  1. Surely you want to come and knock me about!
  2. Hello Blymn, It is indeed the first time that we hvae raced on this track under league conditions. I did a few laps last night and I got to 13.5. I would expect perhaps a Tom or Dan to be doing a little bit quicker. So 13.8 from white sounds very good to me! Cheers Johno
  3. Bookings for the Semi Final up to date. With a few more expected to book in - it is looking like one of the best semi finals in a long time! Cheers Johno
  4. I have added a booking list to the bottom of the thread. Cheers Johno
  5. Hello All, Just tolet you know, the UK Dirt Website is now up to date in terms of F1 points. The only chart not up to date is the race winners chart. This will be updated shortly when I have had chance to re-check all the data. It is interesting to note that there are some very tight championships on there atm, including the Whites and Yellows and Blues and Reds. Extra incentive for those drivers to get themselves booked in for meetings I think. Cheers Johno
  6. Congratulations to all of the top 10 for qualifying for the World Final in September. Apologies for any confusion caused, but it is and has been top 10 for the last few years. Fancy confirmation being in the rules though Can I also take this opportunity to thank Tom for race managing the meeting. I know it is very different to any other league in that certain races are gridded and then there are other extra races too. I think he did a great job when you take into account it was his first attempt. Sorry well done Tom and thanks very much. You will have another special guest race manager next week...... but this guy will be doing it a little more often than just next week I have heard One final thing, the website will be up to date either tomorrow or Monday. I realised on Thursday that I had not updated it from Sheffield either, so apologies for that. Cheers Johno
  7. List up to date guys. Just to clarify on the reserve front, those 5 drivers listed are the only drivers that have scored World Championship Qualifying Points this season. I won't be around tonight after 7pm, but TomD will be your race manager for the evening (thank you Tom!). Good luck to everyone in the Semi Final. Cheers Johno
  8. Hello All, Here are this grading periods grade changes: UP TO SUPERSTAR 236, 560 DOWN TO RED 151, 391, 233 UP TO RED 262, 155 DOWN TO BLUE 39 UP TO BLUE 231 UP TO YELLOW 122 (This is due to scoring over 30 points at the last meeting at Sheffield and not to do with the grading period.) DOWN TO WHITE 515 Congratulations to all those drivers that have moved up the grades. Comisserations to those drivers that have dropped down. Cheers Johno
  9. I couldnt make last week and wont be around this week. I do love racing these and will be back. I do agree that these are the easiest mod to pick up and race though. Certainly well worth a try if you are new to rfactor. Cheers Johno
  10. Hello All, First of all thanks to everyone that has raced in tonight's meeting at Sheffield. I thought the racing was superb around one of the best tracks in the league. 11. Hello All, Welcome to tonight's meeting at Sheffield. VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE!! Last week's starts were nothing short of appauling at times. This week we will be having a big clamp down and punishing people accordingly. The UK Dirt F1 Admin Team would like to remind you of the following: (1) The rolling speed is 20mph maximum (2) Always keep the grade gap the correct length (3) Stay close to your grade. Within a grade, you should be no more than 1 car length behind a driver in front. You are NOT allowed to warm tyres or back off your grade for no reason. PRACTISE Practise for tonight's meeting will end at 8:20pm so the server can be set up for the meeting. Please be in chat by 8:25pm for meeting informtion. Heat 1 will be sent at 8:30pm. THE FORMAT - BLUES AND REDS - HEAT 1 - HEAT 2 - FINAL - GN 1 HEAT GRIDS As it stands, all drivers will be in every race. Should we get anymore late bookings, then we will revert to a two thirds format. *Drivers, please check you have 2 heats each. Stewards, please let me know if you cant steward any race. SERVER INFORMATION We will be racing in the server ending .48. We will try to run from the server to save some time, but should we have any issues then we will return to MiRC Chat. Cheers Johno
  12. Can I have a booking please. Sick of working and need something different to do!! Cheers Johno
  13. Hello All, With all the qualifying rounds completed, MoR (137) finished the series as top points scorer and therefore had the option of which semi final venue he would like. He choose the first World Championship Semi Final which takes place in a little over a weeks time at Skegness. In the event of a tie, a driver's highest score from a qualifying round was used to decide who was highest on the chart. In the evnt of the highest score being a tie and a driver having no further scores to use, their highest final finish in a qualifying round was used. Here are the 2011 World Championship Semi Final grids: Reserves (in order): 164, 48, 531, 4, 465 Further details and previews will be made available closer to the time of the semi finals. Congratulations to all those drivers that have made it onto the grids. Cheers Johno
  14. Sorry - totally forgot to put that on! I have put the result on. I will try and get the replays but I will need to ask about first as I am not sure how to do it. Cheers Johno
  15. Hello All, First of all, thanks to everyone that raced over the 2 days. Thanks to Spike for RM'ing yesterday and to Hooty for stewarding for us tonight. I think it is fair to say that the racing was very hard tonight. I think when driving you need to try and think whether it is a time for fighting for position or a time fr trying to gain time, and overall places. Perhaps that is just the way I drive. Anyway, congratulations to Dode on becoming the 2011 European Champion. That mus have been a good drive from the back of the grid. From then on, it became the DanSkin show. Dan won the final and then came 4th from the handicap. Hard luck goes to James, as he was so far in front at the drop of the chequered, but he was infront of a car he shouldnt be when the green flag dropped. 19. This Wednesday and Thursday sees the mighty UK Dirt F1’s do battle in their European Double Header. These two meetings are arguably the biggest to date as the Wednesday night is the FINAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING ROUND and the Thursday night is the night when the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP will be fought over. WEDNESDAY NIGHT - NORTHAMPTON Information Quite often, when the final World Championship Qualifying Round comes, the grid is pretty much cut and dry. But this is far from the case this year. The battle for the top spot in well and truly on with MoR (137) just 18 points ahead of the defending World Champion TomD (112). Add to the mix Mike (315) and DanSkin (236) battling for the front row position, with another 6 drivers battling for the right to start on row 2, and you would be forgiven for thinking that this meeting could well be for nothing. When you then add to that the fact that a further 8 non-seeded drivers will book their place on the grid for Thursday’s European Championship plus the Premier League and Whites and Yellows races, then Wednesday night is set to be an absolute classic! And one other thing that might just tempt you into racing…… this is the only chance you will have to practice in a meeting on this year’s WORLD FINAL VENUE! Booking Information To book in for this meeting, you need to book in as usual on the UK Dirt Website. Spike will be your Race Manager for the evening and I will try and keep you up to date with all the comings and goings in the battle for World Championship Qualifying Points. Meeting Format Start time: 7:45pm - Whites and Yellows - Premier League - Heat 1 - Heat 2 - Heat 3 - Final - Grand National *Meeting format subject to change. Further heats, consolations and Grand Nationals may be required on the night. THURSDAY NIGHT – ARENA ESSEX Information Thursday night is EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP night and we are guaranteed a new champion (as at the time of writing this JK is not a registered member). The grid will be made up of 16 drivers who are seeded directly on the grid (see below) and a further 8 drivers from the Wednesday night. They will then line up grades within grades according to the National Points Chart. From there, 25 laps will determine the winner who will have the right to wear the red and yellows cheques for one year. Seeded Drivers #1 Tom D #137 MoR #151 dode #236 DanSkin #391 Corny #3 Johno #315 Mike #188 Aub #262 Harmen #39 LeeK #221 Spike #8 Tosh #380 davey boy #277 southy #300 Mattyaspin #233 Grasser Booking Information To book in for this meeting you need to go onto the UK Dirt forum and look for a thread entitled ‘THURSDAY 7th JULY: European Championship Bookings’. If you click on the writing, it should take you directly to the thread. Meeting Format Start time: 8:30pm - European Championship - Heat 1 - Heat 2 - Heat 3 - Final - Grand National *Meeting format subject to change. Further heats, consolations and Grand Nationals may be required on the night. FINALLY This is undoubtedly the biggest double header of the year and has been a tradition now since the first ever double header back in 2006. Now in it’s 6th year, we hope to continue to make this event as big as possible. So get yourself booked in and bring a friend too, and lets make this two meetings that are simply unforgettable! Cheers Johno
