD suffering at the hands of computer problems in the meeting final, and in Michael's case, the Grand National too. Are they out of it yet? Far from it!! No one really stamped their claim on the series, although leaders MoR (137) and Johno (3) will be looking to extend their lead. There is also the small fact of jokers. Will any of the drivers play their jokers at the daring Scottish Double Header? It will be interesting to see if they do, but of course jokers are secret, and in this situation, should be told to Kev and Kev only. Please do not send them to me. So what about the rest of the field? Well there is quite a nice battle going on for 7th place, with Dutchman Mike still leading the way from Lee, with World Championship Dazza waiting in the wings. And then of course there is the grade awards, which are still up for grabs. Looking at the list, the blue grade award is probably the one that is the closest, with Walker unable to defend his position, will Tosh be able to take advantage? Dont forget, it is still possible for non-shootout drivers to play their jokers, and try and improve their position in not only the main points chart, but their grades points charts as well. The scottish venues bought some utterly fantastic action last time out, and with the shootout moving up their too, only the best action is expected again.
