  1. Yes it is Mav
  2. That made me laugh Aub. Dode, I believe you are referring to me. Your quite right that I did go across the infield and several occasions, all after being either spun or half spun. The difference is that I did not gain any positions and I rejoined the track safely. I am more than happy to have any incident reviewed by F1 Admin or General Admin. I have absolutely nothing to hide at all. In terms of more chat, I noticed it between the final and Grand National. I dont think anyone was out on track practicing and there was quite a lot of text scrolling down the display. I maybe wrong but I just felt there was more chat tonight. Davey, in terms of Buxton, I think it is a case of back to the drawing board. I believe the grip levels have been altered and a re-release was made recently. I have not had a play on the track yet so will let you know when I have. Cheers Johno
  3. Hello All, First of all thanks to everyone that raced tonight. I thought that the racing was simply sensational tonight once again which is a credit to each and every driver that raced. Congratulations to TomD on winning the 2011 Dutch Championship. It was a scrap at the start for him, but in the end he broke away on about lap 7 and was never to be touched again. Congratulations to LeeK on being the top scorer. Also, just before I get onto the results, it was great to see some fresh faces. Grasser, Daveyboy, Mav JNR and Lars all joined us tonight and helped to produce some superb racing. I do hope that we will see you all again in the near future. Next week we are back on the quest for those all important World Championship Qualifying Points when we visit Buxton (dont forget to download the latest version from the UK Dirt website). Finally, I don't post personal opinions on here often (on the results page I mean) but I would like to here after some of the discussions that took place this week (and in the main very positive discussions I may add). I really felt tonight that inbetween the races, there was far more talking tonight. I did take a little bit more time inbetween the races today in the hope that it generated a bit more talking time and I think it worked. There was a laugh and a joke had tonight in between some superb racing. Perhaps as race managers, this is soemthing that we should look to do more often. What do you guys think? Cheers Johno

  8. Hello Pete, LeeK was just pointing out that you have not raced and therefore wouldnt know if team racing was going on or not. And yes you did suggest something is going on: Rest assured, I have raced all but 2 F1 meetings this year, and have missed very few meetings in the last few years and I have never seen 'Team racing' as you put it. I have seen people race people differently, ie don't hit them back, but not team racing. The three that you have been talking about in F1 all started at different grades this year, hence part of the reason why they are currently in the top 3. They have just recently all come together and have been knockhing the living hell out of each other, so if they are team racing, they need to change their tactics. I think you make some fair points, but at the same time you do make 'suggestions' as you put it and LeeK has just told you how the league is currently. I persoally dont see that as being rude at all. Cheers Johno EDIT: I have also been in the teamspeak channel a couple of times in the middle of last season and I was never told to wipe anyone out. In the server I was in, with basically UKSOM members, if you went to race you went into a seperate room where you can't hear anything so we were not distracted from racing and nothing was said and we couldnt hear the none racers talking.
  9. I reaced last night on the basis that it was a new track and I actually had a play in the F1 there to see if it was suitable to run a meeting in the Winter Series last year. The only thing that stopped me was the amount of weeks we had and some of the things we wanted to achieve with the Winter Series. As for the track, I really like it. I only visited the track once in real life (2006 rings a bell) but it seems to be what I remembered. I would personally like to see the curbs more rounded. I do think they are a little extreme. Oterwise superb track - congratulations on creating a good race track. Cheers Johno
  10. Hello All, First of all, thanks to everyone that raced in tonights meeting. There were some momentus battles, especially amongst the stars but it was all good clean racing. Well done to Matty on winning heat and final tonight. This helped him to become the top points scorer in the meeting. Results: Heat 1: 300 137 1 8 315 391 90 3 151 277 Heat 2: 137 391 1 300 236 8 90 151 315 515 A-Final: 300 137 3 515 188 1 151 236 391 315 GN: 3 315 277 300 391 188 1 8 137 221 Points: 49 pts 300 Matty 41 pts 137 MoR 35 pts 3 Johno 32 pts 1 TomD 26 pts 391 Corny 23 pts 188 Aub 22 pts 315 Mike 17 pts 515 Big Al 15 pts 8 Tosh 13 pts 277 Southy 12 pts 236 DanSkin 12 pts 151 Dode 5 pts 221 Spike 4 pts 90 Liam 0 pts 199 Waqar Couple of twekas in the results that came from the racing. With Heat 2, Corny has been placed in second. On review of the replays, he crosses the line. In the final, TomD misses the timing loop on the straight through no fault of his own, and therefore has been put in his rightful position of 6th. Next week we move back onto the tarmac of Skegness. I hope to see you all racing. Cheers Johno

  16. We will need to use this as the booking thread for tomorrow's meeting as the website is still down. I can remember certain names being on the list but I think it is best to wait for you all to confirm rather than me put down what I think. So if you could re-confirm your booking please. Cheers Johno
  17. With the site being down may I suggest that you book in here guys just incase it does not return in the near future. Johno #3 Booking in. Cheers Johno
  18. BOOKING LIST WHITES #199 Waqar YELLOWS #300 Matty #515 Big Al BLUES #90 Liam #221 Spike #236 DanSkin #277 Southy REDS #3 Johno #8 Tosh #137 MoR #391 Corny SUPERSTARS #1 TomD #151 Dode #188 Aub #315 Mike TOTAL: 15 This week sees the mighty UK Dirt F1’s take to the shale of Belle Vue for an all important World Championship Qualifying Round. This week’s meeting will also see the new grades come into effect, which always adds some extra interest to any meeting. Last week’s World Championship Qualifying Round saw Dode (151) pick up his second final win of the season which propelled him to forth in the current points chart. Dode also finds himself top of the National Points chart after a fine first grading period. This has led to him being promoted to superstar for the first time in his F1 career. Another driver to reach superstar for the first time since 2008 is Aub (188). Aub was the final winner at Northampton and he will be hoping that his excellent start to the season can continue now that he will start from the very back of the pack. Add to this the fact that the current World and National Series Champion Tom D (1), the Nuneaton ace MoR (137), the Dutch number one Mike (315), the returning Johno (3) and new red grade driver Corny (391) are all currently booked in to race and the meeting could once again be another UK Dirt F1 classic around the superb Belle Vue Shaleway! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING POINTS Looking at the World Qualifying Points chart, we can see that it is very close for the number one spot. The number one spot does not sound like much, as the number two spot will have pole position for a semi final too, but when you consider that the driver finishing first gets to choose his semi final venue, perhaps this year more than any other it could be crucial. Currently holding the top spot is defending World Champion TomD (1). Tom has a 3 point lead over MoR (137), but with MoR dropping to red for the next grading period, we could see this lead swap. Just 26 point behind them is Dutch sensation Mike (315). Since a dreadful first meeting of the year, where he scored 0 points, Mike has scored heavily and is now in position to strike should any of the top two slip up. WHITES AND YELLOWS This week also sees another round of the Whites and Yellows Series. The current leader is Spike JNR (172) but he is being closely chased by one of the sensations of the 2011 season Big Al (515). Southy (277) is not too far behind but he will be starting from blue and therefore not eligible to race in the series for at least the foreseeable future. The current points are as follows: spikejnr 172........40 Big Al 515...........36 southy 277..........34 Waqar 199..........22 Dave488.............18 scootaah 339......12 Despite the low car numbers, the whites and yellows series has produced some superb racing, with at least two of the races going down to the final bend. This is a valuable series in that it allows the lower grade drivers a time to shine before the big boys join the pack. The series has been a credit to those drivers involved so far and I hope that further drivers will come and join the racing in the future. SO……… What are you waiting for? This meeting had all the ingredients that make up a sensational night of F1 racing action. Come and join in the fun and see just how good the racing has been!
  19. I have just done a few laps on the new Lelystad (trying hard to avoid work) and I must say I do like it despite the fact it is different to the norm. Well done to all the track builders involved. I know it takes a lot of timeand effort even to tweak something, so thank you very much. Cheers Johno
  20. WORLD OF SHALE...... WHITES AND YELLOWS SERIES....... NEW UK DIRT F1 PREMIER LEAGUE........ ALL AT THE EPIC KINGS LYNN........ IT ADVERTISES ITSELF!
